Casa Moonlight Two is on Saddle Ridge at 8,000 feet above sea level between two of the most spectacular ski resorts in the West: Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin.
No other alpine ski area in the U.S. offers what the interconnected slopes of Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin do - extraordinary SKI - IN, SKI - OUT opportunities, among the highest vertical drops for groomed skiing in the U.S. (including hike-to terrain), world-class recreation year-round, and superb amenities and services.
Ski right out the back door and onto the Pony Express Run or direct to the Iron Horse Lift and you have access to over 5,250 lift-served acres of world-class alpine skiing.

Skiing and boarding are the main winter activities. There is ample lift serviced terrain in the 2 resorts, but if you feel the need to venture further, various back country options are available.
Summer activities in Big Sky fall into two main categories. Those organised by the resort, including Lone Peak Expeditions, Adventure Zip-line Tours, Climbing Walls etc and those to be found in the greater South West Montana area including Fishing and Rafting on the Gallatin, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Golf and of course all that Yellowstone Park ( nearest boundary - half an hour away) and West Yellowstone (just over an hour away) have to offer.
Casa Moonlight Two is a recently renovated log fronted three storey town house with a floor area of approximately 1,800 square feet in the Saddle Ridge development of the Moonlight Basin, Big Sky, commanding panoramic and unobstructed views of Lone Peak and the Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Ski Area
The new owners, who divide their time between Chile, Thailand and Montana, live in a nearby home and will personally manage your stay at Casa Moonlight throughout the ski season.

The ski in/out is as good as it gets with this place.

We really loved staying at this condo. Overall it was great! But...there were just to many little (and big) things wrong with the condo. From broken toilet flushing handles, to outlets not working, to the oven not working and a washing machine that had to be babysat! The kitchen was so poorly stocked and lacked proper baking dishes that made it a challenge to cook dinner for 6 adults. Was the owner quick to respond? Yes!! But for the cost of this condo I was disappointed in its poor appointments!!

The condo was perfect. Spacious, comfortable, and the location simply can’t be beat. Thanks for a great stay—can’t wait to come back!

Saddleback Ridge seemed to be the perfect location for us. We could ski from the top of Iron Horse to either mountain village or the madison area. The lift is 30 steps and a short downhill from Casa Moonlight 2 and the return is just as easy. The condo if very comfortable, clean with a spectacular view of the mountain and down the canyon. The hot tub was perfect after a long day skiing. We had a few minor technical issues (e.g., front door lock stopped working at -18), but William was very responsive and cleared the issues up quickly. I highly recommend this condo!

Been renting the same 2 units from William 4 years in a row now. Nothing bad to say. The location and accommodations keep bringing my ski group back. Awesome view and location.

Upon arrival the smoke detectors were blaring called the property manager, she said remove batteries. Never saw her. She never replaced them. Found multiple detectors in drawers and closets! Not safe. No dish soap! Pots and pans, cooking utensils not clean. Knobs sticky, cabinet doors falling off, Dishwasher barely worked and falling apart. Warm water out of refrigerator door. Spa quit working on the first day but was repaired. Could not adjust the heat in unit. Entrance bathroom door lock broken. Couldn't shut door. No hangers! Pillowcases not on pillows. Patio doors locking device was a closet rod! Not enough towels. No spa towels. Towels were very old and rough. Same as the few kitchen towels. Only four breakfast bowls, make sure you take turns eating! Coffee pot barely makes coffee. This place is in need of major repair. Things were just filthy, Grease on the kitchen ceiling, vents covered in dust. Blinds barely work. Light switches were dirty. The only positive, the unit had 2 water heaters, never had a problem during the cold snap! DON'T STAY HERE!

Moonlight Basin Wedding
This property was perfect for what we needed. The location was excellent, particularly in relation to the venue. The host was immediately responsive to the one query we had, and resolved the question completely. It was a beautiful location, and worked out excellently.

ski in/ski out
We enjoyed our stay! The location can't be beat! Beds were comfortable. Everything we needed in the condo.
The hot tub needs some service as only one set of jets works. Just letting you know so it can be looked at.

Casa Moonlight 2
Great location…..ski in/out.
Easy to get to lifts and come back for lunch.
Property needs a remodel though and many items are broken or showing their age.

Very Comfortable Condo
Nice condo. Unfortunately there was not enough snow and that part of the mountain was closed. That is the risk of early season rental.

Great place in Big Sky
My family and I went to Big Sky for the first time and had a wonderful time. The check in process was perfect. The views from the balcony are breathtaking, the grill was great to use cooking burgers/hot dogs in 20 degree weather lol. The hot tub was epic, really enjoyed sitting in it every night after a long day of skiing. Plenty of places to sleep, fully furnished kitchen. Another plus was having a washer/dryer present. Overall, a great place to stay, my 2 teenagers and wife truly loved our vacation. We will be back in the future.

Great Property, Cool Area
There were a few hiccups with the check in that required my daughter to stay in another place the first night (provided by property management) but overall a good experience. Very clean place, nice views and accommodations were exactly what we needed. The location is a great escape from the main town center but that was what we were looking for. The local red fox visited us at the hot tub every evening.

