Beautiful Magical Place. An oasis in the hustle bustle of the old city. Beautifully restored Haveli of the Maharaja of Samode. Close to all the tourist spots and shopping. Staff and Hospitality was exceptional

Such a beautiful hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff.
We have a lovely driver Gokul who took us all over town and was so kind and helpful.
He also drove us from the airport to Agra and helped us with so many things.
Guide Lakshman was incredible.
Great concierge and wonderful food

Lovely building, rooms, pool, meal areas. Most staff very friendly and helpful. Good food.
Call to prayer from surrounding area several times per day very annoying - especially at 3am. Taxi pickup from station and to onward destination etc way over-priced - much better to go with local firms.

the hotels is located in an old indian palace and it feels like to be in a historic museum, the courtyards are going into one another to unveil surprisingly beautiful gardens. The satff is super helpful and the concierge was great in organizing our moving around jaipur and around with the amazing driver Prithvisinjh
it was our second time in Samode Haveli and will definitely go back on our next trip in Rajastan!

Beautiful property but felt negative and haunting energy everywhere at this property. it is at least 200 years old and was used as a residence for generations before it was converted into a hotel. There are pictures of various people who clearly are no longer alive adorning the walls throughout the property. The hotel is isolated and the rooms are spread in a manner that accentuates the isolation. I could not be alone in our suite. We were shown 4 separate rooms after we called the front desk with our concerns. Each room shown to us made us increasingly uncomfortable. We fled the property and checked into the Jaipur Hilton. The team at the Haveli showed no empathy or understanding of our situation and proceeded to charge us $1,700 for the 4 nights that we booked. That was a lot of money for a 3-hour stay.

This is a beautiful property, huge, unique and elegant. It’s a great way to experience living in an old Haveli in India. But I’m glad I only stayed one night. Firstly, it’s pricey, which is to be expected. But there is also a level of service that is expected to come with that price, and Samode Haveli falls just short of that. The common areas are well kept, spacious and beautiful. Some of the staff make good service their goal. Others don’t.
It should be noted that the ground staff are very friendly and the waiter we had for dinner as well as the Bar man at the rooftop bar were extremely pleasant and helpful. Management was not present as far as I saw, but should be as there are clearly several small details that need to be addressed in order to make a big difference.
The room was beautiful but a bit dirty which was more than disappointing. The kettle hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Both bath mats had long black hairs on them. The robes were obviously multi-use and one was stained and gross. When I pulled back the top cover on the bed, the sheet underneath had a hair and several specs of food or some other item.
The dinner service was very good. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food wasn’t a wow for me. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry and over cooked. The chili chicken was incredibly oily. The chocolate fondant was very good but the ice cream with it tasted a bit synthetic.
Breakfast was not a wow and the service was terrible. I was trying to get a croissant from the pastry bin but had one plate in my hand and the other hand to open the container. At this point a waiter stuck a plate out and I thought he was going to help me but instead he asked me to help him get a croissant!!! Unbelievable! We had to flag someone down to order eggs and coffee and he seemed so upset to be at work today. His face was not polite and he wasn’t helpful in taking the order. They played temple music inside but it only barely covered the noise of a squeaky toy that either a dog or child were playing with somewhere within.
What bothered me most was the pre-arrival communication. When I booked I made my intentions very clear for a specific activity I wanted to have. It wasn’t until after the cancellation period had expired that I was informed it would not be possible (and only after I had asked for confirmation). I expressed disappointment and was told the venue was booked out for a wedding and that I should be understanding of the other guests. Of course I understand the other guests have booked out the venue privately. But I doubt they booked it two days before when it’s their wedding! I’m sure that it had been booked far in advance, but wasn’t communicated to me the first or second time I inquired.

Samode Haveli is absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to relax after a day exploring. Our room was spacious with amazing architecture and we also loved the pool area with luxurious daybeds. The property was a great base to explore Jaipur and not far from the many wonderful sites to visit.

