The hotel is in an excellent location. Close to everything and in a very walkable area. Short walk to sites, restaurants and shops. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and secure. The staff was amazing and very welcoming! I loved that they offered a small breakfast each morning and tidied up my room each. It was a very charming hotel and I would stay again. Highly recommend.
There was a bad storm day 4 of my trip and the hotel lost power. All understandable, considering that the building is so old. It started to get very warm in my room. The worst part was when trying to turn the power back on the staff made lots of noise very early in the morning.

- Good location: quiet street in the city center
- Helpful staff
- I learned that was renovated in 2005. Apparently there has not been any other touches since then.
- It wasn’t clean enough.
- Rooms without window are claustrophobic. At least the design and illumination might have made it bearable.

The whole place was soooo beautiful and the pool was just great.all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also really good. Great location
The rooms at the ground floor, where we stayed, did not have windows, so I felt like in a basement, no sunlight. I would recommend to book the rooms at the second or third floor. However I do highly recommend this place, just get the other rooms :).

The staff is really nice and very helpful. The room is the upper floors large, comfortable and had a lot of nature light.
The shower pressure was weak and the room in the ground floor as smell of moisture

I enjoyed the free breakfast every morning, the staff was very helpful when I had questions, the room was cleaned every single day, location to the center was about a 5 min walk.
it would take a few mins for the shower to get hot and at times it was only for a couple mins.

The staff was amazing. Jessica was incredibly helpful with our airline issues and getting the TV working, Indira was very helpful with A/C problems and the upgrade we got was wonderful. Both spoke English very well. The guys manning evening hours were also very accommodating. The breakfasts and the cooks were also so nice. And Tomasa (the cat) was very friendly. And the individual and public rooms were beautiful. Great place overall.
The fact that it's an older building (which we loved) means that it needs a bit more attention to what is working and what isn't to keep it functioning. The staff didn't seem to be aware of several problems (malfunctioning air conditioner, TV router) until we pointed them out. And a few systems improvements (more water for showers instead of just a bare trickle frequently) would have been nice and might be worth making in the future. Mosquitos in such a warm, humid climate can't really be avoided when the architecture is so open, and we appreciated being provided with mosquito repellent.

The location of the hotel is ideal, in the heart of Cartagena where you can walk everywhere within the walled area. Very friendly staff, they offered us a larger room one day after arrival at no additional cost. The hotel door is always closed and very secure.
Small rooms, with a comfortable bed but little storage space and bathroom.

Casa del cuarto
How could you describe the magic of this beautiful romantic colonial house? Perhaps, charming? Perhaps, timeless? What about, magical? I could run out adjectives, all very positive. It goes without saying that even in the most magical places, the staff members are the ones to determine your feedback: I thought I was embraced, understood, welcome and loved. I felt I came to visit a distant relative who would just want to be attentive and give me the best recommendation so I can have the best time, not only inside the hotel, but in the city.
I couldn’t recommend this place Enough.
Thank you, Thank you Casa del Curato for looking after me and making my stay in Cartagena extra special.
Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent hotel in a beautifully decorated old styled house, very well located within the walled city of Cartagena. The hotel staff was always ready to help and support us in any need we might have. We would definitively stay there again if coming back to Cartagena.
