Beautiful villa in a stunning location

Very warm welcome from Maria on arrival. The Villa had everything we needed, the outdoor kitchen was exceptional. We will definitely be back to stay here. The photos on booking.com are accurate to the Villa. Lovely host, great facilities, amazing stay.

This is absolutely no fault of the hosts but there were many wasps in the swimming pool. This would put many people off using it, especially with young family. However, we were in the pool everyday to cool down and didn’t get stung once. Our stay was during a heatwave so the insects were there all day to rehydrate. It would have been more relaxing had they not been there or so many.

Amazing property with Maria as the sweetest host.

The outdoor kitchen and the pool is amazing. It is super quiet and you have a nice view over the hilly landscape. It is a perfect location to relax by the pool and enjoy your holiday.

Exceptional

The mountain views were amazing. The kids loved the pool. We saw swallows, bats and lots of cats! We would love to come back again. The house had everything we needed and Maria was a great host. It was also a great location to visit the beaches of West Crete.

Amazing 10 days

We have recently come back from a fantastic 10 days at Epimenidis house. The house, pool area and outside kitchen are great. Our children loved the pool which we paid to have heated and we really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area. Maria and her family were so welcoming and always on hand to help with any questions. Maria had left us treats when we arrived and we had some a lovely meal made by Maria’s mother in law as well as fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden. We hired a car and explored the local areas and beaches. Thank you Maria for a lovely stay 😀

Just amazing - a beautiful house with the best hostess we could imagine.

We travel a lot, however I have never had such a nice hostess and such a beautiful house. We have all been totally excited! The hostess was super friendly, has always served us little things and has even cooked for us on the first evening, because we arrived late. Really an insider tip and I can not imagine that this property can ever be topped again. Thank you very much and we will definitely be back!

Exceptional

The villa was lovely, great outside area perfect for al fresco dinners with a bbq & big table. The pool was such an added bonus. Spectacular views. It’s a 12min drive from the national road so really peaceful & quiet which we loved! Inside the villa was just perfect. Lovely decor, very comfortable & a well equipped kitchen. Great for couples or families. Hosts were brilliant, great communication & so generous bringing us delicious home cooked treats! Overall it was perfect for us.

Maria and her family were a great host, they heated the pool for us when the weather was not so warm, so the kids could swim even in the evening. She welcomed us warmly and we felt very much like at home. Beautiful experience, beautiful place. Thank you :)

This place was a perfect choice for a week, for a family with two kids.

Thank you Maria for your hospitality, even with physical distancing situation we felt very welcome from the very first minute. The fridge was supplied with water, some beer, fruits, cakes! The house is very nicely located if you want silence, in the middle of olive and orange trees orchards, having all comfort and facilities in one place, just for yourselves. Everything is like in the pictures or exceeds expectations: - The swimming pool is amazing and can be heated for extra charge, and I recommend doing that if it's autumn or spring. - The terrace with a nice grill place, oven, coal supplies for a couple of BBQs, all kinds of tools and a little fridge supplied with water (soon to be replaced with beer by me :)) - Playground was used by kids, we found a ball, an umbrella was offered by the host if we wanted to go to the beach Places to visit in the area, you'll find plenty of fliers and information at the property: - that place itself, there is a trail to a curch built on the property and the orchards all around the place - Deres/Nteres Horse Riding Center just a few km away, it is worth a visit, don't be discouraged by the poorly maintained buildings, the hosts there are very nice and speak very good English. - Iguana Beach is 20-30 min away, and maybe the best beach near Chania. - Chania city center and port would be a perfect dinner place. Don't miss the city view from the top, from Venizelos Graves. - A little bit further away is Manousakis Winery, if you don't get there at least buy their wines from a mini-market, I recommend Nostos Alexandra's and Blend. This was a perfect vacation, swimming pool, a cold beer, a nice BBQ, chill, relax, sun bathing, night gazing (btw, we caught full Moon during our stay)

Hornets were visiting the swimming pool area to drink water, but they were not aggressive. Our daughter is usually afraid of them, but this time she got used seeing them flying around. In the last few nights there was smoke in the entire valley, I didn't ask where it was coming from, but it was like organized smoking of either meat or cheese, and not wild fires. It wasn't a property issue per se.

Such warm and welcoming hosts - highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all!

The location was perfect for the peace and quiet that we wanted. On arrival we were greeted with a fridge full of provisions to see us through the first couple of days including some alcohol, ham, cheese, an enormous bowl of grapes and homemade cakes and treats - amazing! :-)

We really enjoyed everything about the villa, the only thing it could have benefited from in the kitchen was a dishwasher although as it was only the two of us and we ate out most of the time, it didn't really impact our stay :-)
