Passable

The location was good, very quiet and good walking distance to the Passadiços do Cerro da Candosa ( for those who enjoy walking). Swimming pool was good.

The mattresses were very uncomfortable and the house lacked a good deep cleaning. The house has too much "decoration" but that is just a personal opinion 🙏.

The staff. The lady that was serving breakfast was very nice.

Dusty house from the numerous amount of decorations and tapestry. The private room with bathroom was a surprise considering that the bathroom was the bedroom. Not nice to sleep in the same space you do your necessities 😂😂

Really nice, and quite quirky country house, turned BnB. I got the feeling of walking into my gran's house! Very cosy and comfortable, big kitchen, nice garden - and a very idyllic and close-to-nature setting.

My room was not "en suite", but the bathroom was across the living room/kitchen.

The garden, bathroom was good.

The dorm room is really small, not good value for money. The house is very humid and smells of mold. Also, half of our stay coincided with painting of the front of the house which made if difficult to enter the house comfortably.

Stay here.

Can’t really add anything to the fabulous reviews of previous guests. Joao has a smile you can see through his COVID mask. Beautiful room, lovely breakfast included in the price, which makes it very good value. Loved staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sotam.

A lot of thought had clearly gone into the decorating of the house. It was absolutely beautiful inside and out. John and Enna were wonderful hosts.

The kitchen needed more light. It was quite difficult to see the controls on the hob. A bin outside would have been useful.

Grandma's house

Old recovered house with a lot of character, furnished in a old style, typical from a grandma's. Fresh and handmade breakfast, and the super friendly host.

Bed and pillows not so comfortable, if the house is full it can be difficult to park outside. Our room had no bathroom (suite style), we had to walk through the living room and kitchen to get to bathroom (it can be uncomfortable passing through other guests). Soundproof between rooms is not good, you can hear other guests snoring. But that's part of the experience, due to the style of the house.
