The room was good and basic with all required amenities. The food was great and the service was superb. You can blindly for it for the view.
The room was basic and so the bathroom. Can improve on the toiletries.

Very good spot near the sea, very kindly personal and tasty breakfast. Free snorcheling equipment available. The staff was very nice to us and we felt very comfortable during our stay.
Due to near beach bars there is a lot of loud noise/music till late night.
4.5
We loved staying right on the beach and being able to watch the turtles from our balcony.
The restaurant was great, there was loads of choice and for a good price.
The staff, especially the owner were extremely friendly and helpful.
The location was good, walking distance to Madiha surf break (10 minutes) and Polhena beach and lots of restaurants.
Not really a big problem for us but the music was pretty loud coming from the bars on the Saturday night but apart from that night it was quiet.

The staff were amazing (especially the guy called Hikkaduwa) and they were always willing to help and take care of you. The location was great being away from the noise of Mirissa beach, and was a guaranteed spot to watch turtles swimming every day. The food was great and the staff are very relaxed and flexible to accommodate where and when you want to eat/drink. Walking around the local area always felt safe and for anyone liking a bit of night life "The Doctors House" is a few yards away. Its worth noting this is a surf beach so great for watching boarders but a bit strong for average swimmers.
The description of a hotel with private beach is a bit of a stretch as there are only rocks to the front of the hotel. There are small beach areas either side to the side of the hotel but there isn't a lot of room for sunbathing. However, this a great hotel and after that initial discovery is becomes apparent that the beach access does not detract from the magic experience here. There are plenty of great beaches near by and the hotel has a pool in the adjacent building over the road.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks. First of all, the host was really helpful and kind. He offered to check us in at 8am even because we arrived early from the night flight. We really appreciate this.
We booked a standard room and didn't expect any view, but there was ocean just outside the window! Beautiful and something I couldn't dream about. The room had all the necessary amenities, always hot water and they clean it whenever you ask. Maybe, I'd like more shelves to keep clothes or where to dry wet swimsuits, but I noticed it's common in Sri Lankan hotels to have minimum furniture. Wifi is free and availiable in the lobby and restaurant.
Food in the restaurant is very tasty, I already miss their chicken wrap and ice cream with fruit. Also, there are some good cafes around and a supermarket 20 min walk or 2 min by a three-wheeler.
Swimming pool is a huge bonus. The place is quiet, and great to relax, with sunbeds and umbrellas. A pool was one of my criterias when choosing a hotel, so I was really content with it.
The location of the hotel is also great. The neighborhood is peaceful, but if you want to party, there's Doctor's House place just 100 m away with great parties each Saturday. Matara city centre is just 10 min by a three wheeler and from there you can travel to any other spot on the island.
Generally, we spent really great time here and had dream holidays here.
Even though there are 2 beaches around the hotel, they were not what we expected. The waves were too strong on the small beach so we couldn't swim there (but it is indeed picteresque to take some photos), and the beach on the right was a bit dirty. But we went a little further the street towards Polhena and found a nice beach with sunbeds, good for surfing. Polhena beach is also not so far away (10 min walk) and there are no waves at all and many turtles to swim with.

Location is about 10 minutes drive by tuk tuk from Walgala train station or 30 minutes by walk. Just next to the ocean. Almost all rooms will be facing it. There is little beach next to the hotel and in the building on the other side of the road there is very nice pool. Surrounding scenery is beautiful. It was pleaser to spend three nights at Beach Inns.
Hotel has restaurant with spacious terrace overlooking ocean. Just a perfect place to have dinner during sunset.
Restaurant itself is very nice. Recommended to visit even for non guests. Closes at 21:00 unfortunately. Good variety of choice and reasonable prices. 'Chicken BLT' salad was ours favourite during three days in a row.
We were limited by our budget and got a small room in the corner of main building. It was ok, considering price we've paid. Room has a small terrace with ocean view.
Shower with good water pressure and hot water.
Breakfast was not included into room price, so we had options to choose from wide menu.
In the hotel there is little shop with souveniers, gifts, swimwear.
Manager and all staff were always ready to assist. We had no problems during our stay.
Last but not least hotel offers spa procedures. Tiny girl, whose name I regret to forget, does magic with her hands. I've tried massages all over Sri Lanka and trust me you will feel like in heaven after treatment. Just ask manager about her, he will know.
Cleanliness and overall condition of our room was about 7 out of 10. I'm sure staff do their best, it's just need renovation.
Mosquito net super uncomfortable. Every night I woke up to hold the net while turning myself to other side. It is way better when net is streched over the base.
Every Friday or Saturtday (sorry forgot) Dr House is making party. Music is extremely loud and heard all over district till 2 am. Consider this planning which day to stay by night.
High humidity in the evening and by night, it was uncomfortable to sleep. But as hotel is exactly by ocean, it is logical.
Next to the entrance there are lots of bicycles aimed for hotel guests. But all bikes were broken when we stayed.

Place was really good. Rooms are comfy and large enough plus wash rooms . Restaurant is really really good and prices affordable. If you like spicy food ask chilly past. Check sri lankan authentic food they are really supper class eg. cheese kotthu , string hoppers , hoppers , lobster etc . Restaurants is just next to sea so can enjoy your meal with amazing view and sound of waives. Staff is really kind and helpful in restaurant and hotel both. Beach is not the beat but good to have a tip, near buy lot really nice beaches.

The room, view, pool, restaurant and staff was amazing. Well situated in the quiet area with direct access to the nice semi private beach. Our kids loved the whole place.

- Helpful and friendly staff!
- Great location with beatiful seaviews from the restaurant area!
- Close to a few places with good vibes and food!
- The description said we were going to have Aircondition (A/C), but our room only had a fan so the room was very warm for sleeping.
- The bathroom was of bad standard, quite dirty and lack of basic appliances (soap, shampoo etc).

The calm sea, the location and the freedom to enjoy the serenity
It would have been better if they had more vegan options. But the staff tried their best to provide vegan meals.

Our first room had THE BEST VIEW in Madiha! The hotel restaurant is right on the sea and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. The pool is great and the staff (especially the manager) are awesome!
Issue with smell in the first room (really missed the view when we moved though). The manager was sympathetic and resolved the issue simply and without fuss. He is a great manager 😁
