The location is ideal for hiking excursions with or without your dog(s). Also, it is perfectly located when coming France and travelling to Spain or the other way around. The hotel is one of the last house in a dead end road, which leads to a green area to walk your dogs or to start some hiking trips or both. The view on the terrace is nice as well and the person we spoke to at reception was nice and helpful.
The dining experience at this three-star hotel left much to be desired. Both breakfast and dinner lacked variety and freshness, with the use of machine-made orange juice and filter coffee being disappointing. Dinner was particularly disappointing, with the absence of vegetables accompanying the main course and an overuse of sauces masking the flavors of the meat and potatoes. The quality of the meals resembled that of institutional food found in care homes or hospitals.
Another notable disappointment was the behavior of the staff. Whether at breakfast, dinner, or the bar, the staff's behaviours was simply rude.

Nice appointed rooms, some facing the entrance , others the mountain. Really comfortable and wide beds, nice sleep and quiet . The breakfast was quite plentiful and well stocked.

the location
The spa was less than expected

Good bedroom. Lots of space in bedroom and decent size bathroom.
Menu in restaurant for dinner was very good.
Food at dinner could have been served hotter.
Breakfast was disappointing we went at 0900 and lots of the choices were finished. There appeared to be a coach trip in before us. Same cost for much less choice. No warning to get to the restaurant early.
A shame really as we like this hotel.

The hotel had re-opened the day we arrived. It was perfect for a one night stay and in a very good location
The spa was small and you had to pay for a 30 minute session

The area, staff were friendly and hotel clean
No tea making facilities single bed too small.

Breakfast was good, the restaurant area is set up early and has everything you'd want (cold meats, fresh fruit, hot scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, bread, etc & as much coffee/tea as you wish). The walks from the hotel are, as always, spectacular. You can go for a short walk or go hiking all day. My dog and I love this hotel for the location. It's not in Canfranc itself, it's a just a bit further up the road. There are various scenic walking routes to the station but it's up hill on the way back... :-)
From a dog owner point of view, it would be nice if there was an area inside that I could sit with my dog and eat. If you have a dog you have to either leave them in the room or eat outside. The outside terrace is fabulous, so not really a problem, but on a cold night being able to sit inside would be super.

Great location, great hotel with spa and many many rooms to relax in, especially with kids it is great - there's a kids play room as well. Food was great, even the mojitos were very well done too, sometimes hard to find in a hotel bar. Loved it. Will return
That we only booked 4 days !

It was just lovely....

Excellent, from start to finish. very warm welcome, lovely staff in reception, bar and restaurant. Good facilities, excellent food, dog friendly in a picturesque location. Cannot fault anything.
The only road from the property was closed for a cycle race from 8am for 2 hours and we were unable to leave until 10:30. Also the main road to France from there was closed until 12 noon. This seriously affected our onward travel plans. Unfortunately we weren’t told of this is advance. The hotel has apologized for this and it would not stop us staying there again as it was a wonderful stay.

Location
Thin walls in room. Could hear man next door vomiting in the night like he was in our bed!

Our stay was very nice, staff very friendly, food excellent, the only down part was the Spa and leisure facilities were closed as their was a wedding the following day which we had not been advised of. Would recommend to all.

We stayed at this hotel to visit Camfranc station after crossing the border from France. The staff were absolutely lovely, speaking English was a bonus after trying to communicate with some of the French. The room was very spacious with a patio to an outside lawn. Parking was exactly how it was stated, on site. We didn’t use the casino but did have a drink in there before retiring. We would stay there again.
I wasn’t keen on the restaurant food but that could just have been my taste.

We enjoyed a very good evening meal. A very different menu choice and all was very tasty and decent value for money.
Pool was closed during the times we could have used it. Late afternoon and early morning.

The hotel is in a great location for skiing and hiking, and close to the historic Canfranc station
There seemed to be no negatives at all.

Location. I wanted to cycle Puerto de Somport from both Spain and France and the hotel was the right location.
It had an strong and somewhat unpleasant smell. Slept with window open as a result.

Off the busy towns in the mountains and valley, perfectly hidden, beautiful views, outdoor/ indoor terrace, mountains, swimming pool, comfy clean rooms, perfect food, nice staff I am certainly coming again! Great place for hikes or just chill in amazing nature.
