very little
Paid London high price for room and charged for breakfast. Told by staff inclusive rate had been withdrawn although it still shows on website. Almost £200 per night is outrageous for a pub room. Hotel facilities non-existent.

Well kept
Slow lift

Good food served promptly. Very comfortable beds and bedrooms. A nice airy place to eat dinner etc. Attentive staff. Free parking. Good bathrooms
They refused to play England playing in the Euros in their public space, and wanted to charge us for a private area to do so.

Second stay here. Can’t fault it. Great location, beautiful building, beautifully lit bar and well decorated throughout.

Comfortable rooms and great staff
Would like more vegan options in the restaurant as presently it’s very limited.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our time here. The room was cosy and welcoming. The decor was beautiful, and we liked the 'extra homely touches'. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower. The whole property and surrounding area is grand. There is a lift for luggage and a supermarket across the road. Highly recommend this property.
Nothing, it was all great.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions and never disappoints. The staff are always very helpful & pleasant. Rooms are amazing very spacious, clean & lovely. You will not be disappointed. Also offer free parking in Poundbury which is very convenient.
Nothing everything was perfect.

Breakfast had a good choice and the young lady who greeted and served us was lovely. The bedroom was large and well-furnished. Very comfortable bed. Triple aspect room with views over roofs to the countryside. Dinner had a good choice and was served by a very pleasant young man.
On one of the two mornings, breakfast was a very long wait. Think there was an issue in the kitchen. I had asked for a high, quiet bedroom. Ours was on the 3rd of 4 floors with a rear outlook. Unfortunately, the kitchen extractor was below one of our windows and the bottle bank also. The refuse truck arrived below our window at 7.15am. It was an adjoining room and there was a family in the next room, so a lot of noise carried through the door. The quality of the toilet tissue was very poor.

Position excellent, decor pleasing, food good.
Bed too short (solid footboard) for 6'4" husband. Only hanging space, no shelves. Facilities for disabled made it inconvenient eg incredibly small washbasin with shelf over, seat in the way of the shower.

The hotel is very central and the staff were helpful - Poundbury is great with plenty of free parking.
Bathroom very stark, black and white... needs more personalisation and modernisation..

Great design
Our only issue was the bed the mattress was hard. It described the mattress as being the best in the world !!

Stylish with quirks and nice touches like blue night light in the toilet
Occupants of Room 5 talking loud until 1.30am!!

Service was exceptional . The building was very impressive. Location was perfect for our needs .

Staff were smiling, happy, polite and helpful. Water and biscuits every day. Very good breakfasts. Modern rooms. TV was digital with BBC iPlayer. End corner room had two lovely windows with views towards Maiden Castle.

We had lived in Poundbury and watched the Duchess of Cornwall being built. Staying there we realised what a lovely building it was inside as well, especially the stunning breakfast room/restaurant. The bedroom was large and very comfortable, the bathroom a good size although the ornate shower controls were beyond us! The staff were responsive and sociable. The free car parking outside is a bonus.
The shower was ornate and awkward when trying to find the right setting. Breakfast was not so good as the emphasis seemed to be on the generous cooked element which we don’t generally have. We went into breakfast at 9.15a.m, not late for a Sunday morning. They had run out of the small packets of Fruit and Fibre type muesli to put in the tiny cereal bowls, there were about four tiny Danish pastries left, only cow’s milk on the table… compared to the Premier Inn breakfast table it was pathetic. Given the number of people using non dairy like Rude Health or other oat type drinks, sheeps yoghurt or Alpro these days, I thought a place like this would have been more aware (especially given King Charles is veggie for 3 or 4 days a week!).

Generally good and nice choices. One morning the eggs were muddled. Another the scrambled we asked for was like hard boiled egg chopped, so disappointed.
As above. The coffee was slow to be replenished.
4.5
The food was good, service polite and friendly but slow and disorganised. If the staff do not write down orders they get in a muddle.
The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard. The shower room was awkward
When we went to pay we had been charged for three nights not two, we were glad we checked our bill carefully.

Absolutely everything, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room exceeded our expectations, the breakfast was lovely , the whole room experience was so good we have booked to stay for Christmas, but I’m sure we’ll be back a few times before then.

The beds were comfortable, rooms good temperature and great shower.
The cooked breakfast was not good.

Lovely, quirky room with a lot of interesting touches. Large bed. Quiet room. Very nice bar area. Staff very helpful and polite.
Bathroom could have been cleaner.
4.5
Nice area, pleasant and helpful staff, very good food and a good location to be able to explore Weymouth and surrounding areas
The double bed we requested was just 2 single beds pushed together with a zip connected mattress, quite uncomfortable if you got too close to the middle of the bed.

Most of all the staff were fabulous. They could not have done more to meet every need.
It was a bit pricey (we had three rooms)

When we first walked the place was buzzing, beautifully decorated and a nice warm vibe.
Our room was very comfortable and lots of little personal touches.
The staff were all so smiley and friendly.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
