Pleasant stay in a quirky boutique hotel
Breakfast was delicious. Beds were comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel is located in a busy part of the CBD.

IF THIS IS A 5 STAR HOTEL, BUNNINGS SAUSAGES ARE WAGYU STEAK
The bathtub was quite nice. Staff were pleasant enough and offered a late checkout, which I appreciated.
It gives me little pleasure to write this, but hopefully in doing so I will save someone else from wasting their hard earned money at this hotel. I booked in for the first time to QT Sydney last night - to what was supposedly a 5 star boutique hotel. I have stayed at many 5 star boutique hotels in Australia and abroad... and let me just say, this ain't it. First impressions: confusing and dimly lit entry with minimal signage and no welcome staff downstairs. Dingy, smelly hallways and rooms populated with cheap, aesthetically clashing and low calibre furnishings and decor. Arriving to my room was like arriving to a Tinder date only to discover your partner looks nothing like their online profile pics. Let's just say the only thing that should be getting 5 stars is the photographer who made this bargain basement quality place look kind of chic, eclectic and moody in the pics online. I know a lot of people rate this place highly, but I wonder if they have properly functioning eyes or noses. From my perspective, it was a real bait and switch. I had been looking forward to a great evening, and instead, to be honest I felt ripped off and out of sorts. The reality at QT is disappointing and depressing. Airconditioning is freezing, no matter what temperature you put it on. Bedheads and chairs that looked like leather and wool/linen blends in the online pics ended up being cheap PVC and polyester fabrics. My room stated clearly on my booking receipt that it would have "hardwood or parquet floors". It did not. It had ugly carpeted floors. Same kind of carpet as the hallway, which smelled like a casino full of chainsmokers had been hanging out there since the 60s. Old, stale, smokey, unpleasant. The kind of smell you might expect in a $79/ night crappy outback motel. Not a "5 star" CBD hotel. And so much for the supposed "views". My view was straight into the grey wall of an adjacent highrise.

Perfect city location.
Beautifully presented boutique hotel, location is amazing right in the heart of the CBD. The minibar at this hotel is second to none with premium options and uniqie offerings not found elsewhere. Highly recommend this hotel, staff were pleasent and rooms were clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Great stay for a romantic weekend away ❤️
Loved the location, loved the decor and the sexy vibe. Loved the Parlour and Gowings Bar &Grill restaurants on site. Beautiful boutique fit out. Comfy bed and even though it was located in the heart of the CBD we couldn’t hear any noises at all. I requested a lower pillow which they bought immediately to the room. Loved the Kevin Murphy products supplied in the bathroom.
Housekeeping could have done better at the daily clean- the bathroom sink and benchtop were still dirty. Booking.com mentioned bathrobe and slippers in room inclusions but there was none supplied in the room. Also QT mentioned in their advertising a Dyson hairdryer in all rooms but the one in my room was a Phillips.
