The cottage was just right. Very clean and close to town. We had a great time and will be back. Only suggestion is looking into a larger TV. Very tiny.

Our stay at the Texas Sage was great! it was just the right, relaxing visit. Very cute, rustic cabin for a Hill Country stay!

It is a full 1 bedroom but for some reason I thought it was going to be more like one large room. Bathroom is spacious. It really has everything you need to stay long term if that’s what you are looking for. I’m a bit tech challenged so I had a little trouble with the TV but that’s probably just me.

Our stay at Texas Sage was great. It is very and private and very quiet. The cabin is very nicely done, very attractive from the beautiful wood floors and pebble shower floor, to the artwork on the walls. The kitchen has the basic necessities for cooking simple meals. With all the great restaurants in the area, we mostly ate out. The host was very available and responsive. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area and will recommend to friends.

This was a cute little cabin-like place in the woods with other cabins in close proximity but still felt very private. Well-stocked, bed was comfortable, and it was perfect for our weekend.

This is a great little property! It is so close to town but you would not know you were not way out in the country. It rained the entire time we were there but we made good use of the fireplace. So cozy! Full kitchen and the king bed was very comfortable. We come to Wimberley a lot. This has been one of my favorite properties.

This stay was so great. The cabin was clean and the prefect size. We loved how private it was and how close it was to town.

Perfect location to be near center of Wimberley and a short drive to family and football. We loved seeing the deer in front of the cabin☺

The cabin itself overall was nice, it just needs some work done to the inside! NO smart TV was a huge disappointment! Then, we had an issue getting the water to come on in the shower! Almost broke it, just trying to get water to come on! That definitely needs some work done to it! There is also a musky odor as you come inside the property! That needs to be addressed as well! Then, when we walked into the bathroom, there was a coffee mug sitting in the window sill that was one that had been left by the previous renters! Definitely need to do better with the house keeping!! 👏👏
Where it is located is very nice! Not very far at all from Gruene or the outlet mall in San Marcos! So that was a huge bonus!

Cabin was clean and cozy. Short drive to town. I would recommend this to friends and family.

Almost perfect. I would be hesitant to stay in the summer because the cabin didn’t get real cool. Showerhead needs decalcifying. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect! Great location.

Very nice spot, but the "included" internet service was only spotty at best and despite effort by staff, never worked well.

A quiet place about a mile from Wimberly proper. If you like hiking, you can walk in to Wimberly although you will be walking along busy roads that are not designed for hikers along the side. Everything was clean and maintained. The blinds in the front room were not solid, so in the evening people could see inside. However, I don't think we saw any other people on the property. We did get two visits from deer and one by a fox. All-in-all, a much better choice than another chain hotel. You'll get a better feel of rural Texas here than choices closer to Austin.

Easy to rent. Property was well stocked with the basic essentials, and clean. Beautiful and relaxing

The cabin was great. The place was clean, the bathroom was nice, and the bed was comfortable. When trying to use the fireplace, it made the room really smokey (yes the flue was open, probably a dirty chimney) so don't count on using the fireplace. Some more personal touches would have made this top notch, but this is a good little weekend getaway spot for a couple.

I really enjoyed this little cabin. I was in town so I could move my daughter out of her college dorm. It was nice to go back to the cabin and enjoy the quietness after a day of packing. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was good and in the kitchen was okay too. I didn't cook when I was there, just boiled some water to make my coffee pouover. I highly recommend.

Great Little Cabin in Quiet Area!
Cabin was welcoming and roomy for two. Furniture was comfortable, AC works great, and nice walk-in shower was a plus. We enjoyed morning coffee outside and seeing a deer family and mama fox along with numerous species of birds. Very quiet and relaxing stay!

Beautiful place to stay, the place was exactly like I pictured it. It’s really gorgeous I would stay here again and again.

Nice, but Not Secluded or Private
When we decide to rent cabins over renting a hotel, we do it with the expectation of having more privacy than a hotel would provide. The photos and description of the property online make it seem as though this is what you will get here, however, it is not. The cabins are very close together, and we couldn't even use the backyard area due to how exposed it was to the other cabins. Our own backyard is more private than this was. We also discovered that all of the window treatments throughout the cabin also do not provide any privacy. Passerby's could easily see fully inside our cabin, especially at night (they could see in even better than we could see out). This wouldn't have been a huge deal if the cabin had actually offered the seclusion we had hoped for.
On the bright side, the neighborhood and other cabin residents were all wonderfully quiet. The property is located a convenient distance from all the shops and a few beautiful trails. The cabin itself was clean and well maintained. I absolutley loved the interior design, as well as the attention to detail to provide all the basic housewares that you might need during your stay.

Disappointed and Will Not Return
The place was clean and adorable. Funny smell to it. Location is great. However, some information they need made clear on the listing page instead of in the check in email. "No parties or day guests are allowed on properties without prior authorization from an Owner or HCPL." Now we are older so the party part I understand but we have friends that live in Austin and they were coming down for the day to see us. I notified the company and was told that they should have been added as guests to begin with and that they would charge me $25 per person for VISITORS. And if I had not notified them we would have been evicted with a large fine added on to the bill. That is not professional at all so we just met in town for lunch. We have stayed in many places rented from vrbo and this is the first one we are completely disappointed with and will not reuse. Oh, and they give you 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and a few trash bags and tell you to buy more in town if needed. Left a bad taste in or mouth and will not return.
