A very nice place to stay in the hot weather. Bathroom is pretty basic but it does the job :) Super close to the beach and a nice restaurant. A good place to stay if you're on a budget :)
A torn mosquito net was a bit of a problem and a toilet flush had issues sometimes. We accepted and befriended the ants in the room though :)

Very close to the beach, quite a new apartment with a seperate living room and a well equiped kitchen, outdoor sitting area, laundry service, Pool and restaurant, all in all even better as we expected the place to be. Had a very relaxing and nice stay there.

Overall it was great and for a good price.
I think it could use a better fan and there were a lot of bugs - like millipedes and also baby spiders on the sheets.

Thanks to Grace, and all the staff of "Diani Banda cottages" they were incredible.
I really appreciated their professionalism and kindness.
If it happened that you go for vacation in Kenya, I highly recommend that place.👌🏽

Perfect location, less than 5 minutes from the beach, supermarket and restaurants. Bathroom and kitchen are very well equipped for the price that we paid.
WiFi is not work properly sometimes. We ask for help to go to Mombasa. They helped us but, after discussing it with other drivers, we knew that they overcharged very much the price of the taxi. Honestly, we felt cheated.

I stayed here for 10 nights, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful and beautiful environment with close and easy access to the beach. Other compounds nearby may offer the same, but also at a higher cost. Monkeys roam around in the area, and if you are not careful, they may steal your food. But if you ask me, that's part of the experience when travelling, so take it as a good and fun experience rather than an issue. At least you get to experience wild life very near without having to pay for a sarafi-trip! Just don't feed them, as that will encourage them to continue looking for your food.
Good things:
* No noise in the compound. Only the sounds of nature and despite being close to the road, the car noises are barely noticable.
* Really beautiful scenery. Even if you stay at "home" all day, it doesn't feel like a day wasted due to the beauty of the compound itself
* Only a 2 minute walk from the beach and cheap restaurants (meals for 200-500 ksh available!)
* Supermarket is located 5 minutes of walking away. So if you feel like saving or simply cooking by yourself in the kitchen provided in your room, it's not going to be a problem.
* The staff is flexible, all rooms cost the same, so if you want a different room, they will arrange it for you
* The cleaning staff will help you clean the room while you are gone, not only remove the dust but even arrange your things and do your dishes. That's really great service!
* The beds could have been softer, but it's usually like that no matter where you go
* The WiFi is very unstable. Most of the time, it doesn't even reach all the six bandas. I had work to do on my computer, which required me to occupy the terrasse of another banda near the router, that is not mine so I could sit there. Luckily no one had booked that room, so I didn't have to disturb anyone. However, even when you are next to the router, the wifi is still unstable and very slow. If you need to use the internet for something that requires a lot of loading, use your own internet data... It will save you a lot of time on your vacation. Unless the wifi situation has changed since...
* The beach nearby - which in it's natural self is very lovely and beautiful - is unfortunately full of desperate beach-guys who try to sell you coconuts, pictures, bracelets, tours and many other things. They will start approaching you using small-talk pretending to just be curious about who you are, but in the end they will always use that kindness in you to lead the conversation onto business. Even if you say no thanks, they will continue to try to argue with you about why you should accept their offer at least 4-5 times - basically begging you - before they eventually give up. Only the masaii people selling masaii stuff seem humble enough when you say no... But don't let any of them make you feel guilty for not buying the things you are not interested in though. It's your choice what you choose to buy, and it's never wrong to say no, as long as you do it politely. So get used to practicing a lot of polite rejections (unless you actually want to empty your pockets and buy everything they try to sell you!)
Although this has nothing to do with the compound, it's still a thing worth considering when going there

A very short walk to the beach and close to some nice restaurants. It had good little self-catering facilities too
The tap in the kitchen didn’t work

we got the best room at standard rate, the whole place was mostly empty. just loved it! had a view of a big baobab tree that was having flowers, walk to the beach in few minutes, or take a tuktuk to a bar in the evening. was just beautiful life in here.
i had to go back to europe, otherwise all perfect for me.

The banda had a nice outdoor space with a sofa, a table and a couple of chairs. Since the room was unbearably hot, the terrace with fresh breeze was a treat. The surroundings are lovely too, I liked that there were monkeys jumping around.
This is a cheap place and you get what you pay for. There is no hot water, no aircon, no mosquitoes net, the wifi was not working most of the time and the security was a concern (I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my laptop in the room for the whole day). The room was so hot that sleeping was nearly impossible.
The owner found a way to charge me more than the initial room rate: she accused me of giving her an old banknote (which wasn’t true) and asked me to pay additional 1000ksh. This was very disappointing.
Bandas are very close to the beach, but it’s not a nice part of the beach: you still need to make your way to Galu beach where fun stuff happens. So overall neither the accommodation itself nor the location were satisfactory.

We spent 2 nights in these beautiful bandas. For a day we lacked water, electricity, and net because of some problem in the area. But as Grace, the manager was so kind and helpful, we all forgot about this unexpected discomfort.
Thank you Grace, and wish you don't face this much stress in your business anymore.
Hope to be able to spend a long stay at your place

Nothing to like there
When we got there around 3.30pm there was no room available and we were so tired, they said it was a case of late check-out. So we went for food to let the other guests leave. But we came back and they hadn't, they gave us a small shack and it was so small you could barely walk in at the same time. Also we couldn't sleep in the same bed because there were 2 small beds available. Unknowingly we had already paid at reception before checking the condition of the room. The room was just depressing and it was attached to another one which was already occupied and you could hear people having sex
