Location, large, beautiful, clean rooms
The restaruant's food was of very poor quality. Not freshly cooked and not tasty.
5.0
Excellent location with surrounding trail within the property, beautiful dining area with very good food and staff, the owners was also very present and helpful.
4.5
Quiet, beautiful surrounding (park & pond), large room, delicious breakfast & dinner.
3.5
Great atmosphere, fully grown garden, visually stunning.
The rooms do not ventilate enough so the humidity made the pillows smell a bit.

The place is surrounded by jungle with a nice walking trail and monkeys that may greet you in the morning. The food and drinks served at the restaurant are very tasty. Staff was kind.
Although of decent size, the double rooms we booked were tired looking. Bathroom/sanitary could do with an upgrade.

we were welcomed by the Belgian host, whom is very enthusiastic and entertaining. the setting of the restaurant was really nice, and the cuisine was extremely good. As an extra there’s a short trail on the estate, nice short walk through the jungle, highly advisable.
There’s nothing negative to mention.

Authentic restored colonial farmhouse. wonderful setting tucked away off the main road - great access and perfect spot as traveling around.
Wonderful owner provided us with personalized stay. even though it rained most of the time we were there, it was charming! had dinner and breakfast outside in the beautiful on-site restaurant….excellent!
Extremely comfortable bed, rooms with european charm and clean.
Morning enjoyed early hiking around trails on the property before breakfast.
Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the trail and the beautiful pool area. Very close to Braulio Carrillo.
1.5
Beautiful park on the premises
Catastrophic bed, bland food, service uninterested and slow, owner very talkative and overbearing

The pictures do not show the real beauty of this place. John Pierre the owner was present the whole time fir anything we needed and let us check in early. he helped book a private River tour for us that was less expensive than a “traditional” tour and we saw 7 different types of Costa Rican species. next day Randell guided us on an indigenous Chocolate tour on the property . it was the BEST! he was knowledgeable and kind and engaging. the restaurant prepared fresh food and all was reasonably priced.
a little to close to major road. you can’t see it there is so much beautiful jungle around but you can hear it. Along with the birds and the frogs.
4.5
The hotel is set in beautiful grounds which includes a 2 mile walk through the forest. The pool area is lovely . The food was very good. The room was spacious and had nice decor.
You could hear the noise from the road, especially when by the pool. The room could do with a fridge.

It´s a beautiful place to get some rest in middle of the forest of Sarapiquí

Beautiful grounds, food was excellent, staff very nice

What an amazing surprise to find this beautiful gem hidden away in the middle of the rainforest of Sarapiqui. It was gorgeous--like a set right out of a movie. It was naturally wild with gardens of native flowers and the buildings were beautifully historical. Additionally, what a suprise to find no mosquitoes since the owners are ecologically mindful and managing the land in a way that frogs, turtles and birds thrive which keep everything in balance to eat the mosquito larvae. As if it couldn´t get any better, the food was amazing with exceptional service. This is definitely a special place! We´ll be back!

The accommodation is a jewel in the jungle, the scenery is breathtaking and you just want to stay the whole time in the lodge. Excellent king zise beds and high end linens. A romantic swimming pool and gourmet restaurant. We fell in love with the helpful owners. The place offers a highly recommended chocolate tour, as well other activities. Plenty of things to do in the area including a river boat tour. A place to spend at least a few nights.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
3.5
The facilities were nice. Clean, roomy, plenty of hot water. Because we were there during COVID, there were no other guests. Breakfast was good, coffee was ready early and the staff was helpful. Not easy to find turnoff from highway.
Not a totally fair complaint, but because we are bird photographers, we missed the feeders, etc, that many lodges in the area provide. The environment is very nice, but did not fit our needs well. A previous complaint talked about highway noise-we did not have any problems with this.

Breakfast was delicious and the perfect portion (and trust me we love to eat a lot)! They gave us a bit of everything they had to offer for breakfast and we returned every plate empty it was that good!!!
The owners are among the top ten fabulous hostess that we have met and we have traveled the world on a couple of occasions!!!! We will definitely be coming back and bringing as many friends as we can!!
There is nothing not to love about this place!!! We loved every single bit of it!!!

It's a wonderful place to stay, very beautiful room with a super comfy bed. Very large territory of the finca, you can go for multi-hour walks on private trails and you see tons of birds and even monkeys. The owner is very friendly and nice to talk to. He suggested a chocolate tour that was great - it's private, very reasonably priced, and you see how the cocoa grows in the plantation, how it's prepared, you get to try making it yourself and in the end you make some bon-bons (crushed cocoa beans with raw sugar) that are soooo tasty!
The restaurant deserves a special mention - it's beautiful, cheaper than expected, and food was really good & healthy (fancier variants of traditional dishes with smaller portions, which is much appreciated because it's not really possible to eat a regular sized Costa-Rican casado for a person that doesn't necessary does harsh manual labour all day)
Nothing! Everything was really great.

It was a very quiet hotel and that was good for us as we wanted a calm day after 2 busy days white water rafting.
It was clean, the food was great, the staff were great
