This is a beautiful home, lovingly renovated to retain the original 1920s charm and preserve history, while including modern updates and conveniences. It is perfectly located in the heart of Winston Salem- only a few blocks from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and less than a mile from downtown. This sparkling, clean house allows for the chance to get away while still providing the comforts of home. It is large enough that everyone can stay together under one roof. There is a big, open kitchen with a television and brand new appliances and all the utensils, pots/pans, small appliances - and even spices- you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner! You will appreciate tasteful touches throughout the home that make this an extra special getaway. Everything you might need to feel comfortable are at your disposal, including fresh towels and sheets, cozy blankets, a sound machine, laundry room with washer/dryer and detergent, comfortable beds and K-Cups to go with the Keurig.
There is an abundance of space in this home so that everyone can spread out. You will find a stunning dining room that seats up to 12. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and a bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Each bedroom has a unique local theme to add to its charm. There is a bright, enclosed sun porch off the front room- perfect for conversations in the early morning or late at night. This room even has unique pieces of furniture created by a local Winston Salem artist. If you want to spend time outside, there are many options. There is a spacious porch in the front of the house and a great backyard in the back that includes a pergola above a large table- great for enjoying meals or conversation as children run around in the yard. For those traveling with babies, we also provide a crib, changing table, baby bathtub and high chair for your convenience.
To maintain the quality of this home and keep a hypoallergenic environment, there are no pets allowed. Smoking, drugs and parties are not permitted. Weekday 1 night stays may be available on a case by case basis. Multi night discounts available. Please ask!
We would love for you to add to the many memories that have already been made here. Our entire team is here to serve you, so let us know if we can help!

Guests can access any part of the house, with the exception of the basement which is simply a utility room. The entire yard and garage is available to guests and included in the price.
We are available to help anytime during the stay. We want you to enjoy yourself, feel at home, and have great service!
This 1920s gem is across the street from beautiful Hanes Park, with playgrounds, tennis courts, and more. We are also less than a half mile from Wake Forest University Medical Center, as well as less than a half mile from downtown, Publix, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods and dozens of great restaurants and other attractions very nearby. Located right off business I-40, it is very convenient for travelers. It's a short Uber or Lyft ride to all the vibrant downtown life; the arts district, breweries, cool restaurants, music, boutique theatres, shopping, as well as easy access to wonderful museums such as Reynolda House, SECCA (free!), and the must-see Old Salem. It's also a great area to get in your FitBit steps, and you'll see many walkers, joggers, dog walkers, and bike riders in our neighborhood.
Winston-Salem is rich with history and continuing to grow, and our home is close enough to the very heartbeat of the City of Arts and Innovation to be convenient for sightseeing, yet is located in a family neighborhood, making it the perfect haven of tranquility for you and your guests.
You can relax and "get away from it all" under the lighted backyard pergola, sip coffee in the morning in the truly unique and artsy window filled sunroom, or simply kick back on the fully reclining plush leather sofa.
Whatever your pleasure is staying in or going out on the town, you're sure to feel rested in the morning after sleeping in our comfy and clean beds! Mi Casa Es su Casa!
Uber is readily available.
Wonderful park across the street with access to playgrounds and tennis courts. Beautiful pergola with table and seating on the backyard patio with lighting and overhead fan; perfect for outside activities. Covered front porch with seating area.

Seven family members from four different states met in Winston Salem for a girls weekend. This house was perfect for our gathering. It is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. The house has a lot of charm and is perfectly located for venturing out for segway & haunted walking tours, wineries, shopping and restaurants. The house is also well equipped for dining in. If ever back in Winston Salem, most definitely will book this house again.

This property was as described, a lovely, well-kept home in a historic area of Winston-Salem. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals, formal dining room where we could eat together, comfortable beds, bathrooms to accommodate us all. We highly recommend this property.

House was great.

There were 8 of us. 4 adults and 4 kids (6, 4,3 and 7 months. The size and location worked great for us. Unfortunately there are a lot of negatives. The house was not clean: the floors were filthy, the freezer compartment in the fridge had black mold, the air return vents were filthy, there was black mold on the ceilings in 2 showers. The tub in the downstairs bathroom was rusted and the front steps were falling apart. Also the laundry room had holes in the floor and wall (very concerning with small children).

We rented Eric's place for three nights while we were in Winston-Salem to move our son into college and it was perfect. The location was great, everything was clean and functioning, and it was well equipped. The only thing that was a little tricky was the parking as the house is located on a busy street and we had to back out of the driveway.

Our family of eight adults + two bridesmaids had a fantastic stay at Alspaugh Manor for our daughter’s wedding. Lots of space, huge back yard, lighted wisteria pergola, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen… LOTS to like. Management team attentive and provided information and support.

The house and location were great. There was a bit of a musty smell. The bathrooms were ok. One of the upstairs bathroom tubs was clogged. The water for showers was not very hot.
It worked out great for our family. We were in town for a wedding and the location was close to everything.

Great location and lots of room
We really enjoyed our stay in this home. There is quite a lot of room to relax, and we really enjoyed the kitchen and the comfortable sofa. We loved our meal outside under the wisteria. The photo doesn't do the backyard trellis justice. Also, the West End was a great place for morning walks. Gorgeous neighborhood! If I were to nitpick on improvements, I would suggest repairing the rust around the drain in the downstairs tub, and a good cleaning of cobwebs behind the blinds in many of the second floor windows. Loved our stay.

We were in town for a family wedding and this house was perfect for my family. Great neighborhood with a park nearby and walking distance to great burger and gelato place.

Several of us came to town for a wedding. We had no issue with getting ready as there are three full bathrooms in the house. We were able to bring breakfast and lunch meals so we could just eat at the house. This worked out great as we were able to spend more time together. The house was very clean and spacious. We’re sad that we couldn’t spend time sitting outside in the backyard because it was so beautiful and it’s so quiet. Property owners were easily accessible and responded quickly and thoroughly to any inquiries we had. This was a great place to stay and we will keep this house in mind the next time we all gather together again in Winston-Salem.

This house was perfect! We were in town with family for a concert, and this house was beautiful. The backyard is its own little oasis, and walking distance to a few restaurants as well. The hosts were quick to respond and had little snacks/amenities that were a nice touch. Would definitely rent again next time we are in town!

We loved sitting in the kitchen, wisteria and front porch talking long into the night.

Wonderful place for friends to gather!
We loved this property! This was a group of old friends who gathered to attend an Elton John concert in Greensboro. Even though it was a bit of a hike on concert night, we knew this was the perfect place as soon as we saw the listing. It lived up to all of our expectations! There was plenty of room for everyone, a gorgeous kitchen and a wonderful sun room. Sadly, cold weather kept us from spending time under the gloriously blooming wisteria arbor except for a few minutes when we just couldn't resist. There were many unexpected niceties, including toothbrushes and Keurig cups. Our one minor problem (with a recliner that wouldn't cooperate) was addressed almost instantly. We will definitely stay again when we're in the area.

Four generations of my family gathered in this lovely home to celebrate my son’s achieving his Doctor of Physical Therapy and his graduation from the program at High Point University. We absolutely loved this property. It was meticulously clean, large enough for our extended family to not feel cramped, and so well stocked—there was never a time we couldn’t find whatever it was we needed! From the house to the beautifully landscaped back yard, everything was perfect! We want to visit Winston-Salem again just so we can stay here! Highly, highly recommend!
