Close to the ocean and all downtown amenities. Gated community - very private, quiet and secure.
Loved the patio. We had most our meals there and lots of laughs. Kitchen was well equipped.

AC was down from day one. I called for someone to come fix it and the failed. They say maintenance person came to fix and solve the problem. But no they failed. AC breaker keeps shutting off. From day one until check out. NO AC! Very hot and uncomfortable place with no AC. Everyday I bugged them but they failed. Very poor communication. I wouldn’t recommend staying there. Parking was too tight and very dark.

Good location, quiet. Not having AC in 3rd bedroom made it unusable for sleep.

My family and I enjoyed the stay here. It's a long walk to town (~2 miles) but a quick drive.

We had a great stay during our time in Kona. It was such a short walk over to a public access beach did some tide pooling and also really close near Da poke shack which was delicious.
I would def recommend!

House was great for our family-good location in quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room and outdoor patio areas were great, even a yard. A/C much appreciated!

Best place we have stayed so far ANYwhere. Phenomenal fit for us. The location was excellent. The outside spaces are simply beautiful. I spent hours enjoying the meticulous landscaping, flowers and fruit trees which attract butterflies, birds and they even have a family of mongooses living right in the hedge. They visited me every day.

The place is amazing! This home is easy to to figure out; getting there and getting in, turning on lights and A/C, etc. The yard and patio is so inviting and restful. The fruit trees were not quite ready but watching the bananas grow over our stay was fun. I would stay here again, if the place is open/available.

Enjoy our stay at the house. Room for 4 adults and two kids to spend time together and enjoy the outdoor areas too. The kitchen was nice for family meals.
The location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. close to town, and highways for our extended trips to Hilo, the south and north shores. Enjoyed running the Ali’i road in the mornings with the sea breeze.

Great for a family!
We loved this home for our family
Of five! There’s a wonderful little beach which we found that was close to home 10 min away). About a 30 min walk to downtown part of Kailua. Property manager dealt with any issues we had right away. The outdoor patios were great!

The house itself was fine, although it lacked some basic essentials (dishwasher detergent, soap/shampoo, paper towels, ran out of laundry detergent after one load). Struggled with a dying TV remote the whole stay during nights. There are air conditioning wall units downstairs (living room/kitchen area) and upstairs in 2/3 bedrooms. The smallest bedroom with single mattress, where our young child stayed, had NO AC unit. So his room was sweltering unless we ran the AC 24/7 along with fans redirecting air into his room.
The real issue was my wife’s wedding rings stolen on our second day there. And it was NOT a break-in. Someone used the door code (which we found out later the First Island Realty property management company only changes QUARTERLY), and grabbed them off the kitchen counter. Nothing else was missing or even gone through. Unfortunately, my wife left them in plain sight as she does at home out of reflex, no thought of being stolen. One of the property mgt staff was in the house that day while we were at the beach to troubleshoot a cable/Netflix issue. We weren’t expecting him to come in while we were out, unannounced. He also turned down the AC, which we spent all night cooling our son’s room—so back to square one. It could have been anyone, as the code was last changed in April, but you know…
Filed a police report with the Kona police, had the door codes changed, but my wife and older daughter felt unsafe for the remainder of the stay. Personally, I wish I picked THE OTHER place I had been considering…

I was blown away about the cleanliness of this property. The location is perfect. It's only a 10-minute walk from the beach. The property is big enough to house 6 people in 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It is in excellent condition. I would definitely stay here again when we come back to visit Kona.

The property was safe yard had oranges and bananas for us to eat. Clean and two patios were wonderful as we had 6 adults and one baby in the house. We could play cards and party or relax privately when we needed alone time. Mark was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. You will not regret a moment if you rent this home.

This is a nice, spacious home with cute decor. The kitchen has most things you would need and a nice selection of spices. The house is off A'li Drive and about a mile and a half from magic sands beach. It is in a residential neighborhood, lots of trees, and there is a lot of bird life. We saw parrots, and a flock of waxbills comes to the yard every morning, along with a variety of other birds. The downsides are the house can get a little hot - especially the third bedroom, and the outdoor gear is not great. There should be a real cool box, not styrofoam, and the beach umbrella was sad. That said, we enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I stayed here with our two daughters (12 & 14) and her parents. There was plenty of room, and our girls said it was their favorite place they had stayed so far in Hawaii. The central location made it convenient for accessing sites all along the Kona coast.

Perfect house for the family.
The house was very clean and comfortable. The master bed was a sleep number, and there were flat screens in every room. Beautiful exterior and close to amenities in town.

