Happy house

Accommodation was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was functional with lots of hot water. Breakfast was very tasty.

Had to ask for more coffee and tea with breakfast. Would be better to leave a pot of each on the table. But the food made up for that minor detail.

Fabulous B+B

Beautiful accommodation, rooms were spotless and very thoughtfully decorated. Beds were really comfy and cosy. Breakfast was delicious and Carla was so attentive making sure we had everything we needed. Freshly baked homemade muffins and a cup of tea on arrival was such a welcoming gesture. Carla and Harman are fantastic hosts, they made us very welcome and looked after us marvellously. Would highly recommend Madra Rua.

Great place and the owners are super nice and helpful. I would stay there again.

Breakfast was delicious and healthy

I would have preferred a top sheet and blanket rather than just a integrated comforter top. I know a lot of hotels are doing this as well but to me it doesnt give me the option of removing the comforter if I get hot.

The house was extremely quaint and artfully decorated by its proprietress . A very peaceful place to stay with comfortable accommodations very much appreciated after a long day of viewing the sights of beautiful Donegal.

I'm sure we will stay again as it really was very good value and on the Inishowen Peninsular.

Its always nice to be somewhere so warm and welcoming.

Disabled access was difficult as the accommodation is on the first floor and there were stairs to accommodate.

Superb

Clara and Herman were so so lovely, warm and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It felt like staying with relatives, all your home comforts but with the space and privacy of a high-end B&B. They have got the balance just right. The bed was so luxurious with organic cotton sheets that were like butter and provided the best sleep of my life! The breakfast was cooked to perfection one day I had poached eggs (at request) and the next I had the Spanish tortilla breakfast which is Clara's speciality it was delicious. Clara even made my little one Muffins which were divine. Overall I can't fault it, the nicest, cleanest most thoughtful B &B I have ever stayed at. Wonderful like the hosts. Thank you both

We loved every minute of our stay in Madra Rua, the hosts really made our stay, they’re fantastic.

The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and attentive, and made our stay extra special! The food was delicious, we both had a Spanish omelette and it was perfect. We had a beautiful comfortable room. We will definitely be back!

Everything relating to our stay was perfect, there was nothing that we didn’t enjoy.

The owners who were super friendly and also the nice touches they had infused the property with. Great views too from the first floor rooms.

Quiet, clean and comfortable

Very quiet location and the accommodation was spotless. The hosts were very friendly. There were lots of toiletries to choose from. The breakfast was excellent. The house seems new and solidly constructed so no squeaky floors. The shower, though small had great pressure, was easy to operate and had a choice of soaps. The bed was very comfortable.
