Absolutely wonderful stay, clean and our meals were awesome !

It reminded me of a traditional Inn. Great feel and a great team. Everyone was absolutely delightful but Sam and Tina really made our stay special.

A hidden gem.

We had a fantastic 2 night break, lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you, Clean comfortable room, and the food in the restaurant was fantastic and reasonably priced..

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Monkey Brewhouse. The team were really lovely and great to sort a table for us to eat and enjoy the evening with drinks. We didn't know when booking but there was an open mic night on later in the evening which was led by Phil and Oli (apologies if I have their names wrong!!) who were brilliant. The food was really delicious! We really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. Our room was spotless and comfy and the ensuite bathroom was superb. Lovely thoughtful touches. The room was by the main road but that did not bother us or stop us having a good nights sleep. Would recommend and will be looking to book again in future!

A really around accommodating yes we would definitely return

Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff.Our room was very comfortable and a comfortable bed.Bathroom was a good size with a good hot shower.Plenty of choice on the menu and a lovely cooked breakfast

The only thing you can dislike is the traffic noise but you know about this when you book so it wasn’t a problem

Delightful staff, breakfast, evening meal and premises, comfortable room with adequate toiletries. Excellent location for us as we enjoy a walk.

The overnight noise associated with the premises being a brewey, meant someone who doesn’t sleep well hardly slept at all!

Suited my needs.

Overall it was good. . Brilliant Bathroom, newly refitted. Lovely walk in shower. Room was a little small, but it was only me using it. Evening meal was good and breakfast was good too.

The bed was too hard for my liking and the position on the main road meant it was noisy. But that is just something I am not used to and didn't think about when I booked

Door underneath our room kept banging all afternoon and until pub shut at night Could not face another day of the banging so left

Amazing and relaxing.

Everything was great, the staff we fantastic and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. Mor than exceeded our expectations.

very noisy at night, there were constantly doors slamming until around 11pm not sure if this was the kitchen, our room was above.

Exceptional

Lovely size room and bathroom was lovely. Shower was wonderful. Really comfortable bed and nice to have tea making facilities and water provided. Didn't expect breakfast to be included in the price so that was a nice surprise. Breakfast was delicious and surprised by the choices of cereal etc given was only us eating breakfast. Beautifully presented.

friendly and welcoming with excellent hospitality

the pub is very welcoming and has a really good atmosphere. the food and drink was excellent and as a solo traveller I was made to feel comfortable and was very well looked after.

the room was well equipped and comfortable. the room could have felt cosier if the radiator in the room had been working. the radiator in the bathroom was fine.

Overall very good!

Staff were lovely, bed comfy, room clean, modern shower room. Full English breakfast excellent (and great coffee!), room clean. Nice touches such as bottles of local spring water in room. Quirky decor downstairs in the pub with a monkey theme. I gave a couple of suggestions to improve the guest experience and the manager was happy to take them onboard.

Traffic noise could be an issue for some people as on a busy main road, not their problem I know, due to their location. I personally found it quite loud in the evening and early morning, but it quietened down enough at night so that I was able to sleep. (The windows in that room are an older style and not double-glazed). That is the main reason for giving an overall 8 out of 10 rather than higher and a slightly lower score on the 'comfort' section!
