Breakfast included in the booking was very useful. Although the selection was extensive, it did weigh very heavily towards sweet items. Including some more savoury options would round it out well.
The rooms were comfortable, the bathroom facilities well kept and were serviced well, even in the afternoon when we missed the morning round.
The location is very quiet and pleasant being amongst the botanic gardens and golf club with the beach just a short walk away.
The pool was heated and clean as was the spa.
Staff were friendly and any requests eg additional towels were met efficiently.
The shower did fluctuate hot and cold making it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature.

The room was clean and tidy, very nice bathroom and space to put clothes and personal effects.
It was very complex to navigate and I felt lost at times. I also didn’t like that some of the facilities closed early. The bar and pool was only open until 8pm which might not attract as many guests.

The location is great, the price is definitely value for money, the continental breakfast was above expectations, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
I wish the rooms had a microwave as I arrived late and would have loved to have heated up some dinner rather than go out or arrange delivery. With the time of night I arrived, I would have loved to have eaten, showered, bed.

Beautiful setting in tranquil bushland. Spacious gardens in a courtyard with a lovely pool area. Excellent breakfast included. Couldn’t ask for more.
Nothing.

Room was clean and modern. Perfectly located within walking distance from the Geelong Botanical Garden. Bonus is free coffee and tea available throughout the day!
Breakfast could have been improved with more variety - a lot of varieties of bread and toasts but would love to see more fruits/salads.

The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and a bonus bathtub which we were very grateful for. The location is right inside the Botanical Gardens which is very quiet and quite restful.
The room was very difficult to find in the dark. Our wing wasn’t labelled as described by the staff member, who told us we were in Waratah wing, but actually we were in Acacia. We were able to access the room through Waratah wing but only after about half an hour of walking around trying to find it. After a long work day and a big drive this wasn’t ideal. The lighting around the complex is terrible and the signage is not clear. The foyers in the accommodation area are run down like a uni lodge, and there is a kid on a dirt bike who drives around the gardens at high speed in the wee hours, not the fault of the premises but it woke us up a few times. Once we found the room it was fine. The restaurant isn’t open yet and it’s a bit of a drive to get food.

The property is set in a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were good. It’s the best nights sleep away from home that I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately the timing of my stay meant I couldn’t enjoy the breakfast, which was part of the reason I chose this hotel. They did give me a continental style breakfast but it wasn’t really my cup of tea.

Lovely updated ensuite, very comfortable bed. Quiet location but still close to Geelong CBD. Very helpful, friendly staff. Lovely, lounge bar type area. Complimentary breakfast provided while kitchen was closed during transfer of ownership.

The range of food at the buffet breakfast was incredible, with the biggest selection of carbs I've ever seen at a hotel. I loved that the ceiling of our room was very high, as it made the room feel a lot more spacious yet still cozy. We also had a good time outside of our room; the pool tables up on the loft next to the reception offered unlimited play. Overall, I think this place is great value for money and would definitely recommend it.
I think the place can benefit from a gym and a new bartender; Sadly the cocktails weren't great, my mojito had chopped/muddled mint, which affected the taste and texture of the drink. I think giving the mint leaves a slap and keeping it then whole is enough to extract their flavour. The fact they didn't have a dessert menu also surprised me, as they offered restaurant-style meals.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Nicely finished throughout, particularly the bathroom. We only stayed one night, but could easily have stayed the whole weekend. Beautiful grounds.
We arrived quite late and it was little tricky to locate because it was a very dark night and there weren't any streetlights. Also, there was a strong and rather disgusting smell in the corridor as we walked through to get to the room. It didn't permeate past that one area, however, and there was no trace of it by the time we got to the door of the room.

The location, staff and breakfast were 10/10, definitely recommended staying here
Hard to say, probably the only negative would be the car parking

It’s well located in Geelong with a short walk to the City and foreshore. Being in the Geelong Central Park and botanic gardens, it is like an oasis within the bush. Facilities and rooms were excellent, with staff always obliging. The pool was also heated, lovely!! And the price was really competitive. We will return.

