Holwell has a warm, calm and relaxing feel as soon as you enter. Sam was a great host and made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely each morning. I was able to use the yoga studio for my own practice and had a great 1:1 yoga session with Ella. I had a relaxing stay and would love to visit again.
Location is great if you have transport. I enjoy walking and running so fine for me but be mindful that if you don't, you'll need a taxi to eat out. The only other thing was that my room's toilet and shower were outside of the bedroom which was not much of a problem for me but I was worried about making noise in the middle of the night.

We enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful scenery surrounding the retreat. Spacious and clean room. Staff were very helpful and friendly, provided a fresh breakfast and warm atmosphere
Bad Wi-Fi (probably storm related)

a lovely quiet relaxing location, handy for the north Devon beaches and walks. we didn’t make use of the facilities but everything looked really well set up. it was a great base to explore the areas coastal walks. Sam was very knowledgeable of walks in the area, we particularly enjoyed parking up in mortehoe, walking along the coast path to morte point then on to bull point lighthouse. we spent the afternoon on Rockham beach along the way.
On another day we parked in lynton and walked up the river to the national trust cafe at watersmeet. A steady incline that made you work for your coffee, cake and ice cream.
there was nothing to dislike for us, it suited our needs perfectly.

beautiful location, quiet rooms and comfortable bed. excellent breakfast. I loved that it was isolated from everything, while still close to the coast and to Exmoor park.

Excellent breakfast and plenty of it . Amazing avocado & eggs the best 😊Kept us going all day . Really beautiful peaceful location.

The breakfast was delicious and the location was beautiful and near where my friends were staying.
My only problem is that I am allergic to geraniums so some alternative hand soap would have been helpful. This is a bit obscure so not really a criticism.

The location was perfect as had a wedding in the area. It was so peaceful at the property with a very relaxed vibe, Sam was so friendly and allowed you to come and go as you please. He made breakfast for us every morning and it was beautiful, if you wanted anything, nothing was a problem.
The room with garden view was beautiful with lovely views and so peaceful.
There’s not a lot you can do if didn’t have a car.
4.5
Breakfast was extremely delicious, we tried all the options and were very happy. Beautiful tranquil location with places to walk and different areas to hang out. Sam was extremely helpful with all questions and requests!
Single beds were quite small and could have been more comfortable. Definitely easier to get around with a car versus taxi.

nothing was too much trouble for Sam- he let us use the yoga hall, he prepared the sauna, we could choose to have breakfast at a time to suite

Sam was really kind and accommodating during our stay. Lovely looking rooms with super comfy beds. We had three rooms and each was unique. Food and coffee was really nice as were the cats we met during our stay!
Signal isn’t great but that’s easily fixed by enabling wifi calling on your phone

Quiet, nature, staff where OK
Shower had to use, they have put the bath under a low ceiling so had to shower on my knees.
Bit of a weird place, not quite my vibe.

The B&B was in a beautiful quiet location away from any other properties and surrounded by fields. The breakfast was lovely and served a la carte. Sam was a lovely host, pleasant and helpful. Adults only.
We were both unable to get ant any wifi throughout our stay which made it problematic planning trips for the next day without a map. The shower in the room was not working, we had a bath or were given the option to use a shower across the corridor.

Great breakfast. Nice selection to choose from. All cooked fresh to order.
Lovely yoga sessions available.
