Amazing stay and would highly recommend- central and walking distance to everything around Echoland.

the facilities were perfect for a large group of 4 families totaling 14. All 7 bedrooms have en-suites so everyone has their own private space as well as great communal areas. Chika and family were amazing and very hospitable providing shuttle services to lift areas and onsens as well as helping with restaurant bookings.

Host take care pick up from bus station on time

toilet,Would like to add travel information in case of using public transportation or providing a car rental service with a driver would be very good sometimes needed,and information about luggage storage other than at the station or deposit at the accommodation There is a delivery service before boarding the car. If you can collect transportation costs.

Great cottages in a top location

Wonderful cottages- heated floors, comfy beds, space for ski equipment and a beautiful outlook to the snowy surroundings. Staff were helpful and kindly picked up/dropped off at train station. Super close to the Main Street of restaurants etc.

The bath towel size was very small.

Mattress on the floor could maybe do with a bed to raise you up off the floor but seems to be the norm in Japan

Great accommodation in Hakuba

This was a great choice for a family ski holiday. The location is convenient- the shuttle to Goryu and Hakuba 47 is out front, rhe shuttles to the rest of the hills only 5 minutes walk away, close to Echoland and in a quiet setting. Cottages are spacious and bright. The night taxi stop is only 5 minutes walk at Cherry Pub.

A bit chilly in the winter- especially the rooms w/out tatami mats. However, there is good heating.

Exceptional

Coziness of the cabin made very relaxing to come home to after a long day out on the slope. Small kitchen with all the necessities if we needed to cook, were provided. Plus all the appliances, fridge, freezer, microwave, rice cooker, and conventional oven. If you dont feel like cooking very convenient to restaurants and slopes. We stayed there 2 weekends where it was white out. Staff at the cabins were up earlier to plow roads and parking lots for easy access. Also let us utilize brushes and scrapers for car.

That I cant be there right now.

Too basic for the price

Cute community with little cottages but cottages are too basic for price. Couple issues they need to improve on. 1. Need hear source in each bedroom. If we closed the doors rooms were freezing. We had to sleep with all bedroom doors open because their is only one heater in the living room. 2.The beds are mattresses on tatami, not made with linens and not very comfortable. 3. No place to put clothes in bedrooms - they need some storage we lived out of bags for four days. 4. Need hooks somewhere near the bathroom to hang towels. 5. 5. Need a simple mirror in bedrooms, 6. No coffee make or even basic filter holder. Honestly these cottages are cute, but way over priced. Biggest issue was Ants I high actually crawled in our beds. We complained but nothing was done to resolve. When I mentioned at checkout the woman said “very unusual this time of year”????? Not very helpful to solve the issue.

A winter wonderland!

the property offered a cozy and closed off atmosphere safe for children. There were also many delicious mom and pop restaurants in the area.

the mattress’s provided were very clean but uncomfortable. my back was aching each morning.

Cozy cottage in Hakuba

I stayed with three more friends at Brownie Cottages over a long weekend to enjoy some skiing/snowboarding. Brownie Cottages are located close to lifts, supermarket, and onsen, which made our stay there very convenient. The cottage itself is equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including cooking utensils, rice cooker, toaster. The loft area, although a bit tricky to climb up to, is the warmest and coziest place In the cottage. Highly recommended and we would return again.

Comfortable cottage in Echoland

Comfortable bedding -beautiful snowy views Nice stand alone cottage Good position to walk to restaurants Easy walk to buses for skiing ( note it’s not ski in / ski out but less than 10 mins in the bus to Happo one ) Owners offer free shuttle to the supermarket/bus station & pay laundry facilities

It was great for our family of four adults The sitting area was a bit on the small side -and the kitchen is basic but we only ate in for breakfast

Very good

Location to shuttle bus transport. Proximity to Echoland restaurants, cafes and convenience store. Proprietor and staff were great.

Limited clothes storage and drying space. Utensils and crockery needs a refresh.
