Food excellent. Great new menu Staff professional and friendly. Amazing cocktails,
A brilliant stop over after walking around Chatsworth all day..
Bathroom while perfectly serviceable was a little tired and bath was old and chipped. Bathroom door needed replacing as was rotting at the bottom.

The location was ideal for Chatsworth and in a pleasent setting by the river.
Staff although lovely and friendly - knew nothing. Every question required clarification from another member of staff. To be fair the menu had just changed but basic intolerences need to be covered in this day and age. Similarly walks published in room literature - no staff could tell me the start points

The breakfast was probably the highlight
The bed was small and uncomfortable. The room was too hot with one fan between a family room so not all could benefit. The food was over priced for the quality.

Being on the ground floor you could hear customers above early in the morning, so have for a room in the second floor

Staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Lovely food and excellent location to Chatsworth and surrounding areas. Lovely little welcome and decorative touches in the room. Very dog friendly.
Room was a little small for 2 of us and the dog but were only there to sleep in it so was not really an issue.

Very good food. We had dinner and breakfast here which was great.
Check in is actually at 15:00, not 14:00 as stated here. We had to sit in the bar for over an hour until the room was ready

Very friendly staff with a fabulous dining room and fantastic food.
Very small car park, ground floor room with one window facing a brick wall the other obscured as it faced the kitchen. Bathroom decor showed signs of wear & tear.

Everything about the Devenshire is lovely. The location. The proximity to other public houses, chatsworth, scenery etc. it’s just a gorgeous little experience. The value for money is great. Breakfast was 10/10 and the service and feel is just lovely. Cannot recommend this little place (or baslow) enough.
There is nothing not to like. It’s perfect.

Small double room was equipped with a very comfortable bed, excellent pillows, fluffy towels, a hospitality tray, two bottles of local ale. The bathroom was smart and clean. Quiet at night. Staff very helpful at check-in, breakfast and checkout. Beautiful comfortable dining rotunda. A very good pub worthy of hotel status.
Pressure in the shower was on the low side, a minor issue
