The view on the ocean is unbeatable. A perfect place to stay in the area. We loved absolutely everything, tasty ice-creams included. Additionaly, the place is pet friendly, so we could take our animal companion.
Only the fridges humming is a bit annoying for light-sleepers.

Fabulous location. Stunning view from the lounge window. Spotlessly clean. Very comfy sofas and beds. Great shower. Very dog friendly- beds, bowls, towels and throws for the sofa.
Nothing- we had a fabulous stay
4.8
Amazing location and a stunning property conveniently located above Cadwalders ice-cream shop
Not enough toilet roll for the duration of the stay and nothing to allow us to wash the dishes. Easily purchased but should be available

The apartment had the most amazing sea view, was spotlessly clean, very spacious and well thought out with quality fixtures and fittings, it had an extremely comfortable bed. It was very well equipped, home from home .
couldn't fault it.

Lovely apartment with amazing sea view. Comfortable beds, very clean and caters very well for our dogs. The only downside was you have to take the dogs to the farside beach by Dylans. Cadwaladers was great for breakfast too.
A lot of stairs not good for our arthritic dogs.

stunning view, our 4th stay, fully equipped, immaculately clean

The iris is a fantastic property . The views are absolutely amazing. Its next to the beach. Above the Cadwaladers and across from the fish and chip shop. What more could you want 😂 Parking is plentiful.
There isn’t any negatives.

All rooms decorated to a high standard. Comfortable furniture. Amazing location and view.
Nothing comes to mind.

The view was fantastic, checking in was clear, the accommodation was very clean comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing views-regardless of the weather, you can sit and watch the amazing view of the sea/beach/castle/hills, clean and comfortable apartment with good cooking facilities, we only used 1 of the bedrooms, but a good size if accommodating 4 people. The shower was lovely and nice that there were some toiletries and toilet roll provided. Easy to gain entry and lovely being above the ice cream shop which we frequented a lot during our stay! Very doggy friendly also and dog bowls and bed provided was very nice. Dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid and cloth all provided which is great as these are the things that get forgotten when coming on a self catering holiday! Great stair gates.
I couldn't find a whisk or a sieve-although I may just not have looked in the right place and some of the blinds were difficult to get to lift due to a broken cord in the kitchen and the blind in the bedroom being very heavy, as with most holiday apartments the kitchen knives needed a bit of a sharpen, the tin opener seemed a bit temperamental and the door mat at the entrance to the property really needs updating-this is shared with the ice cream shop, so appreciate that it will mainly be the shop making it dirty, but it is due a change as it is worn out and very dirty and not terribly effective to clean feet on the way in!

The view, comfortable seating and comfortable beds. The special touch was the warm welcome for the dog. Doggie bed, throws for settee and bowls.
Occasional banging doors from business downstairs.

The view is amazing, very comfortable stay. Beds, sofas all very comfortable. lovely and clean, everything you need is provided.
had elderly parents who struggled a bit with the stairs but wouldn’t put us off booking again.

The apartment was just fabulous. The views over the bay were amazing. Great location for getting to Zipwire & Snowdon. Ice cream shop below was the best, it had a new waiter & he was brilliant for just having started, an asset to the business
Didnt stay long enough.

beautiful location with stunning views ,
nothing really - just above the ice cream shop so shared entrance past toilet was the only very minor issue and too much Ice cream😂

Fab location and spotlessly clean

Amazing wonderful time we have out there.
We will miss an amazing time full of beautiful moments.

I think as everyone who has previously stayed at the Iris has probably already mentioned, the view from the lounge window is beautiful, a forever changing picture.
The accommodation was fantastic, clean, comfortable and everything had been thought off with regards to making the place feel like a home from home.
We had a lovely stay Thank You
The Stairs up to the accommodation would probably be daunting if you have mobility challenges, I have not long ago had a replacement knee and just kept reminding myself that it would be worth it when I got to the top.
The Parking was a bit problematic but you just have to keep going round and round until hopefully a space becomes available on the near by streets but for loading or unloading for a short time parked outside Cadwallader's ice cream shop below does not hurt.

