About this house rental
This is the house that others dream about! This architecturally designed, absolute beachfront home is located at the island's most coveted sandy swimming beach. With a feel of luxury beach chic, it has a modern kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, three spacious bedrooms, and inside and outside options for relaxing and dining.
Villa Macleay is a spacious and sprawling home located on Coondooroopa Drive, Macleay Island. Set on a stunning northerly aspect, Villa Macleay takes full advantage of the expansive views of Moreton Bay, crisp summer breezes, and warm winter sun.
We are located right beside Dalpura Park - the best sandy swimming beach on Macleay Island. From the deck, you look straight across to Coochiemudlo Island and view North Stradbroke island to the right and Redland Bay to the left. You can also see famous Peel Island on a clear day.
Villa Macleay is architecturally designed to showcase the casual, light and airy indoor and outdoor living areas that provide a retreat for the whole family. Featuring impressive hardwood timber floors and tiled bathrooms, each space has been carefully considered to maximise the home's livability and luxury.
You will spend most of your time on our expansive covered timber deck. Here, you can dine at our 8 seater table, relax on the sun lounges, or sit at the wraparound bar and enjoy a breakfast coffee or a sunset drink whilst you take in the bay views. Sunsets are spectacular!
Enjoy high tide waves lapping our garden wall, stroll out at low tide to hunt for soldier crabs. Go swimming, explore the mangroves on the complimentary surf skis or throw a line in to catch some delicious fresh bream. If you are an avid birdwatcher, look out for Kookaburras, Curlews, Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs, Pelicans, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos , and visiting seabirds from Siberia. If you're lucky, you'll even see Dolphins cruising through. View all this from the deck without even moving a muscle! For the more active, why not take a leisurely stroll up the road to Pat's Park. One of the highlights of the year is the very moving Anzac Day Dawn Service on April 25, held at Pat's Park.

1. A master bedroom featuring a king size bed, ensuite and walk-in robe

We visited the island to catch up with friends and explore the island. The Villa is in an amazing location; walk straight out the back gate and your feet are on the sand; a few more steps and you are in the water.
Villa is packed with everything that you could wish for to enjoy the location and view. An entertainer's delight.
Peaceful and quiet. Macleay Island is well worth the visit and a stay in this Villa is a MUST.
We will be back

The house was perfect. Such a pretty spot both in the day and especially at sunset. We weren’t even bothered by mossies! Plenty of room for the extended family to come together for meals and activities or to spread out and spend time in smaller groups or individually playing games, reading, eating and relaxing. We loved having the use of the surf skis and took several adventures on them. The property was easy to get to...the ferry service was efficient and professional. We took our bikes and found that there was a path beside the road all the way into town and beyond which was great for safe family riding. Sue was extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. She even went out of her way to help with sourcing some equipment we needed on the Island, which turned it to be perfect for us and we are very grateful. We hope to can back again for another holiday or ten.

Villa Macleay
What an amazing place to stay. The sunrises and sunsets were heavenly and the access to the beach was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the house was very well equipped with everything you need and felt like a home away from home. Pictures don't do it justice.
You will need a car if you plan on going to the grocery store.

Macleay Dream Holiday
This was our second stay at Villa Macleay and as before it is a great house that has everything you need for your holiday. Waking up to the water lapping at back fence and the sound of birds is so relaxing. Lots of things to do or just relax on the deck and watch the water. Sue and Peter are very friendly hosts who make sure all your needs are catered for. Will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location
We had a wonderful 5 nights in this house. It is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The location and easy access to the beach are amazing. The kids really enjoyed using the kayaks supplied, in the still water which is in view of the house. The house is beautifully maintained and has everything you need to self-cater. The house easily sleeps 9 as advertised. Macleay island itself is also well equipped, with a good supermarket at reasonable prices, and a few options of places to eat out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time away with 2 families together. We plan to return.

Amazing! Fantastic family holiday!
We had an amazing holiday at Villa Macleay. The house we perfectly situated in front of a quiet calm beach. It was perfect for the kids. There is a lot of sea life, sting rays, turtles swimming around. The villa has two kayaks that were great for further exploring.
The house itself was great for entertaining. We spent most of the time on the large deck looking out at the ocean.
Overall we had one of the best family holidays ever. It has everything to cater for kids and adults. I would highly recommend visiting and staying at the Villa.

Beautiful property & hosts
Exceptionally well stocked for a holiday home, could not have asked for anything more. From the sand bucket at the bottom of the steps to the coffee plunger in the kitchen EVERYTHING has been considered. Our hosts were on site to greet us and made us feel very welcome. The location is outstanding and encourages plenty of beach time at both high and low tide. The kids were stoked to have a go at the surf kayaks and have free access to the beach all day every day. The deck is unbeatable for an all day and everchanging view. And the outlook from the bedrooms upstairs is simply wonderful. Highly recommended accommodation choice 👍🏻

Villa Macleay is a stunning property in a unique beach side location. We can’t wait to visit again!
Our extended family hasn’t seen each other for some time and we chose Villa Macleay for our reunion.
We followed Sue’s easy instructions and caught the barge to the island. As we drove in to the property, it took our breath away! The place is immaculate and we barely left the deck over the next three days.
It was so wonderful to watch our two children chase soldier crabs on the beach and be safe and happy whilst we watched them from the deck.
The BBQ on the deck
