Location is fantastic, right on the edge of the old town with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Room was large and clean and airy, shared toilets and showers were very clean. Shared kitchen had everything you need, large fridge freezer, cooker, toaster and microwave, with plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Upstairs was a nice terrace (shame the bar wasn't open). Staff were really good, very helpful and friendly, and even stayed late to check us in as our bus was WAY later than advertised. Would definitely stay again.
The bar wasn't open 😉

This hostel was clean and the rooms were large and comfortable. The towels that were included were the best! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hostel!

I liked that I was able to park right outside the property, since the one spot where you can park happened to clear as I was heading out for a walk with my husband.
The room was dirty but had clean sheets. There was a piece of a condom wrapper on the floor as well as a hairball. The kind of tile flooring creates grooves which trap a lot of dirt i guess. There is NO AC/HEATING. It was a last minute booking and relatively cheap. The employee behind the counter wasn’t as friendly as you’d expect somebody in the hospitality industry, especially when their whole building has walls covered in text talking about happiness. It was very ironic. When checking out, I stood in front of the counter in the lobby as I waited for my husband to use the restroom, and the employee expected me to come up to him sitting down on a couch a few steps away from me and let him know I was ready to check out. It was until my husband walked up to me that another employee let me know that we could just drop off the keys on the counter. she was friendly.

I had the private room upstairs with a private patio. Quiet in the evenings with a cool breeze.
Bathroom was downstairs. The hostel is a little run down, but is acceptable for a short stay.

Lovely rooftop and a great shower. Liked that the beds had their own curtains and a ceiling fan. Staff were lovely - big shout out to Jorge, so friendly and chatty (in English and Spanish!)
Not necessarily loads of people to hang out with but I don’t think you will find this anywhere in San Luis (and Jorge makes up for this hahah)

A nice hippie-style hostel with friendly and relaxed atmosphere and colourful images painted on walls. Good location, quiet and not far from the centre. There is a washing machine and you can hang and dry your clothes on a lovely garden terrace.

Nice old building adapted for a hostel, right in downtown San Luis Potosí.

great location, really nice staff, great value
a little noisy, but after 11pm it dies down.

Staff is super great. The hostal is located perfectly in the center but in a quiet street. Nice little breakfast to start the day

The young woman working at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you!

There is a nice atmosphere in the hostel due to the friendly staff.
The beds weren't very comfortable.

It’s small, quiet, excellent location. There’s a washing machine, we’ll stocked kitchen, and a roof top terrace. I love that there are curtains on the beds. Breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate. The price is good.

This hostel has a central location, close to Alameda from where you can take any local bus. The intercity bus station is 40 minutes of walk or 10 minutes by bus away. The street is quiet, but if other guests are noisy, the rooms have zero sound isolation. Wifi worked well for me. The bed was comfy, but the pillow was thin, so I had to use my own.
Free breakfast was good enough (bread, coffee, cereals)
The cleanliness of common areas leaves a lot to desire. There were issues with water (sometimes I opened the tap to wash my hands and there was nothing).
The other door code changes daily at 11:00 am, so every day you go out in the morning you have troubles getting back in if the reception is not occupied.
In my room there was no clothes hooks or hangers.

The staff was really enjoyable and friendly. They made is feel welcome quite quickly. The beds in the bedroom were private with curtains.
The hostel is well located as we were able to walk everywhere.
The noise at night. The walls are paper thin so if anyone is moving or talking near your room, you can hear everything. The noise on the street wasn't bad at all.

Beautiful terrace to spend time with the other guests, very chilled hostel! The staff was great and gave me a lot of information about the city and the surroundings, would definitely stay again!
Everything good!

The hostel is great and right in the historic centre of San Luis Potosí. Staff are excellent and very helpful. They made us feel right at home. Great rooftop terrace. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook. Drinking water is available. There are plenty of common areas to meet other travellers.
While quiet hours are enforced downstairs where the dorms are, people are allowed to stay in the upstairs common room and on the rooftop terrace for as long as they like. Depending on the people this could possibly cause a problem if you are in a private room upstairs and a light sleeper.

The male Mexican receptionist was wonderful, full of tips, big smile, helpful and kind.
The location was central.
The WIFI worked most of the time.
The free breakfast but not vegan milk.
The hot water in the shower.
The big terrace
The other volunteers/receptionists had no idea of customer service. Negative attitude, reckless and out of place comments. Not even a "goodbye", "have a nice trip" when checking out....Customer service skills and common sense highly needed for them!
The volunteers have the priority of sleeping in the beds below (in the bunk beds) while the paying customer has to struggle to go up to reach the top beds. Huge space between the bed and the wall, if you move too much you fall and the stairs are against the wall....never saw such a thing!
They kept the door of the dorm open so you can hear every conversation at the table where breakfast is served, no privacy/silence!
There was a huge French crowd and hippies staying here, not the hostel's fault of course but just saying....
At times the bathrooms were disgusting!
A renovation of furniture and proper mural paintings would be advisable.

The staff was helpful, nice breakfast and coffee, good location.
The room was very dark, showers and toilets outside of the room.
