Definitely recommend this place for a stay

Friendly staff. Recommend us to dinner at the pub a few min away and it was great. Coffee and hot chocolate provided at reception. They have a resident dog and cat. Very friendly dog. The place is as clean as it looks in the photos. Our family was impressed with the level of cleanliness and the space is good.

This was so amazing and we really recommend it. What a hidden gem

We loved this motel so much! The man running it was so sweet and helpful. There was free hot chocolate and tea that was so tasty. It was really clean and nice and there was a microwave, toaster, and a minifridge.

The town was a little quiet and there weren’t many restaurant options

Great location in walking distance to everything. Room had everything we needed - lots of attention to detail. Very clean and comfortable, with extra bonuses. The hosts were so helpful and lovely. Highly recommend.

Great area, rooms and staff

Rooms were clean, tidy and well set out for people travelling for holidays or work. Staff were available if needed, friendly and just a nice area to stay

Very clean and great location

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. The location was great too, close to the water and dining places. 12 Apostles were only 12 minutes drive away. Will definately come back

Amazing hosts

Easy check-in and directly offered a hot choclate for the night, easter eggs in the room, comfortable beds, clean and quiet room Helped with exchanging of a flat tyre!!! Thanks again

Exceptional comfort and friendliness

Portside Motel truly impressed with its spacious and impeccably clean rooms. The comfortable accommodation provided a relaxing stay. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness added a welcoming touch to the experience. I highly recommend Portside Motel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Superb

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, and I really liked the lovely design touches - funky chairs and table. Even though it was a 70s room, these touches made it feel more contemporary and personalised. It was also really close to the township so an easy walk to get dinner.

Excellent motel, comfortable, clean, warm and welcoming with a great price to match.

Lovely clean rooms with a good hot shower, microwave, toaster and coffee stuff if you didnt want to eat out, the bed was super comfortable and extra snuggly warm for a very cold night. I arrived when there was no one at reception but a note was left out for several guests still to arrive informing us of our rooms and the key was there waiting. Good Work.

Great place to stay

So happy with our 2 days stay here. We had the family room and it’s so massive for the 3 of us, very clean and the bed was super comfy and all the stuff that we need were all available inside the room. The location is very accesible to our iteneraries as well as the resto in the area. Des & Sue were very polite and accomodating plus they have the best complimentary hot drinks at the reception area. We will surely come back here & definitely will recommend this place to our family & friends😍😊

Great sized room for family or friend group with clean facilities and wonderfully comfortable beds.

we loved the large family room, super comfortable beds, and proximity to the Great Ocean Road. The owner was lovely, as were her dog Skip and cat Oscar who made an appearance during checkin. It was the perfect place for our overnight during our roadtrip.

Our booking experience came to life when we arrived and talked to the owner. He was a wealth of knowledge and was happy to give us lots of recommendations of what to see and where to eat etc. When we entered our rooms we were very pleasantly surprised. Each room had special touches. BISCUITS and plenty of teabags. The furnishings were tasteful and each room was unique. We had a set of easy chairs made of animal hides, outdoor chairs and a table to use for afternoon drinks/or breakfast. Beautiful plants and special soap in the dispensers. A stay with some very special touches that added to our comfort.

A satisfactory overnight stop.

good location, bathroom ok, bed ok

Room numbers duplicated between motel and appartments. we were given a motel room number by text as we arrived late. we went to the appartments by, mistake as it was dark and tried to open the door but someone was inside and told us we were at the wrong place. They should have different room numbers to avoid this embarrassing experience. Not rocket science. WiFi too slow to be usable. No microwave or toaster, and while coffee and sugar is provided, take your own teaspoon.
