Location was ideal for Hatfield house and Galleria shopping centre. Garden room was great with everything we needed. Room was clean and tidy thanks :-)
3.0
Good location for what we needed.
The bed was uncomfortable (pull out bed not proper bed). The property is quite literally in someone's garden, which is usually okay, however, the host was intrusive. We shut the blinds so we could complete various work video calls undisturbed, but she knocked on the door on several occasions. We weren't offered breakfast, either.

Unfortunately the fridge was extremely loud so I couldn’t sleep

Garden room with place to walk our dog over the road. Close to shops and restaurants. Very clean and airy. Good shower.
Very thin flat towels. Noisy fridge thermostat during night. Also noise sounding like water rushing down a drain pipe late at night.

Great location, garden room is a great size and provides privacy from the main house

The area is very quiet and lovely and the bed was very comfy. The owner was very helpful and when we managed to sleep in until 10am (!!!!) And realised we had gone over our checking out time she was very lovely and accommodating and told us npt to worry and that 11 was fine. We were embarrased so tried to leave quite quickly and because we sort of rushed and panicked a bit to get out within 20 mins I didn't get to try out the shower but all looked very clean and well kept. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Thank you!

Tidy and clean little cabin - easy to fine with clear instructions on how to find the key etc.
No Wi-fi - which was a nightmare as I had work to do and documents to send out. I saw the owner in the morning and she said they had had an engineer look at it the week before - but although it appeared to connect, there was zilch connectivity!

Lovely little room near Hertfordshire Uni and The Galleria. Comfy bed and lovely amenities
I wasn’t sure which place I was in at first. but everything else was grand.

It was clean and convenient for where we were working.
It was very cold. The room is a garden room converted to a studio. The heater was insufficient for temperatures in single figures.
Problems in the bathroom - heater didn't work, shower head holder was broken and plug in sink didn't work. The bath towels were very small (good job really because a decent size towel would not have dried, there was nowhere to dry towels either). The information says that the cleaning fee doesn't include washing up but there was no washing up liquid or tea towels provided. These are all small items but should NOT occur. They are easily remedied if checked after each resident. We run and Airbnb and these issues wouldn't happen with us because we check every time and keep a store of replacements. Not difficult to get right.

very clean, spacious room with an ensuite. having a microwave and a small fridge was an advantage for me.
the studio room was separate from the main house (like a summer house) which gives you more privacy.
nice garden view and very friendly owner too.
I would certainly book again
it’s not very well sound insulated which is expected with this type of building. this may not apply to anyone, but I’m a little sensitive to noise.

The location was perfect for me as I was going to the university. The garden is lovely and I imagine very nice in summer. The bathroom is 5* standard, very modern decorating, antifog mirror, and good shower. Parking was good. Communication with host was good, she missed my call at first but rang me back straight away and was very helpful and asked if there was anything I needed.
There seemed to be a bit too much furniture in the room, it is just one room with the en suite attached, but had the bed, a little table with two chairs, a fridge, microwave, and wardrobe which would have been fine but then a large arm chair was also in the middle of the room which made it hard to open the wardrobe and difficult to get to the table. The bed was too soft for me. I also felt a little vulnerable as the room opens straight onto the garden via a folding glass door, which I'm sure would be beautiful in summer, but I felt a little bit exposed only having one door between me and the outside. It had a secure lock on it though. The room I stayed in was attached to the main house, and the walls were quite thin, I could hear running water etc from the main house. That was fine for me but just to note for other guests. Also there was a microwave and a fridge but no bowls or plates, I guess these were available on request.

Had a toaster and microwave
Very over priced, missing little things like hand towels, washing up sponge, large mirror.
Blind broken so light came through and not much privacy, cutlery dirty from previous use, cold even when 10c outside. Bedding old and bobbled. Nowhere to hang or store belongings.
Not all the facilties that were listed were there.

Clean and well presented.
Good location for what I needed it for
Cold because only 1 small heater but it was when really cold weather was about.
No smoke detector in the rental accommodation. Surprised they can let it without it because it is a basic requirement of a rental property for safety of guests

It was a perfect location and very quiet, the room was decent and clean with all the amenities for tea and microwave. The bed, relatively comfortable.
The WiFi connection was constantly crashing, so I had to use my own.
The room was exceptionally cold at night and there's no heating control in the room. I requested to turn the heating on but it switched off after late hours and I wasn't able to sleep at all as I was absolutely freezing.
Not a pleasent experience.

Private studio apartment with comfy bed. Studio has mini kitchen and a large wall hung TV. Nice bar stool area overlooking the garden. Helpful and friendly owner. Quiet road close to where I was working. Coop 4 mins walk away.
I prefer a bed head to be against wall - this bedhead is in middle of room. Room is used for private purposes when not rented so there are private owner items behind a curtain to one side of room. Not sure if there was an iron / ironing board available - couldn't find one (didn't want to ask as I arrived late).

Nothing in particular.
Very poor lighting around the key safe box. Very difficult to open the sliding door. Laundary was sub standard. Insufficient heating in the main room. Off road parking was not available. Had to park in muddy area.

the neighbourhood is quiet and nice!
the owner kept emailing at odd hours to complain about front light that was coming on on its own. the owner also complained about the energy bill, the room was cold and the heating was poor. owner came in to check if the elderly couple staying there were using the heater! they were cold and of course needed to use the heater!
