Amazing place
4.2
walking through the bar to get to my room.
4.2
The location is good and the staff were open s d friendly
The place is constructed as an Insta facade. The roof leaked when it rained in multiple places with 6 buckets needed in one of them and even at the entrance to the room water was pouring through the ceiling onto the carpet. The bar was empty and the famed terrace only really works in sunny and warm weather. A poor Soho House imitator sadly.
4.2
Courtyard and bar areas
Music from the Bar until 1am was very loud in the rooms!
4.2
nothing overrated
noisy and stealing from the residents by charging stuff to your room and accusing you of using them and also not returning the deposit as promised when you first check in.
4.2
Amazing staff. Great bar and restaurant. Cool design.
Fantastic as a bar, complete failure as a hotel. Rooms are dirty and dark. Zero daylight. Breakfast is in a dark room with no natural light. Party in the hotel until 2-3am and zero sound insulation means you are part of it whether you want it or not. Sink was clogged. Does not provide the basics of what any hotel should. Ended up paying an £850 one night penalty just to leave early and stay at another hotel.
4.2
Cool chic design
The bar
Day staff who were all very nice and polite
Room smelled like the loo during the night
Night receptionist who was rude and dismissive
Behind the chic trendy design is a 3 star hotel, some hoteliers do not know the meaning of luxury and high end service
It persuaded me to stop trying new and different hotels as I always stay at Ham Yard or the Stafford when in London
4.2
Design, atmosphere at night, amazing staff, location
Nothing really
4.2
from the moment you walk in the interior is amazing I was there for the coolest party That started after 11pm the food was great rooms and comfort I couldn’t ask for more
4.2
Everything. The hotel is a totally unique experience, the decor and atmosphere throughout the hotel is amazing and the staff were incredible attentive and delivered a high level of personable customer service. The hotel was an experience that was exciting, vibrant, with high quality food and drink along with a great night sleep in the luxurious Newman suite. A must is the spiritual healing treatment and the Sunday yoga class.
Nothing, everything about this hotel is unique, amazing and exceeded all my expectations.

decoration
nothing

Excellent property, very posh and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Felt like a celebrity staying here and the staff treat you as such. Very wonderful area as well, easy to walk around in and explore and so much to do.
Only downside is there is no fitness center but I do believe that is more standard for American hotels.
4.2
Location is great
Pretentious feel to it, bad in winter as most of it felt closed. Good looking bar but poor service. Room was totally bog standard, cabinets were noisy and there were stains on carpet and sofa so really didn’t feel 5 star
4.2
unusual decor
they tried to charge an “optional” service charge of £22 and didn’t provide any explanation of what it was
4.2
The eclectic decor. Comfortable room & bed. Most staff members were professional and friendly The ambience of the breakfast area.was great. The cocktails were excellent.
Noise travelled from the outside bar terrace to our room until 03.45 hrs.
Scary voodoo picture by bed.was unnecessary.
No photos allowed.

was a very beautiful place it’s a shame it was wet weather as I would’ve love to go to the open bar it looked amazing
nothing to say about not liking it was incredible, although the breakfast is very tiny for what you pay for it
4.2
Lovely style throughout the hotel.
Our room was comfy and shower was amazing.
YOPA was lovely and had the best staff! helpful and knowledgeable!
The bar could do with having more staff and a better cocktail menu too…
1 Barman serving drinks for everyone when busy isn’t the best!
4.2
Room was very well decorated and so was all of the hotel. hotel was also right next to Oxford street which was perfect for me and my partner!
4.2
Fantastic hotel
I think for £600 for the room perhaps breakfast could be included !
4.2
We selected The Mandrake as it was in an excellent location and as architects we wanted to experience the architecture
The architecture was beautifully detailed, fantastic landscaped internal courtyard and outrageous interior design in public spaces! But the hotel was also very confusing .... it was easy to get completely lost going to your room with minimal and poor signage Guest services were found wanting continuously with the exception of one staff member at front desk the security guard who was very good.
4.2
Expected to have breakfast included for the price paid, the phone didn’t work in the room and was also small in comparison to the previous rooms I have stayed in.
As above
4.2
I love the interior of this hotel, the decors is nice and cocktails are good but service is slow
I have always liked the bar/restaurant so I wanted to stay there with my sister however we were both incredibly disappointed with the level of service and the room. Staff were more preoccupied with staring at people rather than opening the door at the entrance for guests.
When we wanted to have a cocktail the staff again more preoccupied by how they look rather than serving people. I saw 2 tables walk out as they were not being served. It was not busy, staff were just standing looking at their Ipad and chatting - it was so odd! The room was very basic - there was nothing luxury about this hotel
4.2
this place was stunning! fabulous stay, great staff and service and the room was absolutely stunning. we had the Newman suite I highly
recommend
only
downfall is the bedding was very thin and the beds were not that comfortable.
4.2
Very pleasant surroundings, environment and staff
4.2
Everything was interesting and different from the normal. The breakfast food was exceptional.
The breakfast dining area which I’m sure is lovely in the summer was a bit basic for late September. The seats and tables delightfully rustic we’re not comfortable.
