Location

Poor service waiting to be served coffee on deck in the morning took forever or drinks at poolside. Room given was noisy as was a thoroughfare for housekeeping as well as had random person trying to open our door at 3am.

Pleasant stay. Will certainly be back.

service au restaurant soir: longue attente 1h30 pour ne pas recevoir ce qui était commandé (pâtes à la sauce tomate) et m'entendre dire qu'il n'y avait plus de stock - je pouvais avoir des legumes si je voulais manger - carte menu sans prix pour plats et boissons (explication: les prix changent constamment - donc on n'imprime plus)- la plupart des plats n'était plus disponible (hors stock). Positif : Bonne réactivité du Manager on duty et de la PR.

This is my go to hotel for Bulawayo.

I last stayed here in 2000. It has had a lot of refurbishment since, and added extra facilities, although I didn't use any of them - gym, conference centre etc. Swimming pool was good. Staff were great. Location is a short taxi ride from the centre of Bulawayo - which is nice to walk around and explore. Aircon worked fine, they had butter at breakfast, whereas the Holiday Inn in Harare didn't. Stayed 2 separate nights, and was "upgraded" on the second night, although not sure that there was much difference.

It is a shame that they got rid of the Spur restaurant in their refurbishment as I remember this fondly.

The hotel accommodation was good, only negative thing is that. breakfast was too expensive

Superb stay.

Superb service from start to finish. Food was great an good choice for both dinner and breakfast. Live band in the bar very entertaining all night.

Poor customer service - stay away if you’re an international traveller as you’ll be disappointed

Clean facilities and easy check-in process.

Opaque booking and breakfast options. If you book a twin room for 2, breakfast is only included for 1 person. Be careful. They also sent two people to collect money for breakfast rather than typical process where you pay for something at reception/settle bill at check-out. This is regardless of the fact they had credit card details on file. Terrible customer service and attitude to guests has turned me off the Holiday Inn brand. If you’re used to good service I’d suggest you stay away!

It was good though

Staff didn’t want to sell breakfast at a price recommended by booking.com We had asked for close by rooms but we got rooms that were far apart. The room was extraordinarily warm. There was noise as though maintenance was ongoing. The shower tends to spill water to the floor.

The hotel and food was excellent, but food price is too high and that's the most disappointing fact

On the whole, our stay was lovely.

Breakfast was great. They went out of their way to make sure that our toddler had something to eat everyday.

Two things I didn't particularly like. One, the cleaning and the noise in the corridors start very early in the morning and seem to go on for the whole day. Was always surprised to see the cleaning staff still cleaning after 15h00 when they started at 7h00. I would ask that if the cleaning must start that early could they find a way to do it quietly having regard that some guests still appreciate the quiet, and it should not go on the whole day. There must a set time to end it. 2pm is reasonable. Two, for kids they seemed to only have one slide. Will be great if they erected a swing or two, and set up the trampoline they had on Christmas daily.

I think staff isnt enough cause they clean up to 6pm of which i believe by 3pm latest hotel should be clean with no cleaning materials on the corridors siince check in is 2pm n check out 10am
