Perfect location and lovely hotel

Lovely boutique hotel, great attention to detail in rooms and communal areas. Lots of choice for breakfast and the portions are huge!

-Freundliches Personal -Früherer Check-In war gar kein Problem -Frühstück a la Carte völlig in Ordnung -Mitten im Geschehen -Großartige Dachterrasse -Zimmer groß

-Fenster leider zum Innenhof mit wenig frischer Luft und durch andere Hotelgäste einsehbar -Kaum Tageslicht -Kissen nicht besonders ideal

Great location and comfortable stay

The hotel was open all night so we were able to check in late. They staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean. There is a nice rooftop to look out from.

The bathroom was a bit cozy. The breakfast was provided through the restaurant connected to the hotel. They had a lot of options but feel a little short on delivering a tasty meal for our liking.

Fantastic location, spacious and comfortable.

Hotel staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to provide information and guidance on where to go. The attached restaurant evening meals were excellent. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Location for tourists was perfect!

We didn’t like the sewerage gas stench that we would get at times in the room. The attached restaurant doesn’t know how to cook toast, their breakfasts weren’t that great.

Breakfast wasn’t bad

The rooms don’t look like the pictures FYI. The staff are friendly but largely unhelpful. Construction they were doing to the hotel next to our room woke us up pretty much every day.

Awesome location.

The location was awesome, breakfast was lovely, room was a great size and really comfy.

The drain in the bathroom smelt and the AC failed one night which made one of the sleeps uncomfortable.

Exceptional, much more than a hotel

Amazing customer service we arrived a day late tired frustrated and without luggage . The manager (Kol)instantly recognised our situation placed us in a room on our own to ensure peace and quiet organised dinner and directed us to a store close by for clothing for the next day. The next day Manager ,(Sylvie) organised great tour for us and negotiated and followed up on our lost luggage which was sent to the hotel that evening. The rooms are finished to a high standard abd the location is exceptional

Great spot in the heart of Valletta.

The Cumberland hotel is very well located in the heart of Valletta, close to all the attractions and restaurants. The staff are very attentive and unobtrusive. They are there when you need them.

Awesome little boutique hotel in heart of Valletta, excellent base for exploring Malta!

Amazing experience, with very attentive staff, consistent service and friendly all around. The front desk staff, including front desk manager Sunny, were attentive every single day, making sure our stay and needs were accommodated. The location was amazing in the heart of Valletta -- also, with MCP parking garage just a few hundred metres away, the hotel was the perfect location to explore all that Malta had to offer. We stayed for a full week, and by the end, felt so at home and at ease, it was hard to leave. Thanks to all the staff we interacted with day in and day out, but especially would like to note Sunny, Ovi and Pabel for making our stay special

With such wonderful staff, manager and location, we wouldn't choose any other hotel in the area.

Fantastic room with a terrace on the top floor. Despite the fact that breakfast is not a buffet, there were plenty combinations to choose from and it was always delicious. We even dined at the hotel. The food was great. The staff was wonderful, courteous and so helpful. The manager went an extra mile for us.

We are an older couple. We found the mattress a bit hard for our old backs.

Wellnlocated boutique hotel with excellent restaurant

The room was very comfortable and the location in the old town is great for exploring. we also loved the restaurant with served breakfast and we had a great dinner there. The rooftop was nice for a drink in the evening.

Accessibility is a bit of an issue if you have large bags or mobility issues. Taxi’s are able to get to the end of the street but the town is steep and hilly in area including the street of the hotel.

Not what we booked and very noisy

Breakfast ok, location in the city centre

Booked a room with inner-courtyard view hoping for some calm but got a room on the first floor right above reception with street view. Noise was everywhere (reception phone, reception talk, entrance door, music from bars outside, people talking or singing in the street, guests passing in the corridor…). We were just told by the staff that there was no other room available and that’s it. Moreover, smart tv with streaming service was announced but not there.

Superb

This boutique hotel is charming and location is perfect. The rooms are very spacious, bed is comfortable and the shower has good pressure and very hot water. The staff is very professional. Breakfast is good, it could be better, but fair enough for the price. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff could not have been nicer I’d like to thank Noble in particular. Location wonderful in the heart of Valletta. Room large and bright well appointed. Breakfast served instead of usual buffet, with a large choice on the menu.

I’m old and found the shower floor a bit slippery. I could have done with a grab bar.

Good location and facilities

Room is spacious and clean, very well equipped with coffee maker, hairdryer and for ironing. I liked complimentary water, tea and coffee in the room each day. Location is excellent. Ladies who clean are friendly and dedicated to their work.

Staff at the reception are confused (some of them probably due to modest English knowledge and they mix the term preauthorization and payment). The same holds for those working at breakfast. I have lactose intolerance and twice times they made a mistake in my meal due to poor English knowledge. Also, the breakfast could be more various.

Great location in the centre of Valletta. Very large room with all mod cons. Great design. Good quality breakfast in nice surroundings.

Very hard beds Description of room misleading. It is not a suite. It is a very large room with the standard hotel room set up of a desk and one chair. No suite area for 2 to sit in.

Clean and good size room. Location right in the middle of city. Breakfast had plenty of a´la cart choices.

No view, not even from the balcony. You could hear in the room all the noises from hallway.

FABULOUS

Fabulous location and amenities, even though people should now that most rooms come with an internal window looking on the inside of the building which can be a bit claustrophobic, but other than that all was great. It actually worked out for the best as we went during the carnival which was extremely noisy, so it was very quiet inside the room, which was great! Great breakfast and of course couldnt say enough for the amazing professional service we had by all of the employees there, especially Davide who had a solution to practically everything we requested and assisted in everything possible, by recommending restaurants and giving us all sort of information. Employees like him are what makes a hotel really stand out. We will visit again without a doubt!! thank you.

On my room no price-list was found regarding mini-bar products so i didnt appreciate the fact that they charged my collegue for a pack of chips.