Substandard cleaning service.
The house is situated on a quiet street with a gate access. I have asked for an early check in and we were allowed to check in at 1PM instead of 3pm, but the house was not cleaned. I have called the office to get it remediated. The cleaning lady showed up around 1:30PM and as she was cleaning the house we noticed that she did not change the linen but simply "made the bed". When we asked her about getting the linen changed she stated that she "was not told to do it." She left around 3:20PM and left a dryer full of wet towels. All the linen and pillows were filthy and smelly, clearly not washed or changed for weeks! I had to call the office again to get this resolved. Ended up spending the rest of the day shopping for new linen and pillows (which was only partially refunded to us) and making our beds (hardly an expected start to our vacation). Our cleaning fee was refunded and we were allowed a late check out on the last day. Overall I do not recommend staying in this house as you risk sleeping in a dirty bed unless you are ready to do all the work yourself upon arrival (small dryer and washer are not up to the task).

Comfortable and convenient for Ali'i Drive attractions
The property was comfortable for our family of 5 adults and 2 children. Finding the property was a little tricky, as the street off from Ali'i Drive did not have a noticeable street sign. But once we found the street, things went smoothly. We appreciated being able to connect to WIFI, but could not figure out how to play a DVD (there were a number of DVDs available). The location is very good: easy to find a beach for snorkeling, close to restaurants on Ali'i Drive, and a good starting point for many sight-seeing adventures. The property is low-key, nothing flashy, but comfortable -- and quiet. Good choice for a family vacation.

Clean, new, rental
Very nice property. Relatively new construction with nice furniture, bathrooms, and kitchen. No view of beach or water(but that didn't really matter to us since we left early and came back late). The place is quiet and serine. Somewhat difficult to find and get to. A gate was locked so my wife had to find another route.

Beautiful stay
The only reason I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 is because when we arrived the downstairs bathroom had been used, the evidence was left in the toilet and the TV in the living room works but, theres something wrong with the screen and the cable was not working downstairs. The TV wasn't a huge deal so we didn't contact anyone for it because there was really only maybe 2 days where we had some down time at the house so we just used our netflix account on the tv. It took us a minute to figure out the AC system but the house was lovely. The bed in the master bedroom is super comfy, its a sleep number bed so you can adjust it which was great. The location was perfect, safe, quiet street, and not a far drive at all to a beach and restaurants.

great location!
We had a great stay! The house is super clean, and comfortable. The only complaint is that the communication wasn't very accurate. The bicycle is rusted, and has two flat tires. There is a closet full of snorkel and rafts, which isn't mentioned, and when I inquired, I was told to bring/rent my own. I could have saved a lot of money, since I had to rent for 7 people. Also, there are no condiments and outdated spices. Besides that, great location, close to the beaches and downtown!

Nice and clean, well appointed and decorated
Seven of us stayed for five nights in mid July and the place worked out well. Lots of amenities that we used including some of the snorkeling equipment and the boogie boards. There were folding chairs for the beach along with a small foam cooler, beach mats, a couple of pairs of surf shoes and a variety of sizes of snorkel fins. Inside the house the kitchen had a lot of storage containers, a spice rack, and cooking utensils. AC was nice to have, we had a bit of a heat wave while we were there. There's no sofa sleeper any more, but there is a nice inflatable queen bed that I preferred anyway. The Internet stopped working but once we pressed the recessed reset button on the back of the modem, it was good. When I booked, the listing said it was a 5500 sf house, but that is the lot size. The house is about 1319 sf according to zillow, (but zillow says it's 3 bath when it's really 2 1/2) but it was enough space for us. Hopefully the listing will be corrected soon if not already. Overall a great experience!

The Perfect Home away from Home
Aloha,
This was our first real vacation in 18 years, and our first ever trip to Kona-Kailua Hawaii. When we arrived at this beautiful home in a gated community, it instantly felt like the perfect vacation home away from home. All the amenities one needs on a day to day, plus this place has A/C. It was clean, eloquently decorated. Minutes away from beach access, close to town and shopping, and not far from all the amazing boat tours at the Marina. So much outdoor recreation to do, amazing places to dine and lots of different aspects of the Island to explore. I'm officially hooked on Hawaii and will be back to stay at this lovely home on our next vacation there.

Beautiful home...and still feel like a local!
Four of us came to experience the Big Island for the first time, and if possible we'll book this same home again. VERY close to great beach access...two blocks off of Ali'i drive (the main drag in town), nice amenities such as cable, wifi, laundry and a fully stocked kitchen. TWO full baths to get the crew up and ready early...plenty of parking. So much better than the 'hotel/condo' experience. We really felt close to everything and connected to Hawaii in a way that the 'corporate landscaping' experiences of the resorts just cannot match. We came home after 11 days but left our hearts in Kona. We will be back, and this house is the perfect base of operations.
