Spacious, quiet, peaceful, easy access to beach
Not too many restaurants around the area

I love the place we're staying, the gorgeous view, and the great services. The interior design is also stunning as well as the garden. It was such a perfect place for us to stay during NYE.
It's not their fault, but there aren't a lot of Western restaurants nearby. Which makes it hard for food options.

Very charming house with stunning ocean view.
Cleanliness, breakfast and facilities could’ve been better.

If you are looking for a quite, private, low-profile luxury stay at Bali, this is your place. Amazing villas with a stunning ocean view. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the view and wether in a quite place with complete privacy, go to Balian Prana.
One small thing that does not match so carefully designed place are the covers of the in-room information books. They really must be replaced asap.

what a beautiful place.

The location is quite remote and it’s exactly what we wanted. The property is beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated, the room is the epitome of low-key luxury. The infinity pool was a wonderful treat where you can swim to the sounds of waves and birds.
Everything was wonderful.

The location next to a beautiful, not touristy beach. Not quite black sand, but close enough for an incredible sunset. Staff didn't speak much if any (depending on the person) English but tried their best to help and we always managed with Google translate. Facilities like the kitchen are great for longer stays. The infinity pool is absolutely epic. The rooms are huge. I don't usually leave reviews unless they are 9 or 10 or absolutely horrible but this place was a mixed bag, so I made my first exception.
Keep in mind this is more like a house rental than a hotel. There is no food on site (or nearby) and the place has a feeling like someone who invested a lot of money in a private home but then decided s/he needed some income, and hasn't been there for a while. There was mold all over the mirror in the bathroom and on the window shades in our room. My mother-in-laws room was worst - it had a moldy, musty smell, probably from not being used or having the AC on enough. The beds are very firm, which was fine for me but not for everyone. Some weird inconsistencies - the colorful large towels provided in the bathroom are beautiful and unique, possibly made by hand, but there are no small towels or bath mats, so we had to put these beautiful towels on the floor! The outdoor shower hadn't been cleaned in a long time and was impossible to use for safety reasons, too slippery. The pool has no umbrellas or towels left out (though you can take towels from your room). There was no blanket, only a sheet, so I had to use a towel (my husband likes to sleep with the room cold). The breakfast was really poor quality - my husband's omelette was overcooked and my boiled eggs were watery, not cooked for 6 minutes as requested. Overall poor quality and in quantity, like a step down from a Days Inn breakfast from my childhood.

The aesthetics of the property are lovely, with tastefully decorated rooms and well-kept grounds.
The room had an overwhelming smell of mildew that was hard to overlook. The shower had a short spurt of VERY hot water but then ran cold after that. The breakfast was extremely basic with supermarket sliced bread and an overcooked omelet. Also, there is no beach access from the property--only a challenging walk through some rough terrain.

one of the best I've ever stayed at; marvelous villa with incredible views, huge gorgeous garden with pool, excellent and very welcoming service by Dwi and his crew

The properties location is truly amazing with elevated, sunset-ocean views. We stayed at the largest room (presidential suite), which was really spacious, clean and well built ( acid washed marble, teakwood), comfortable beds.
We arrived early, and therefore checked in earlier, which was a plus. Beside us there were no other guests at the property.
I would have given the property a much higher rating, but I was really bothered by an incident. We had a friend come over who is from the village. We were sitting at the pool, when a staff member came and informed us that the owners do not wish for our friend to use the pool. Our friend was full dressed, and had no intention to use the pool. If she would, she would not have bothered anyone, as there were no other guests in the property, and besides that would have asked for permission. What really bothers me is that the security cameras are all directed into the property, and are obviously used by the owners to observe and spy on their guests. Not a very comfortable feeling for an enjoyable stay. One camera could potentially look into the bathroom, and clearly could have observed us half naked having a massage on the veranda.
The communication with manager was more or less non-existent. He never introduced himself, and kept in hiding. The other staff members where welcoming and nice. The room was really spacious, but was lacking some amenities such as a garbage, a place to put your worn clothes ( butler), a fridge and perhaps a water boiler for teas/ coffee ( as a constructive criticism). In comparison the property seems rather high priced for the area, and is lacking a bit the service element, which would explain the low occupancy.

We absolutely loved our stay. Great quiet location, walking distance to the beach. The estate is breathtaking, the garden, pool area and the sea views are amazing. Bedroom was spacious and well furnished with beautiful design. The staff was really nice. We can't wait to go back!
We asked for an extra bed for our kid and we payed a bit more than usual for this service. Breakfast was simple, all good but could be better.

Probably our best spot of our entire trip! it’s not a hotel but a villa with shared spaces : kitchen, living room, pool. we stayed in a bungalow facing the ocean, peace and quiet. everything was beautiful, a place to recommend to all architecture lovers. Staff was incredibly nice ❤️
one thing to know: there not restaurant but you can get food delivered. after a couple of days you feel your eating the same food … not so many options. breakfast was a bit so-so compared to everything else. But will do the job a for a couple of days.

Magical place, even better than in pictures. One can find real peacefulness there. Far enough from village to be able to relax completely, close enough to order food from really decent local restaurant :) nice beach just short walk away. Good surfing spot on nearby balian beach. Staff working at Balian Prana is really amazing, they do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as you can only imagine. Good breakfast with the view :) 3 options to choose from, we were there 6 days and we weren't bored because of the quality. I have also to mention the interior - someone who designed the rooms and the common area in the villa is really talented. Nice combination of styles that suits perfectely to this localisation. I wish I could come back there one day ;)
Everything was awesome!

We booked a room and were lucky enough to have the house to ourselves. The place is completely wonderful, from the design of the open plan living area to the softness of the sheets. The sea views from the balcony that surrounds the house are breathtaking.
The only slight criticism I would have was that the breakfast felt a little basic. If I'd been renting the whole place I would have expected something a little more special.

We had an absolute fabulous stay at Prana. The design of the house is very unique and very tasteful. The energy and vibe of the house, the views and rooms are absolutely fabulous and beautifully design. Outstanding.
I assume the house has been empty for a little bit and so rooms and beds/pillows/fabrics smelled a little moldy unfortunately. Nothing that can be avoided really in the tropics. Everything else about the place made up for it 100%

Incredible architecture, beautiful location, pool, massive clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms - this place is special if you like a modernist, clean feel. I was on my own for a solo break and it exceeded all expectations.
More food delivery options for lunch and dinner as there was not an in-house option. Also staff could come more regularly to clear up breakfast/coffee etc throughout the day.

The villa is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming. We loved waking up to the sounds of waves every morning.
We loved it!
