It was terrible, the staff stole my jewelry and the management protected him.

On my second day they asked me to move to another room. During that move the staff clearly stole money from my wallet and stole my jewelry. What was even more disappointing is I discovered this before I left and the management protected the staff and the person who stole my things disappeared all of a sudden and they claimed he was gone. So warning to everyone that stays there to not allow staff in their room

The rooms are freezing. TV Chanel’s are very limited and the overall quality of the rooms are below average. Pictures look much better than the actual hotel.

Lovely place for a family

Rooms are big and spacious, staff if friendly, accommodating and patient, breakfast was delicious. the hotel provided a cot for my toddler and it was very comfortable.

The heater is the apartment living room was not working so the room was too cold and we were uncomfortable. The kitchen does not have any plates and no cutlery so when we ordered pizza we had to eat on serviettes. the couch in the living room was caving in the middle and was uncomfortable to sit? The ceramic table top can be very dangerous to lean on especially for kids as it is not glued to the table. The place and furniture has seen better days, the wear and tear is clearly visible. The wifi connection is weak.

Very good

Ideal spot for celebrating with friends or if you just want timeout from the busy city life. Their very spacious and cleverly themed rooms transports you into a place and time from a favourite movie set :-). Everyone was attentive, from the hotel manager to the staff throughout our stay. Truly exceeded my expectations.

I loved the location! Easy access to everywhere. Friendly staff and spacious and clean rooms. The garden is magnificent.

Looks great but lost a bit of it's grandeur

We had a good deal in terms of price, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is nice. Was easy to check in and we could stay a couple of hours outside waiting for our flight in the evening. Breakfast was good as well

The place looks a bit like decayed grandeur. Some of the furniture looked a bit damaged and old such as the chairs outside and ripped towels. In our room, Nero, there was a lot of light coming in through windows in the floor and thin white curtains which meant we woke up quite early and couldn't sleep anymore. The dinner was not that good, both the meat as well as the wine card, there were only 3 out of ~20 available and when I picked one there was only and opened bottle.

Villa Simone could do better and be back to how it was initially.

It’s always been my first choice when in Johannesburg, always met and exceeded my expectations in terms of staffs friendliness, food choices and atmosphere overall.

Seems to be dropping in terms of service quality. This time heaters in room was disfunctional, was super cold , sauna wasn’t functional, water wasn’t running for the longest part of the stay, experienced a rude management staff for the first time who was more money-centric on late checkout when there wasn’t water to even brush or bath before leaving. Overall this time wasn’t the most comfortable stay.

Beautiful room and facilities Kosher breakfast was arranged Very accommodating to our requests - we asked for a table and two chairs to be brought to our room and they had no problem.

Electricity tripped in our room meaning we couldn't charge our phones. I booked a room with a spa bath but the jacuzzi function wasn't working when we arrived The phone to contact reception wasn't working so needed to walk down to speak to them
