Cheap and good value

Very close to the seafront

Grubby, poor water pressure, door lock screws all hanging out. corridors and staircases smelled of tobacco smoke

Really enjoyed our stay

Great value for money, comfy beds and friendly staff

The shower sometimes wouldn't work and the tap in the sink kept dripping

Lovely staff. Great location and on a budget.

the room was great, the bed was so comfy. the bed linen pristine

there was nothing I didn't really like. Its a pub, and it's on the main street of a holiday town. it's a bit noisy, but that adds to the experience

Staff friendly and so helpful.

Mattress wasn't to my preference but that didn't ruin my sleep. Just a personal choice.

Room for improvement!

The location was great, and there was plenty of coffee and milk for the room

Check-in is at the bar, so it's not ideal with luggage, and when it's busy Also if you have any issues like lights going out etc you would have to go into a loud and busy bar to ask for assistance Cleanliness is not great marks on the wall hairs on bed etc Needs updating, Paint peeling And very low water preaching in the shower

We had amazing time at The tides Inn we will be backxx

We very much liked the location on how one it was to the beach and many places to eat and drink xx

I did struggle with all the stairs but then it did do my knees some good.

Very good

Room was very clean. Very reasonably priced. All staff including owner were helpful and friendly. Location to town facilities was spot on.

No en suite. Toilets down the corridor, but we knew that when we booked, and having no en suite was reflected in the price, so we were OK with it.

The room was as advertised and good value for money. Ideal for a short stay.

The room was as described. Very clean, comfortable, good shower, ample tea and coffee facilities and quiet.

Good value, perfect for my short family stay

Fantastic central location and two mins to the beach. Not as noisy from the pub as I expected as the rooms are two floors above. Clean sheets and fluffy towels, comfortable beds, own shower, good value, coffee and biscuits, and helpful and kind staff :)

TV is tricky to use. Check the aerial is in, and use Source to set to D(digital)TV. Shared toilets are a pain but not a dealbreaker. There’s noise from a generator outside that can be annoying at night for sensitive sleepers.

Disappointed Could do better

Staff helpful. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Well situated for seafront ,town and railway station. Room was quite even though pub was very busy and noisy

Paid extra for en suite be t shower was very weak. Damp behind sofa. Curtains needed fitting properly. Paint on ceiling of en suite starting to peel and mastic at back of sink has gone black. Nothing major just a lot of minor things that need looking at.

No breakfast no wardrobe to put your cloths away lots of stairs to climb .to get to the room no toilet in the room . The land Lord was not very helpful . Will not be going back hear again . Two very dissatisfied people

Exceptional

The lovely staff at The Tides Inn are amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay been there 2 times and have planned our 3rd trip already for this year 2023. They allow you to take takeout food into the bar and eat there. They care so much about their people it feels like home.

The stairs but that cant be helped,but view of the sea made it all worthwhile.

A cheap and chearful place

The staff where friendly. And considering we were situated on the top of a busy pub on a Saturday night it was quieter than expected in the room.the room was nice and clean and overall it was a pleasent stay with comfortable beds.

The shower in the family room is just a glass shower cubical in the corner of the room with no privacy. Could do will having a wall or something put up and the pressure in the shower was too low. Nothing we couldnt manage to work around though.

it was an okay stay.

Staff were very nice and helpful, the location was amazing, access to a lot of places and only in walking distance, room was very clean and tidy, overall an okay stay, I liked that we had our own toilet.

There was no pressure on the shower, the mattress was bigger than the bed frames, curtains were falling off it’s hinges.

Exceptionally clean,room very tired mismatch of shabby furniture,plenty of tea and coffee with extras available,great location for sea front

The room stunk of cigarette smoke coming from within the building it was choaking at times had to go and buy some air freshner, Did not use bar as did not look welcoming,

I would definitely stay here again as it was very good value for money.

great location, nice and clean, very comfy bed I had two great nights sleep, plenty of tea and coffee. nice staff and a friendly pub.

only small gripes was that we couldn’t get tv to work and although the shower was lovely and warm it was only on half flow.

Room for improvement

The location was brilliant and view from the corner window

No greeting as we walked in; the woman just said you have to pay £20 more on arrival. They had plenty of opportunity to email me and let me know this and I personally messaged to say my daughter and two dogs would be staying but they decided to still charge extra. The music from the bar downstairs was rather loud. The light in our bathroom didn’t work; not ideal when there was no window so basically you were in pitch darkness. They sent someone up who advised us this light couldn’t be fixed for two days (handy that as we are only here two days). No safety catch on the window meaning the upstairs windows can be fully opened. Extension leads plugged in and coiled up, Wi-Fi code in the book was incorrect. This place is ideal for a hen or stag do but not really functional for a family and for the cost you can get a room with breakfast provided. For this price, you would expect basic facilities such as lighting to be fully operational and also a problem brought to their attention to be addressed immediately.
