I am so glad I found this hotel. I was not expecting anything as wonderful so was pleasantly surprised. It makes all the difference to a stay when every one of the staff are helpful and friendly. It was my birthday and I was kindly upgraded to a wonderful room and it really did make me very happy. The place is immaculate and well looked after and the grounds are incredible. Thanks so much!

The most gorgeous manor house, elegant yet comfortable and so full of history and beauty. All of the staff clearly loved their jobs and the house.
Our tiny room on the top floor

Fabulous building, beautiful and historic. Wonderful gardens, a real delight and superb outdoor heated swimming pool. Huge incredible room (once we’d got an issue with the size of the bed we’d booked sorted out, thank you Reception). Good food and lovely staff, especially James in the Grill Restaurant and our Barman (sorry didn’t read his name) serving by the Moat seated area.
The Airplanes re Heathrow, but it didn’t really spoil anything.

Stunning building and grounds, a real house steeped in history.
Our room had an issue with the central heating radiator and it would turn off, we stayed during a weekend when the weather was 30 deg +.
The Grill restaurant staff service pathetic and extremely rude, food was poor and incorrectly cooked. We was met with confrontational abuse by one team member when trying to agree something complementary due to the horror show.
My wife was also singled out in a group setting as the reason why our food was late, this was due to her being celiac and requiring a gluten free alternative.

The place is exceptional, very beautiful, high level of service.
I would like to thank mainly Komar, the hotel and reception manager for his great assistance and support whenever needed.
Close to the airport, flights noise sometimes interferes - still, the place and service are value for money

The room was lovely. In a new building and had plenty of space and air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great.
Breakfast was very disappointing. We were told that it was a buffet when we arrived. Many things were missing and not replaced while we were there. We had to ask for toast. There was no selection of jams or honey - just some clear red jam in a little glass bowl. Who knows what it was. After we had finished eating we saw other tables had ordered eggs and eggs Benedict. This wasn‘t offered to us at all.
The other issue for us old folks was that there was no telephone in the room. Just a tablet with a QR code - no instructions on how to use it to contact the front desk or room service. In fact we used it to order a bottle of wine, got a confirmation of the order, but the wine never showed up. We weren‘t billed for it so obviously we did something wrong!

The hotel’s gardens and history were magical. The staff were very attentive.
The breakfast was poor. There was no menu to order breakfast apart from the buffet, that was not great. The quality of the eggs etc was not the best. To order coffee was difficult and it finally arrived after we had finished eating.

Exceptional service

Very attentive service from the minute you walk into the hotel reception. Someone escorts you to your room and even offers to carry your bags.
Breakfast - It was by far one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had in a long time. Felt like it was cooked to order rather than pre cooked and kept warm. Amazing to see in this current period.
Courtyard could do with better lighting when travelling back to your room at night. Ground is uneven and I'd imagine presents a risk to someone who is not so firm on their feet?

Standard of cuisine and service in Tudor Pass restaurant was superb. We booked for this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we’re not disappointed
We were disappointed that our room did not have a bath as my partner was looking forward to a relaxing “soak” that afternoon. I should probably have checked when originally booking but all our previous stays had incorporated a bath.
Service in the restaurant for breakfast was very slow. I think staff may have forgotten about us as other guests who arrived after us were served quite quickly.

the actual house was lovely
1. booked as we were informed that the hotel had a shuttle. it didn’t.
2. we wrote to the hotel asking for information on a dinner reservation and the shuttle (no response) although upon checkin was told by the hotel manager that he has seen our messages
3. phoned 3 times and no one picked up the phone
4. we were attracted by the pictures on their website. the room and bed were mediocre for the price. small room, uncomfortable bed, cupboards in bathroom were broken.
5. couldn’t turn heating off in the bedroom
6. were told we could have a plate of left overs at 9.30 pm once the main New Year’s Eve party were done

location
the room was not as promised. we booked 23m2 room and we only got 12m2. the pictures are not even close to how the room looked. the restaurant was closed for the event so there was no option to have a dinner and we were not told about this in advance. the swimming pool was dirty and cold.

amazing place the hotel was stunning , the building , the gardens .. wished we could have spent more time here
the rooms were extremely comfortable and the staff were very accommodating
we loved our stay and hope that we can come back to stay sometime in the future
only issue was that as in house guests we could not get a walk in table at the restaurant as it was full

the place is very cool. very historic and interesting. gardens are gorgeous and with train strike it was good to have it close to airport
the service was terrible. we had to ask for soap to be brought to our room many times because there was no soap in the bathroom. finally I went to front desk and waited for them to give some to me.
bar and restaurant teams were overwhelmed. it was not their fault, just no help. they were nice but just slow and overwhelmed.
also, we booked dinner and then when we came to sit down, the staff told us how much time we had before they needed the table. it wasn’t like they squeezed us in, we booked it. not appropriate to put pressure on us to eat. we had enough time but weird to tell us this when it was pre booked earlier in the day.

stunning property but totally disappointed.
Out room had not been cleaned properly. The staff were terrible! Totally unhelpful.Supposed to be a luxury 4 star hotel yet staff were scruffy, some even wore jeans, seemed untrained and we were overcharged massively. When we gave feedback at checkout we just got a ‘sob’ story about how the rail strikes had affected staff and their bookings! So much more I could say but does anyone really listen and/or take note?

This hotel is so quaint and charming in the country. We stayed while taking our daughter to Royal Holloway University and the the location was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and the staff lovely.
I did feel the room could have been cleaner. In general - the room just seemed dusty and stale - not unclean, just as if it had not been cleaned recently.

Exceptional atmosphere in a classy setting in one of the most beautiful small villages in Europe. The gourmet dinner we well worth the price and was a true experience worth sharing. The grounds were beautiful and the golf course, while overall an average course, did have 4 amazing and memorable holes. Definitely worth playing if you have the time and don't mind the cost.
Rooms were up one or two sets of stairs, which fortunately the two couples were still able to navigate. However, in future, being seniors, I would suggest any other seniors request rooms on first level, which I believe exist. There was no elevator. But the staff was available to help with our luggage.

Stunning property! This is like a mini Hampton Court, and the grounds are wonderful. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We noted an issue with the room, and the staff were straight on it and very apologetic, so we were very happy, and would be glad to come again.
Our room was tired and there were stain marks on some of the furniture, however, we mentioned this to the front desk and they were very apologetic and offered a partial refund, so full marks for that great attitude.