Spotlessly clean, modern, the most peaceful view and great location.

fantastic spacious 2 bed apartment. great location and an amazing view from upstairs

The view was beautiful, a lot of thought had gone into making the stay comfortable, we had a lovely break there!

All the details of codes and instructions for access were emailed to me prior to arrival and it was all very simple.

Location and views were wonderful, the welcome package was lovely and all facilities were available, such as washing machines, dryers, hair dryers, microwave, fridge, freezer, information pack for visiting places, two dog beds, the list goes on. Oh and the king size beds were nice too
Only one thing, because we were over the ice cream shop, we could here what I presume were the fridges / freezers keeping the ice cream cold, it was like fans from an air conditioning. But I am a light sleeper, the wife was fine.

Great location
Lovely apartment, comfy beds. Thoughtful bits and pieces - washing powder, dog beds, milk etc. Great! 20% off the Calawaders Store below!

The Iris has a wow factor as soon as you park up opposite. It sits above an Ice Cream shop evoking childhood memories of Enid Blyton stories, in a street of eclectic cottages that appear to tumble down to the sea. To your right, and visible once inside rises the majestic Criccieth Castle, which you simply have to witness lit from the beach at night. Cricceth will steal your heart if you let it, and the Iris will assist it. I have attached just a couple of pictures I took this Christmas, none of which will do it justice.
On a more practical basis, the bedrooms are huge, the sitting room is comfortable, and it has the most well equipped kitchen I have ever found in a rental, down to a Slow cooker!
Towels for EVERYTHING, and any Dog would think they were in paradise.
Well done The Iris.
There was nothing to dislike, but we deduced 1 point as a few things were not perfect. It was very cold when we arrived as the heating was on a timer, this was quickly rectified when we asked in the shop.
One wine glass broke as we removed it from the cupboard, and the microwave had been missed of the cleaning list despite the extra cleaning charge. Sadly, though there was milk in the fridge, the promised specialty teas and coffee jars were empty :-(.
We stayed over Christmas and the shop below was closed on the 25th, but for those light sleepers like myself, and noted in previous feedback you can hear the chillers, staff and deliveries very easily in the bedrooms as they are directly above the ice cream chillers, and the staff office is directly outside your door.
We had some wonderful pancakes and hot chocolate in the shop on Boxing Day, but using the 20% discount proved a little eventful!!
So, one point off, and I’d have probably made it a half if I could :-).

We were in awe of the Iris from the moment we stepped through the door. It is clearly cared for and looked after to a very high standard. The view left us speechless, the property itself is spacious and felt like home within a matter of minutes. A cosy living room, fantastic kitchen and brilliant bedrooms. We brought our giant breed dog with us, something that could have been stressful but was never that, she enjoyed the trip even more than we did! A flawless property we can’t wait to visit again in the near future!

Superb facilities. Clean and tidy. Fantastic views. Efficient and friendly staff. Perfect location for trips within Snowdonia.
Parking was ok but no assigned parking space.

Amazing views, very clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment. The position is excellent there is no parking in front of the property but we had no problems getting a spot less than 100m away.
We are light sleepers and the hum from the fridges in the cafe below was very loud and insistent.

Quite simply the view from the lounge window with the absolute bonus sightings of dolphins on our first evening!
The apartment had everything we needed and more…simply outstanding!
Nothing.

Lovely setting spacious very clean and comfortable beds
Only minus had to go up 3 flights of stairs to lounge I had recently had fall at home and had to be supervised on stairs - would have been better with rail near bottom of stairs to lounge but did not detract from holiday and it is only temporary.
Above remarks about stairs

Home from home, everything you will ever need. Exceptional views, ultra modern, free coffee milk on arrival in the fridge, clean accommodation, comfortable beds, loads of towels, washing machine, tumble dryer. 20% off Cadwaladers shop below. Fish and chip shop over the road with the longest queues I’ve ever seen. Parking on the road opposite the front of the apartment.
Not a criticism just a note.. Bedrooms face onto the main road above Cadwaladers who get deliveries at 7am min to Friday. Cadwaladers are open till 9pm and the loo’s/store rooms are in use constantly. You hear the doors below banging quite a bit but it’s no big deal.