Room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast variety was excellent. nice and quiet to allow for a peaceful nights sleep.
Outside of facility needs to be cleaned up, access roads around facility need repair and gardens to be freshened up. The outside of building looks dated and screens damaged, it does not give a good first impression.

What a find, tucked away in the middle Parklands, this little resort.
Staff were wonderful, absolute value for money, with a delicious breakfast thrown in.
I will be back

Very helpful staff at reception, Jason and Lauren, both very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Bed very comfortable and a very good shower. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely surroundings and plenty of things to do with the facilities available.
Close to Geelong, but away just enough not to be in the hustle and bustle. We liked it enough to book another night before we left. We left a couple of items in the room and we had both a follow up phone call and email about it. Very efficient!
Perhaps a slightly larger room.

Beautiful location. Quiet and pretty surrounds
walls paper thin. couple next door to us were obviously ill and could hear them coughing and vomiting all night.
Also no blankets in our room so had to sleep with heating on.

The resort like facilities were quite nice and garden setting was pretty. Happy hour cocktails every evening was a godsend.
We were given a room where the hot and cold taps were wrongly marked. This is a safety risk and an inconvenience because I had a cold shower before I twigged. Unbelievably the staff knew about the problem before they allocated the room. The location is also a bit distant if you don’t have a car.

Beautiful location, peaceful and private surrounded by natural bush setting.
Comfortable bed , quiet relaxing room and lovely bar / lounge area with bar open nightly.
Stunning pool and spa ,unfortunately too cold for us to utilise.
Staff incredible, friendly, professional and very accommodating to requests.
Delicious buffet continental breakfast included in the room price .
Short walk to Geelong’s beautiful botanical gardens and Eastern Beach.
Highly to, won’t disappoint

The lady on reception was very friendly and made sure I knew all about the facilities and amenities. We checked in early to attend a funeral locally and that was not a problem. The next day she remembered me and asked how the previous day went. She was great. I also want to thank the young girl at the bar. As the restaurant was closed and we wanted to order in she helped me with the local pizza shop. On delivery, offered plates serviettes water etc. We could not have asked for more, she made the stay even better. Breakfast was outstanding. The selection fantastic and really enjoyable.
Leaving. We had breakfast with family who came down from Queensland for the funeral and booked Eden Oak also. It was so relaxing we could have stayed longer if we only had the time.

Rooms were very clean, pleasing aesthetic and décor. Very 60's vibe. Breakfast was very good. Mini Bar items free of charge were appreciated. Very nice location near the botanic garden and golf course and close to centre of town and esplanade.
I wish there was a heat light in the bathroom.
My husband fell and slipped in the dark in the undercover parking. Fell hard and slid down a steep asphalt slope, hurting his elbow, hip, knee and grazed his stomach. Better lighting or a barrier in this spot would be recommended.

Eden Oak is located among trees and the Botanical Gardens which is very peaceful. No other traffic passes within ear shot.
Two billiard tables and a ping pong table to keep you occupied. Love the 70's vibe and the bar that separates the dining and activities areas.
I wouldn't recommend Eden Oak if you don't have a vehicle as the accommodation is quite a distance from the foreshore where all the restaurants are. A long walk back in the dark especially in winter, summer might be a little better. Breakfast is also just full of breads and pastries and cereal. No eggs, bacon, sausages or any form of protein. Not good if you are watching your sugar intake. The pool is really more like a small lagoon, not really large enough for the summer months.

The staff were brilliant to deal with. The woman who checked me in was particularly lovely.
The room had bad phone reception. I’m with Telstra and had issues with being able to call out. I also had bad wifi both from the hotel and my hotspot. This is could be due to the companies security level on unidentified wifi but normally isn’t an issue on hotspot from my phone.

could use a few more options to eat - but food delicious. :)

It was much better than expected. A true resort with a look that the website just does not do it justice.. Staff were amazing..and greeted us with genuine attentiveness and free smiles.
Will definitely stay there again.
