The location is amazing. The view is also superb. It is close to the heart of the town which has good access to restos and shops. It is right at the harbour as well. The room is very spacious. It has availabe hot and cold water 24/7. The owner lent us some of his tools. There is a hair dryer. Some toiletries were provided. There are kitchen tools , fridge and microwave. There is a good working ceiling fan.
For the price, I guess we were expecting more. The house needs a little update and cleaning. The toilet drainage could use a little bit of cleaning. The kitchen drawers and toilet sink had droppings ( cockroach or rat?) . The bed that was supposed to be a queen size were just two beds put side by side and you can feel the springs poking you sometimes. The clothes hanging has rust and I think corrosion cannot be avoided in the area so using nonmetal material would be a better option.

Location is great, air con didn't cool the room, fan really noisy. Kracken bar next door great
I have stayed many times at the Boathouse
Be great if the fridge was on and some cold water was supplied as we were informed not to drink the tap water (cleaning teeth)
Be good to book with the owners
Stray dogs are now a real problem on all roads around Neiafu, need to carry a stick these days

Location was excellent. The studio appeared to have been recently been painted
The studio smelt damp. The toilet leaked fresh water regularly, every time you used the toilet. The shower drain hole didn't flow/empty properly causing water build up. Room change didn't happen at all during our 6 night stay.

ein bisschen TLC wäre gut (duschkopf, eventuell haken und eine wäscheleine), die gasflasche für warmes wasser war leer

Very convenient to town and TradeWinds dock. Not fancy but clean with a nice shaded balcony looking over the bay. Good price.

Location (very central but also noisy at night)
Balcony
Staff at Tropicana is helpfull and friendly (food is also good there)
Car rental was very convinient
Cleaning was awefull (when I told the staff they came right away. I told them about the food in fridge (from the previous guest like a cut onion) and the hairs in the sink and shower, the fly pupas in the fridge, ... and they cleaned that but just the rough stuff. They still didnt clean the faucet or sink and thats just the basic cleaning. I am not even mentioning the dust and cobwebs (wich I can live with but it just shows the bad hygiene).
Bed (you roll to the middle)
There were cockroaches, we killed multiple

I arrived at the apartment and did not know beforehand that there was no reception area so walked around trying to find it. Eventually called the number on the sign and the person who answered was actually quite rude when I mentioned I had only booked for one night. They spent a while complaining about one night bookings from booking.com even if it was not my fault. The property owner who let me into the room was actually friendly and professional though. Apartment was ok with beautiful view but a bit musty smelling as if hadn't been aired in a while in rainy weather. A one day supply of tea coffee and milk would have been nice as well

My one room apartment with ensuite met my needs perfectly - it was well appointed with a covered deck that has an expansive view of the beautiful harbour and is just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Vava'u's main town, Neiafu. Owner Shane was a delight to deal with. I felt it was value for money and will be where I stay next time I come to Vava'u.

Lovely place! The view from the deck is gorgeous! Pretty good location with nearby ATMs, shops, dive shops and Café. There are kayaks and snorkeling equipment that can be easily rented from the nearby tropicano cafe for extra entertainment. Aircon runs well and shower is nice and warm. I missed the whale season but had a peaceful stay, thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The owner Shane is kind, generous and responsive! I even got a lift to the airport for my flight in the morning (thank you so much for that :)
Due to the flight schedule, I had to check out a night early and Shane even got me a refund for that.
A very happy customer :)

The unbeatable view and the location close to Restaurants and harbor.
There was no WiFi altough this was prominently mentioned on booking .com. Excuses due to the situation after Tsunami and Hunga Tonga eruption I can understand completly but that should be mentioned latest in an Email after booking. Luckily there were two spots in town with WiFi.

Loved the location and the air conditioning in every bedroom. It was clean although, we bought a broom to keep it clean. The kitchen was small but had all the necessities.
We ran out toilet paper. There was a mix up over the cleaning day so there didn't end up being a cleaning day. You'll want to check in at cafe Tropicana before arriving at the boat house

Good location within walking distance to town!
It was kinda hard to find the office to get the key.

Great view, great staff, facilities were good and the room was super comfy.
Free WiFi could be a little more consistent. Should include complimentary use of kayaks, that would be awesome.

Air con was perfect and no mosquitos or insects in the room. Slept like a baby at night.
