Your waitress Sophie was just wonderful!! Helpful, kind, willing and went out of her way to please us and other guests.
There was - honestly - nothing about The Wentworth Hotel that did less than superb!

Would have liked a mini bar in the room.

We liked the service throughout the hotel and the bedroom was very comfortable.

Perfect service and good was good.
A smart tv would be good. They don’t cost much and we could watch something we liked.

All breakfast served at the table
The unintrusive attentitiveness of the staff
Nothing really

Beautiful location. Great terrace area. Comfortable lounges. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Very well appointed bathroom. High standard of decoration.
The lack of a lift. Bedroom itself and bed a little in the small side.

Dinner was first rate with a good range of choices on the menu. Breakfast was also very good. Our room was very pleasant with all the facilities including an Eco shower, a large window and plenty of room to store clothes.
Their range and quality of wine was excellent. However, their house wine was very basic!
4.3
Pleasant, quiet room.
Lovely atmosphere
Food and meals not of high standard. An ambitious range of dishes. Perhaps over-ambitious. A smaller selection might enable concentration on quality
4.3
Our room exceeded expectations - very comfortable super king size bed and window you could open to allow the fresh air in. Common area's of the hotel very relaxing for reading / having pre dinner drinks.
Breakfast was fabulous - great service and delicious.
No mini fridge in the bedroom

The room was very comfortable and the food was excellent
We failed to receive 2 of our 3 ordered newspapers during our stay

Staff on reception very helpful.
very willing to carry our luggage to our room
we had unlimited use of the lounges which was great as we were meeting up with friends for lunch.
we were on the second floor - I don't cope well with stairs. However, had we known I am sure the hotel would have tried to provide a room on the first floor or in the annexe.

This is a traditional hotel which has been family owned for generations, so it has a homely feel and traditional furnishings, all to a high standard. Lots of comfy sofas and areas to sit quietly or in family groups. The hotel is quiet, relaxing and welcoming, a lovely home from home feel. The restaurant food is exceptionally good, small menu but excellent quality and modern presentation and extremely good value for money for 2 & 3 courses. Cooked breakfast also delicious. Plenty of allergy (gluten free) and vegetarian/vegan options too. We would defintely stay here again.
Room rate per night very high at £275 & £255 per night but I suppose that keeps the standards up but we were in the annexe over the road on the garden side, not in the main hotel, in a very nicely appointed, large room, nice warm radiators, large modern bathroom etc but sound travels so if noisy guests had been staying in the same block we would have been distrurbed and very unhappy, but thankfully not!

Great hotel, excellent location, right on the seafront. The hotel staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us during our stay. We will definitely be back.

The public rooms were well decorated. The bedroom (Room 14) was roomy with a small lounge overlooking the sea. The restaurant was beautiful and well decorated. The food was extremely good.
The outside was in need of decoration. some service was lacking. We sat down in one of the public areas and ordered a drink. The waitress said I had to go to the bar to order and get the drinks. I was surprised at this but went. I got the drinks at the bar and charged them to my room. I then had to take the drinks all the way to my seat where my wife was wondering where I had got to. poor service.

The breakfast offered a large choice and the food was cooked to perfection. The main meal again offered a good choice and the food was excellent. We had had a busy time at Christmas and this short break was wonderful. I particularly like the lounge areas where we could sit in comfy sofas in front of a lovely log fire. Just perfect for a cold winters evening. The staff were very attentive and nothing is too much trouble.

Room lovely, would have been a bonus if it was a sea view. Breakfast excellent great having table service.

good location
very small room room for the price. Dinner disappointing.

Room 4 - outlooking to sea - very comfy. Loved the large sofas in the lounge areas for relaxing times reading with coffees or wine.

Very comfortable room, breakfast good but not exceptional. A traditional hotel which I think it's fair to say is catering principally for a certain demographic (60+) which more than met our expectations.
A small comment: The communal areas were very brightly lit in the evening which was a bit off putting for a nightcap, there are lots of table lamps to give atmosphere but all the ceiling lights were on brightly. (I turned the overhead lights down myself in the end). Tables were cleared away from previous occupants but sofas and cushions weren't plumped up which was a also little less than welcoming. Shame, as a lot of thought has gone into the seating areas which are all nicely decorated and it's clear they are keeping on top of decor as everything looked recently updated. I got the feeling that they were a little short staffed (which is everywhere at the moment) so that may have been why. Also when we checked out we weren't asked if we had a nice stay which we thought was a little unusual....however none of this would put me off returning!
