Fairly easy to collect keys (although there was no one on site - there is no concierge on site). Location is good but it would be good to have a car as Ubers are hard to come by (especially if you are just heading to Camps' Bay). View is amazing, and if you like hiking, there is a hiking trail 5-10mins away.
I was under the impression that the place is fairly close to the beach which it is but it takes ~40 mins by foot although it is just a 6 mins drive away (property is located on top of the hill). One thing I really disliked is the air-conditioning - the air-condition switches off if the wrong mode was selected (it switches to ECO mode which is as good as turning off the air-con, I did not sleep for a night because it was very hot in the room). Adding on to that, there is no concierge on-site or anyone on-site to assist with any issues the guests were facing - when I had issues with the air-condition, I was told that it was a Sunday and they were not meant to come and help and asked me to wait till Monday to get further assistance. Ultimately, someone did call me but I had to figure most of the stuff out myself.

I loved everything. The host, Candice, was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and worth a while. She even left us a beautiful bottle of wine in the room. The room was stunning, with breathtaking view of the ocean from the bed and in the balcony. On the other hand was a beautiful view of the mountains. The cleanliness was out of this world with a beautiful shower and nice hot water all the time. The pressure from the shower was the best. The room was so big and spacious, linen was crisp, there's a smart TV with YouTube, we could play music on it. There's huge mirrors everywhere, a girl's best friend. There's everything you need, from crockery to cutlery. We also enjoyed the nespresso machine and coffee pods 😀 it was our favourite part of the morning.
It's a short drive from Camps Bay Beach. We could use PNP ASAP to order food
Gloria, the cleaner, was very helpful. She always asked us if she could clean our room. The place felt like home, I'm definitely coming back.
Please add a non-slip matt in the shower as the tile is slippery when wet.

The balcony view was out of this world and the sun setting over the ocean was breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable, rooms were cleaned and fresh towels changed daily, was very impressed with that.

Location and the view were exceptional. Very comfortable and relaxing place.
Communication could improve. International people can’t always call local and need WhatsApp or chat through booking.

was really spacious, easy and fast communication, price-value ratio was great.

Mostly clean
needs fine tuning to eliminate obvious issues. found the welcome letter quite rude blaming guests for being critical. the tone of the document was unwelcome
the receptionist needs tracing in customer service- very reluctant to show anything; no smile or warmth of welcome.
will not stay here again.

Stunning penthouse suite. Amazing views of Table Mountain, Lions Head, Camps Bay coastline, nice garden and pool area (cold water, refreshing!). Impressive range of crockery, cutlery, dining utensils, all high quality. Sun loungers top quality. We had a daily clean, staff were very friendly. Candice is particularly welcoming and a great source of local information. Good location to explore and get some hilly walks in. Houts Bay Craft Gin Distillery worth a trip. Nice harbour eating area Houts Bay. Camps Bay nice eating areas and beach, try Zenzero .... Hussars Grill fabulous also ..... pre-book both or won't get in. Camps Bay. Fish lovers try Codfather or Houts Bay harbour. V&A Waterfront fabulous restaurants and bars, try Mozambique! Uber very cheap.
We'd definitely come back to this property .... they'll sort any issues you have when there, just ask politely. Ignore much of the rubbish written below..... but we were in the top / bigger penthouse. Thank you everyone at Kettle's House!

Loved the clean room with kitchenette. Loved the pool deck and chairs. Great to know always parking outside. Great peacocks and pheasants and birds on property.
Nothing we didn’t like about the property. 1 suggestion to have screens on at least one window so we could keep open at night without mosquitos.

Scenery
Room not being cleaned and linen not changed despite staying for a week in your premises.
We had to complain for things to be done....
Buying your own milk, I mean that is not 'ayoba' at all... It was our first ever when we booked (lodge/apartment/hotel/BnB etc) worse in Camps Bay, the beautiful suburb in the country!
Too many carpets which trip us especially at night when going to the toilet. You explained that, but it's a hazard. N enough toilet papers knowing very well that there is no housekeeping on Sundays ..
Yes, we came at night fair and square on our first day.... But the manager was his/her duty to make sure that he/she welcomes us and tell/show us any activities around the house the following day in the morning. It doesn't mean when things are written on the booklet are more understandable as compared to being told by the people of that place.
Yes, we understand the load shedding is hitting the whole country, but don't you think you need to have a backup by now since this 'thing' is gonna be with us for the next coming 2 years.... Get a generator/solar to cover this 2hrs.... We had to stay at the restaurants when there was loadshedding because we couldn't stay in the dark house. We came to enjoy Cape Town, to enjoy it we needed lights....
The place was clean, I can't fault it... But your staff need to work on their attitude towards people of colour especially when it comes to housekeeping...
Parking, parking.... Camps can be a very safe place I presume.... But cars need shelters and one needs to sleep peacefully knowing that their car is in a safe place.... It may not be a Bugatti/Porsche/Maybach etc.... All cars need a loving and care... It is frustrating to leave the car and you need to walk to the house....
The shower was drizzling water, it is faulty. We had to resort to the one on the bathtub.
The toilet also is not flushing thoroughly...

We didn’t have breakfast there, we made our own.
The Wi-Fi was terrible and they didn’t have cable/dstv in our room because they said they put Netflix. We hardly watched tv because the Wi-Fi was always off or weak. The TV quality was poor.
The cleaning staff did not do a great job cleaning our room, they never sweeped the floor once.
The fact that we had to borrow an iron and ironing board like we’re kids wasn’t okay.

Love the furniture, paintings and scenery.
Pool area oh so heavenly.
Candice is so cool, very accomodating and very helpful.
I love the key control system. I felt the key system was so cool and need not have to wait for someone to open the entrance for me.
What is there not to like.
Electricity is a problem in South Africa and Kettle's provided emergency light, braai area with gas stove
