We hebben in deze villa een geweldige week beleefd!

Deze villa ligt wat hoger op de heuvel, waardoor het uitzicht echt prachtig is. Je kan vanaf de villa erg mooi de zonsopkomst en ondergang zien. Verder is het zwembad erg fijn. Diep genoeg om voorzichtig in te duiken en baantjes te trekken, maar ook voor een deel ondieper, waar je gemakkelijk kan staan. Verder is alles goed te bereiken met de taxi. Wanneer je het taxibedrijf uit Almyrida belt kan deze binnen 5 à 10 minuten voor je deur staan.

Eigenlijk heel weinig. Een minpunt was dat de waterstraal uit de douche iets te zacht was. Hierdoor moesten we om de beurt douchen in plaats van allemaal tegelijk. Op deze manier werkten de douches prima! Naar het strand is het wel een half uurtje lopen. Voor onze vriendengroep was dat goed te doen, maar met kleinere kinderen is het misschien verstandiger om een auto te huren.

Peaceful, quiet location, really great villa

Fantastic pool and outside area. Great open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with a further downstairs lounge/diner/kitchen and bedroom for the kids to take over. Two big bedrooms on the top floor with loads of storage. Very peaceful area, no pumping music, no neighbours, bliss! We got welcome food, drinks in the fridge and further cakes too. Toiletries provided which is a bonus and very friendly owners.

Definitely need a car to get to decent restaurants. You can feel the springs through the mattresses, nothing a decent mattress topper wouldn’t fix, the pillows were fantastic though. Great sun loungers but the toppers were not very comfy. Didn’t change the holiday one bit, just a couple of suggestions really to make it more luxe.

We had a fabulous time. We didn’t want to come home!

The property had beautiful views of the gorge and sea. It has plenty of space and is well looked after and clean. The people who look after the villa are fabulous. We really appreciated the home cooked snacks and all the provisions left for us when we arrived.

It is a bit of a walk to Almyrida so would advise a car. Plaka, however, is walkable and has nice restaurants.

It was everything we could have hoped for and more. A stunning property.

The location was superb. It had fabulous views over the valley and to the sea beyond.

Everything about the property was superb. It was quite a steep hike down to the nearest shop and a 20 minute walk to the bustling seaside town of Almyrida. As an older person it meant driving to the village each evening.

Stunning views and pool in spacious villa

Very nice to meet the hosts, who showed us around the spacious villa, chatted about what was closeby to visit, and provided us with a delicious and very welcome greek meal with a bottle of wine. On cleaning days, a cake or homemade pastry would be left which was a lovely surprise! Small toiletries were provided in each bathroom which was a nice touch. Air conditioning in each room was very much needed after spending time outside in the 34-degree heat of the day. The infinity pool is gorgeous with stunning views out to sea, and the huge mountain to the side of the property. There is a beautiful peach tree outside the kitchen with ripe juicy peaches you can pick for breakfast or as a snack. Plaka village is walkable (about a kilometre) and we can recommend Elpis and Takis tavernas with brilliant food and service. Almyrida village is just over 2km walk away with more bars, tavernas, shops and the beach. Would recommend renting a car to visit Chania (45mins drive) and further afield like Lake Kournas.

TV volume needs to be adjusted as was too low to hear. The basement could do with modernising and brighter lighting in bathroom.

Wonderful view and superb villa

A wonderful view, pool and garden. We really loved this spacious villa. All the little extras were there. Toiletries, hairdryer, etc. We were treated with a delicious meal left for us on arrival and muffins when they came to clean. How lovely and generous. All problems quickly answered and solved? Recommend.

TV disappointing as HTMI slots didn't work. Washing machine failed but they are replacing it. Lots of stairs. Overall though a fantastic villa.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. Awesome outdoor area with amazing infinity pool. Very nice owners.

The villa is the perfect spot to spend your vacation in a calm place with all amenities one needs

The villa is beautifully located in the hills above Plaka and was prepared perfectly for us - we arrived pretty late, which was not a problem at all, our host even prepared a delicious dinner for us and prepared breakfast for the next day. The villa offers everything one needs - a fully equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms and a fantastic pool area with a stunning view over the ocean. Actually, there is nothing we missed, we enjoyed every minute.

Exceptional

The villa is set in the most stunning of locations, the view across the sea was something that you would never get tired of. The arrival was simple with the host on hand to explain where everything was, the villa was stocked with the essentials plus some lovely local food and wine.

A perfect week long break in a truly wonderful Villa

A beautiful Villa with wonderful views. Any visitor will be impressed with the quality of all the rooms and the amenities provided. The swimming pool and sunbathing area mean that and visitor will be disinclined to use the nearby Almyrida beach. The hospitality shown by the owners goes beyond what we would regards as normal customer service, a meal provided for us as we were arriving late and basic provisions to help settle in. A huge thank you to all of you who made our visit, and the celebration of my wife's 50th Birthday so special.
