Location, warm blankets, breakfast, stove for wood fire
Wet floor = soggy, cold feet. Host recommended throwing towels down but because it was raining, the floor got wetter and wetter. The host was rather flippant with my complaint and couldn't believe my stay was ruined by a wet floor. The wet area was right by the entryway and couldn't be seen where wet vs dry area was. I requested a discount on my stay - still waiting.

I loved the comfort of the bed, the entire concept, the calm, the breakfast.
No way to get a shower without having to drive 10km!!!!

Comfy beds, warm bedsheets, fireplace, all equipment in the Yurt, atmosphere and wonderful view! Breakfast.
Everything was very clean.
The way to the toilet was a little steep and long, but we knew it's separate from the Yurt. Just come prepared with good shoes.

Cosy and warm with excellent views and comfy beds. We loved our stay here so extended it for a day. Definitely a highlight of the holiday.
There was no warm water when we went so it was a bit back to basics. Still loved it though.

Everything. The best Place in Akureyri
Nothing. Everuthing in the right Place.
Details make the difference¹

The yurt was a great experience. The owners communicated clearly about everything and the yurt was so cozy. We appreciated the nice touch of breakfast. Didnt get to make it to the pool but good to know we had that as an option, especially since there are no on site shower facilities.
Perhaps I didn't read the property description clearly, but we didn't understand in advance that we would be sharing a bathroom facility with the other three yurts. So, we juggled a total of like 10 or so people entering and exiting. Wasnt too bad but perhaps I glossed over that detail. The only other note I would share is that we needed more firewood. We ran out and had to scavenge for firewood under the bathroom facilities. Would be great to have access to more.

Loved to cozy yurt! It was well thought out. Fire alarm, extinguisher & safety kit. Clean bathrooms. Quiet. Good directions!
Nothing!

Loved the fact that we could grill get outside and grill burgers. The yurt was very clean, spacious and comfortable for the four of us. We also really enjoyed the location in relation to the city and with the amazing views.

Nice view, nice cosy oven.
Long walking distance from parking.
There is no clearly said in description that there is no possibility of shower, no bathroom, especially when you come after 20 00. If you come earlier you can only use free entrance to the pool which is located 10 min car distance from Yurt.
There is no common restroom on place, there is only a small common toilet ( called restroom) located 100m from Yurt.

Only toilet, non shower

Unique experience with an absolutely beautiful view, particularly at sunset
All the little details were thought of by the owners
Property wasn’t warm on arrival

Staying in a original Yurt by minus temperature was cosy. We slept with a legging and sweater on. In the morning it was quite cold. It becomes warm when the fire is lit quickly. My son and daughter like to chop the wood and light the fire. It was an experience
But 1 night was enough.
There was only a little sink with extremely cold water. The water heater was broken. I reported it in the evening, but it wasn't fixed in the morning. And 2 toilets which didn't close, for 2 Yurt.
The breakfast was disappointing. 100 ml milk, a bag with cookies, 1 liter juice and yogurt, jam, cheese, butter, muesli , enough tea and coffee but only 2 slices of bread per person. We saw a photo on booking.com of croissants and a whole bread or skyr.
So we had to go to get some more breakfast on the way to our tour, which we didn't count on.

A nice and cosy Yurt! Would recommend it to anyone! A nice experience!

We loved the setting, views and furnishings in our Yurt nos.1. The decorations for my daughter's birthday were a nice touch. Lighting the log burner was fun and my daughter enjoyed relaxing reading on her birthday. Great breakfast too The entry to the swimming pool was also a great bonus also.
Possibly the steps up to the toilet utility hut could be better. A shower on site also would be good if staying longer than one night. Other than that don't change it. Superb place.

Excellent location across the bay from Akureyri! sweeping views of the town and the fjord. Our host was amazing and offered to drive us down to our car because of the rain. If you want a unique experience, I would definitely recommend!

A wood burn stove, a huge cozy bed, a kettle full of tea, an incense burner full of nag champa, and wet weather outside. Life doesn't get much better!
Nothing, the experience was perfect.
4.4
Really good homemade breakfast, charming decor, beautiful view
The beds were not good, too much light coming in while sleeping and the birds landing non stop on the top of the tent making noise by hitting the chimney made it almost impossible to sleep

Amazing place and experience! Very nice and cozy yurts! And do not worry if you come in cold season - the fire place eill help you) We really enjoyed our stay here))

This is a unique experience for Iceland. The yurt had an authentic Mongolian feeling to it. Instructions to make a fire were helpful. Heated bathroom a plus. Bed was warm and comfortable. Erwin and Solla were responsive.
We could not find the location on Google maps, or by asking neighbors. Had to call Erwin. A sign would be great. Also the yurt is a long walk from the parking, would be useful to mention in advance, along with the distance to the bathroom. A flashlight would be very helpful. Overpriced for the value.

Excellent communication from host and setup prefect for my 1 yo infant. Other kids (6 and 7) played outside pretty much the whole time. View is excellent. Some amazing shots. Drone flying was limited prob due to airport nearby but I was able to get some decent pics.
Wish there was a shower and hot water but oh well. Hike up to the yurt with three kids and luggage was doable but can be challenging for other.

Stunning, remote and peaceful location with beautiful views across the valley, Akureyri and mountains. Very comfortable beds, basic breakfast, super nice hosts.

Super cute and cozy place. Felt like a Mongolian Princess. Excellent breakfast. Amazing view.
Smells a bit weird in the beginning then I figured it was the smoke accumulation from the fire place probably.

Exceptional stay, absolutely stunning location! The bed in the yurt was one of the most comfortable we've stayed in, it was wonderfully cozy with a good breakfast. We had one of the best nights, couldn't reccomemd more!!

Maybe make a bigger sign at the entrance/parking. We had to ask for the way - even though we were right at the spot.

We stayed one night in one of those very cozy yurts! Everything was very well prepared for us. The breakfast is in a cooling Box - so you don’t need to show up somewhere at a special time - you can spend the whole time however you want completely alone at this very magical place up in the hills with a very beautiful mountain view. This was definetly one of the best accommodations I ever had! Thanks a lot for this experience!
