Tsowa is a little gem hidden in the Zambezi National Park. We stayed for 2 nights and did not want to leave. 3 nights would have been better.
The location is perfect: far from the city, the calm is only disturbed by the sounds of animals.
The place is beautiful. We especially loved the campfire at nights. The tents are confortable and in front of the river. The found is delicious.
The staff is very kind and friendly, always availible and we had great discussions and learnt a lot from them (about the country, their culture, the national park, animals, ...). They will try their best to make your stay as perfect as possible. A big thank you to them.
Not much to say here, we loved every second of our stay.
The only thing we could point out is that the trees between the tent and the river (for the tent that we had) could have be trimmed a little so that we could have enjoyed a wider view on the river

I booked this trip myself and found it so hard to find good-quality reviews so I’ll try my best to help you out after our 2 night experience here as part of our honeymoon in June. I actually wasn’t even sure if the place existed, it seemed that mysterious. So please read on if you’re in a similar predicament.
OK, this is an expensive trip and you’ll probably be visiting as part of a wider tour around the much cheaper South Africa. So what are you paying for? An authentic and safe experience in the wild, miles from cities or towns, where nature lives freely and can be appreciated. This is not a game reserve, this is the real deal. Stanley, our park ranger, was outstanding. So knowledgable, well-spoken, funny, helpful and friendly. Our whole group loved him and he made the trip for us. We were treated to sunset AND sunrise cruises and game drives around the Zambezi National Park. You can also do safari walks and canoeing. They can also arrange day trips for you to the falls. They arranged an airport transfer for us from Vic Falls Airport which was fantastic. I would highly recommend this resort in Zimbabwe, if you have the funds.
We probably weren’t prepared for this, but it is glamping/fancy camping rather than resort luxury. You are genuinely staying in a tent, rather than the “tents” we stayed in in SA which were essentially 5-star hotel lodges with canvas roofs. This is a good thing but we probably weren’t prepared for how wild it is here. I think for accommodation as expensive as this, espresso coffee should be available. There was hot water and instant coffee available at the dining area of the main lodge, but for the price you’re paying, I don’t really think this was acceptable. The breakfast options are very limited and underwhelming, but lunch and dinner are excellent. This resort is only really kicking off and needs more people to come and experience it and provide valuable feedback. It will improve in years to come and I would so so recommend it now whilst it’s only being discovered. Just remember - you’re off the grid and in the wild, which is why you want to go to Africa in the first place!
