La Granera is a beautiful holiday home on a breathtaking location. We liked the serene environment very much. The location is quite central in Catalonia: the Costa Brava, Pyrenees and the medieval Catalonian towns are all within 1-1,5h reach by car. On the premises of La Granera there are several roofed terraces providing shade on the hotter days or cover on the rainy ones.
The advertisement on booking.com for this house does not make clear that there is another apartment for rent at the same location. The pool, garden, BBQ, terraces are actually shared with other guests. So, the experience staying in La Granera very much depends on whether the other apartment is also occupied and by what kind of guests.
The house was not super clean when we arrived (mold in the fridge), there is some overdue maintenance (shower) and the amount kitchen utensils is a bit tight for when you stay longer or with a larger group.
Be aware that there is no airconditioning in the house, so it can become very warm on the hot summer days.

This is a good place for people that enjoy to be away from civilization. The house is situated in a very remote location and it is was very comfortable in January, with huge windows letting in winter sun. It might be a problem in summer, with those large windows and no AC. The outside area is perfect, with a nice grill and several lounging places around the house! Also, this is a perfect place for visitors with dogs, our dog was totally happy with the large (fenced) area around the house! The nature is just outside the house - we spotted some bats and even heard an owl during the night. There are also some nature trails going just past the house, and we tried some of them. They were ok for an afternoon stroll, but there are much better trails with more magnificent views just half an hour or an hour drive away.
Since we have read comments of other visitors before the visit, we were not surprised about the road, that is rather difficult and indeed requires an SUV to reach the house. I would recommend that the owners be more transparent about this factor. The kitchen is rather basic which is normally not a problem, as people can go out to eat. But in this place, you think twice about driving anywhere, as it takes that bad road...and there is also a COVID issue - so I would recommend to improve the kitchen by adding a stove and maybe a dishwasher, adding some more pans, bowls. And fix the large gas ring on the stove, it did not work. The heating is with the pellets furnace that is situated prominently in the middle of the living room, and it is quite noisy. However, the bedrooms are in the ground level and they are well isolated and cool, so, no problem with sleeping.

Llum is an excellent host, very receptive to clients' requests. She was very helpful with instructions about how to reach the house. The views are breathtaking. It's an amazing place, perfect for nature lovers.
The fact that it didn't have mosquito nets in the bedroom.

This place is very quiet and perfect to get a bit of rest.
The place is very out of the way and a common car cannot go through the trail. We went to practice road cyclind and it wasn't explicit on the announcement. It was very unpleasant to load our bikes every day on a SUV the host gave us. Also the washing machine did not work when we come and we get difficulties to start the wood burner.
I must say the host did everything she can to ease our troubles, but it was too much for us.