By photos it appeared to be a nice property, specially the facade. but, when we visited it they provided us the room in another wing, which was not at all clean.
The property is run, less number of staffs, it was more of haunted.

The staff was very rude and uneducated. They did not had any solution to the problems
The pictures are not what it exactly looks like. Its very old pictures may be when it was constructed. Because the colors were very faded in the property. Cushions and sofas colors were faded. The arra seems big in pictures but it is not as per the image.the area and reception is very small. Reception is not at all like what is in the picture. The staff are very mean and they only work for money. Not at all happy with their hospitality.
Not worth the penny.

First of all, this is NOT a hotel. Its a Haveli, that has been converted into a hotel. The rooms were fabulous, probably the biggest room in which I have ever stayed. We had booked the entry-level rooms, but due to off-season times, they upgraded our rooms for FREE! It was such a generous gesture on their part! I loved the room, which had a big hall with a Dining Table, then a four-posted bed, and another area with a Sofa set and Television. The bathroom was very expansive as well with a hanging rod closet and shower area with a big bathtub.
They enquired us before our arrival on when we will be reaching the place, and made sure our arrival was very good. Gave us a welcome drink in the hot weather, had our rooms already ready for us to enter.
At every touch-point, we were amazed with the hospitality and kindness we received.
We tried out different dishes in the almost 24x7 restaurant and probably some of the best tasting home-made dishes we ever had! I never had Bhindi this good before!
The swimming pool was great, so was the SPA. We opted for the Samode Signature massage and it was great!
We went there for 4 days and 3 nights. Spent one entire day outside the Haveli, visiting different places in Jaipur and shopping and eating. One day we spent in the resort - After breakfast, relaxed a bit in the room then went for SPA. After that relaxed again and had lunch there and spent a good time in the pool with the family, and finished it with a nice dinner outside.
Each member of the staff made sure our experience was great and they were really nice to us!
I would specifically point out to Prateek, Santoshi at the reception and Surajdev (I don't recall the name properly right now) in the restaurant who had prepared Raan-e-Musallam one night before at our request, a dish that was amazing and too delectable!
The stay might be a little expensive for the odd tourist, but we went there with this in mind and it exceeded our expectation at every point!
Everything exceeded out expectations. Even the usual breakfast options, that are usually not good because there is mostly no quality control on breakfast, were absolutely amazing in taste! We ended up eating more and more everytime we had a meal!

The Haveli itself is truly beautiful! The hotel is easily the nicest place I have ever stayed, the grounds were exquisite, the staff were amazing, food was great. I'm only sorry I couldn't have stayed for longer - it was impossible to explore all the facilities in the 3 days I was there!
I honestly have nothing bad to say. All my wishes were answered, all my questions solved; the team really does think of everything!

Very Good dinner
Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
The staff is very helpful and gracefully accommodates any extra request
The property looks beautiful once you are inside. It could do with some more landscaping at the main entrance ( from car park to the main entrance door ) as this exterior, though well kept, does not do justice to the inside. The inside of the property is beautiful with old trees and gardens, calm, soothing ambience.

This is one of the most stunning hotels I've ever stayed at. In the midst of quite a busy city, it's a calm and gorgeous setting. The rooms were huge and felt like staying in a private villa. All the staff were friendly and warm. The highlight for me, however, was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was out of this world. Indian food, with more classic Western dishes (e.g. omlettes, pancakes, etc). All of it was delicious.
Nothing - wish I could have stayed for more than one night!

Location
Overall, the stay was ok till the last night. Based on recommendation of friends, with my wife decided to have most of our meals inside the hotel. Well, the last dinner we got food-poisoning, and in a horrible way. we could not sleep, and the next day we lost it completely. The minimal for a 5-star hotel is to have a top food chain control, which was not the case. I think the situation was serious. Additionally, we didn’t even receive any formal apologies (they just removed that meal for the total payment). I would expected to have the manager in front of me. Very bad experience.
