The location is lovely, love the trees between the buildings of rooms. Can hear beautiful bird songs in the evening. Very close to beach and shops
The place itself is nice enough, nothing flash, although the pool area is nice.
Very thin walls could hear children crying/carrying on as children do all day and night along with general noise from people going about there business, can here every little thing. Made it hard to relax.
The staff were abrupt in their service meaning when we were mistaken about having breakfast included with our room, we felt belittled and judged at the honest mistake and felt forced to buy a meal that we didn’t want - an instant coffee and muesli for $15 - when we could have gotten something much nicer elsewhere.
When we went to checkout there was no one at the desk but a hand written note “back in 15” I spoke to a worker there who didn’t speak any English so was hard to effectively communicate.
4.5
The price was very favourable. A little outdated to be honest but then we can’t complain.
That it wasn’t more modern but then what would that cost?
4.0
Ease of access from car park, location
A microwave would have been useful
5.0
Cleanliness and setup of the room plus the hospitality service by the staff. I will recommend this hotel to my families and friends.
Great
The pool water was a bit cooler for my little son who wanted to swim, maybe next visit in the summer
5.0
the best checkin chick. best pillows and nicest bed. also i had a bath. it was yum yum
i couldn't stay longer
3.0
Big room with 2 beds.
Overall cleanliness - balcony not cleaned, shower grouting could do with exit mould. Hole in ceiling bathroom.
3.5
nice spacious room, nice large toilet/shower area, nice and handy to all shops and restaurants.
night light by tv was poor, no pen/pencil on desk, poor tv reception, poor lighting in shower room
5.0
Great location, short walk to beach and shops/restaurants. Nice light room, and waking up to Tuis chirping .

Location was in walking distance of where we were going. It was adequate for our needs.
Room was not ready at check in time (after 2pm) due to staff shortages, so we were told to return in 40 minutes. Room was ok but felt a bit squashy with 2 big beds. Bathroom was looking a bit tired and dated.
3.0
Good location, comfy beds, nice size room.
We were staying with young children and was allocated a room the furthest possible distance from the pool.
4.5
only pillows were uncomfortable and can’t cook food in the room
3.0

The location was great- really near to the centre and walkable distance to everything you want to visit. The gym and pool were great.
Room seemed a little overpriced, especially as they dont have baths in the standard rooms. The breakfast offered virtually nothing vegan.
3.5
Great Location, clean and good value for money.
A little old and dated with stains in bathroom - not horrendous but noticable
3.5
Great location, easy booking.
- Our room curtains were broken, rough looking and dirty.
- There was an infestation of ants around the coffee preperation area.
- The spa pool is not intended for comercial use. It is a small, private home sized spa and youd be lucky to fit more than 2-3 adults in there.
4.0
Location of hotel; ease of parking; size of room; staff friendly and helpful
Breakfast was limited; view from room was poor
3.0
location

THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT AND THE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY ENOUGH BUT OVERALL THE PAHIA WAS THE PERFECT PLACE TO LAND IN NEW ZEALAND.
THE POOL WAS A BIT CHILLY BUT OVERALL IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SETTING.
4.0
location was nice and close to the beach and the local shops and the motel was really good value for money
this was definitely more like a 70’s motel than a hotel but everything was nice and clean. also note that the breakfast is just continental
3.5
Location, Breakfast, staff helpful.
Very small kitchen area, Room a little small.
3.5
Amazing service from the woman working front desk every time I went to ask a question! Late check in was also made easy and front desk were nice and gave us late check out even though we asked last minute so we really appreciated that!
lots of crickets in the room - I’m sure this is something very hard to control but was the only downside to our stay which is why I am mentioning it.

nice small swimming pool outside. great big room, comfortable bed and lovely clean bathroom with separate shower cubicle
staff were lacking enthusiasm and were keen to point out what we can’t do rather than we we could do. breakfast had the same few items every day which after the second morning became a bit boring. the path leading to the room was not well kept with several tripping hazards along the way, as the room was in a separate building a couple of minutes walk from the reception . very disappointed that the hotel had no bar or restaurant. they only served a few items for breakfast. it looks like it could do with new management to bring life back into the building. we’d have liked the opportunity to have a meal and a few drinks too in the evening. the location wasn’t exactly walking to the centre of Paihia which meant we had to take the car for a short drive out for dinner every night.
4.5
