Very comfortable room. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff very friendly and welcoming

We had a twin room which was a good size, clean and well furnished. They had supplied bottled water which was well received as it had been a long hot day when we arrived. The bathroom and shower were a good size and nice and clean.
There was a good selection for breakfast and the full cooked was lovely. Evening meals were well prepared and very tasty. All of the staff in the pub were very friendly and polite.
The real ale in the bar was good too.

lovely room, very spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. One of our party has a food allergy and the staff and in particular the chef made sure i was catered for.
Staff very friendly, parking good, location perfect, very quiet , good walks in surrounding area. Pub / Bar area busy and lively in the evening, good atmosphere.
Nothing, everything was great, more than matched our expectations.

Very homely and welcoming and amazing food. Staff were fab. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
The only reason I didn’t give it the full stars was because our bedrooms were on the upper floor which was challenging for our elderly dog as there were so many stairs for her to tackle. Not the venues fault but might me worth them mentioning it in their blurb related to their dog friendly rooms.

Spacious in all areas, warm environment.
Nothing!

Lovely decor and the location was beautiful. Room was very well presented on arrival.
It was very hot and the window didn't allow for air flow. The weather was particularly hot but still no option for making it cooler.

Everything! Comfort, food, service, friendliness, facilities. Unable to fault anything.

Beautiful property, with very friendly staff. A big group of us stayed here for a wedding and we were well accommodated, including for young baby!
Nothing, it was all fab!

breakfast was a bit bland

The breakfast was very good and satisfying. Staff were very friendly and polite. The room was very nicely decorated and was very clean and comfortable.
We were very satisfied with the property

Room was small, but comfortable. Tea making, hair-dryer and shampoo, etc in the bathroom were good.
Full English breakfast was perhaps not as full as I would have liked.

Room was good size. Dinner: sea trout main course was very good.
Dinner starter: salmon & prawn cocktail spoilt by being smothered with dry chilli biscuits.
Breakfast: The cooked breakfast itself was OK, but the meal as a whole was poor. The coffee was awful, even instant coffee would have been better. Tea wasn't a viable option because tea made with hot but not boiling water from a thermos flask just doesn't work. No fresh fruit. No side plate to put toast on. Asked for extra toast which seemed to take forever to arrive. Breakfast items being cleared away 15 minutes before end of breakfast period. Yes we were asked if we wanted anything else before the serving table was cleared but it does not make for a peaceful breakfast.

Lovely large room excellent food
The electric plugs in the room were not great

The Room was pleasant, clean and had a lovely view. the Tea and coffee supplied was exceptional. Breakfast was superb.

It was all excellent except minor things.
Could have done with blackout lining to bedroom window blinds as strong Spring sunshine, bouncing off white walls, at 5am wasn't conducive to sleep.
Any guest with advancing waistline and diminishing agility might have found getting into and out of the shower a challenge!!!

Great location. Friendly staff. Great evening meals.
Loud talking one night and then loud snoring the next night from the room next to us. Not a complaint, just our experience on this particular occasion. It wouldn't prevent me choosing to stay here again.

Room very clean and comfortable nice shower and toiletries. View from room was a roof wall. Did get a good price for the room. Evening meal was good some bits were better than others. Breakfast was very nice good choice of cereal and toast and then a nice cooked breakfast.

Friendly staff
Breakfast was poor i had avocado and poached egg i barely had a spoonful of avocado and the egg was thrown on no water available. whilst the staff were very friendly some had a poor understanding of English and it was difficult to communicate our needs especially at breakfast. Our room was not made over, which is no big thing but after a long day it would be nice to have come back to a tidy bed etc.
4.4
dog friendly. food was very good and staff very pleasant
our room was next to the fire door to the other rooms so very noisy when other guests returned to their rooms

The Bathroom and the Food in the Restaurant
The low Ceiling angles in the bedroom - I banged my head 3 times!

second time of visiting. we took our two dogs and although some rooms were undergoing refurbishment there was minor disruption and staff all welcoming and polite. Will definitely be revisiting.

Rural location, lots of history. Plenty of parking.
Room in the loft with dormer window, leading to massive loss of headroom. The Fox once had a reputation for good food and ale. Evening meal was satisfactory but not brilliant. Over-priced. A little disappointed with breakfast quality and choices. Partner asked for toast to have with butter and marmalade, one slice! No continental breakfast, only Dorset Cereals. Great if you have a nut allergy, not.

Excellent breakfast.