Summer 2021
Renting this property was smooth. Everything was as expected based on posting information. The manager communicated all necessary info via email and I was impressed that everything regarding check in such was key codes were accurate and ready for us to use. The place was lovely and accommodations beautiful. Would recommend.

Condo in Big Sky
Nice condo in Big Sky with nice mountain views. Private with separate levels for sleeping and living. Nice hot tub - we were summer visitors but looks like a great place to rent for ski season!

Perfect base for a Montana getaway
My teen boys and I loved the condo. It was perfect for the three of us. We each got our own bathroom! :)
The views of the trees and Lone Mountain are stunning. Felt at peace and relaxed. All of the amenities were there that we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, washer/dryer ext... The only thing I would add is a fan/ceiling fan for the upstairs room. It can get a little warm, but other than that, it was the perfect base for our fly fishing/Yellowstone exploring trip.

Spring Break skiing
This property was in a great location. The entry area was convenient for boots and ski gear. Plenty of hooks and storage. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking and even had some spices/oils. The amount and quality of bath towels provided was excellent. Beds are comfortable. My only negative comment is that the photographs show blinds over the windows in the upstairs bedroom that overlooks the living room and they are no longer there. It was hard to get the room dark enough without those there. Otherwise everything is great!

Great stay! Loved the location, access to the mountain, and the condo. I have to include a few items that I would recommend to improve. The main floor closet door handle and lock are installed backwards, awkward. Also, several of the light switches throughout the condo either do not work, or were difficult to figure out, like connected to an outlet that was not in use. The ice maker has a mind of it's own , if you leave it on it will randomly dispense ice onto the kitchen floor. Remember to reset the switch to water to stop it. These are not complaints, just recommendations. We had a great time staying at Casa Moonlight Two, and Greg did a fabulous job of supporting our stay. We will stay there again. Thank you.

True ski-in and ski-out
We loved waking up to the beautiful sunrise every morning! The private hot tub was awesome. We skied right out the back door each morning down to the Pony Express. We skied right back to the back door (with a little climb up a hill) every afternoon and for a couple of lunches too. Kitchen was very well stocked, even had a crock pot which was perfect for cooking while we were skiing. We will be back!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Moonlight on Saddle Ridge. The location was perfect, right next to the Iron Horse lift in Moonlight Basin. The condo was lovely, spacious, clean, and well prepared for our visit. The hot tub has a beautiful view of the mountain as well. We had a wonderful stay here and would gladly do so again. Thank you!

William treated us fairly
I had to check the rating stars in order get to submit this comment. We never got to the condo since Big Sky closed four days before our arrival date due to COVID-19. But William offered us three options after we were past the cancellation date. He treated us fairly under the circumstances.

Loved it again!
We have now stayed at both Casa Moonlight properties and find them both to be wonderful for a family of six for a fantastic ski getaway in Montana. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Week Long Ski trip with friends
William was extremely helpful from the minute we made our reservation until the end. He was available for all questions, responding immediately, and left thorough details and information for us to find everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Further, the unit was as good as advertised, very clean and well maintained. The location on the mountain is superb with the ability to ski right out to two separate lifts, and easy access to the rest of the big sky resort. The hot tub worked great and was kept well maintained and cleaned prior to our stay, I look forward to future returns to the casa moonlight and Big Sky Resort.

Great accommodation
Clean and tidy. Really can’t complain about obvious negatives. Like any condo, if you are going to cook bring most essentials.
But, like any condo I want more hooks!
Every bedroom should have a place to hang clothing. Nice toilet paper, haha.

Terrific place for a ski vacation
This is a very nice and well-furnished condominium. The views of the mountain are terrific. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the grill on the deck. The Iron Horse lift can be accessed by an easy 2 minute walk. Instructions were clear and the owner was very pleasant. I would (and will) definitely return!

Perfect for what we needed
Very clean, comfortable, accessible accommodations. Everything was in working order, and the accessibility to the mountain was superb. The road that led to the condominium is not at all well maintained - we slipped on ice several times in a 4x4 vehicle. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Everything you need for an exceptional Big Sky (Ski) vacation
We stayed at Casa Moonlight Two for a 12-day/11-night ski vacation and it was perfect. I won't repeat the long list of amenities, suffice it to say that it had everything we needed and everything was well-above expectations: from a gas fireplace that kept the common area toasty warm to uncommonly powerful shower heads supported by two large water heaters. The well-equipped kitchen even had a large cast iron skillet (no offense to my own motley kind, but I wouldn't leave a cast iron skillet to the care of renters).
There is a short walk to and from the slopes, but it's not particularly arduous. In fact, if you generate enough speed coming off of lower Powder River, there is enough snow and not much traffic, you can ski straight to the door!
Finally, whether it was another one of my dumb questions or a tiny maintenance issue, the communication with the owner (William) and/or the management company was effortless and expeditious.
In conclusion, we recommend both William and Casa Moonlight highly!

BIG SKY SKI VACATION
Condo comfortably houses 4-5 adults and several children. Amenities as described. Ski in, ski out great. Hot tub refreshing after a day of skiing. My only reservation is the Internet/ WiFi was alittle hinkey because shared. But complete disclosure, this was described by the owner beforehand.
