the location is wonderful, with an exceptional sea view! the room was very clean and well stocked! Caterina, the owner of the house, was very kind and helpful, she made us feel at home! she gave us many tips for visiting the island and was available for our every request! also, we really enjoyed the kayaking that was available to guests! we recommend this property to everyone, we will definitely be back and we sincerely thank the sweet Catherine!

Beautiful tranquil location in walking distance of two pebble beaches which were beautiful and restaurants at Steni Vala. Snorkelling and paddle boards and kayaks available. Lovely studio apartment with everything we needed.
The bus service to Steni Vala is poor and prohibits any exploration of the island as the earliest bus to port arrives after all the other island buses arrive. Unless this changes a car would be advised.

We chose Casa Kalypso for our honeymoon and we couldn't have made a better choice. It's located in a small and beautiful fisherman village Steni Vala, which is exactly what we were looking for - peaceful, tranquil, crystal clear sea, pine trees and oleanders. The accommodation was super clean, well furnished - powerful ceiling fan and AC unit as well. Bed was comfortable, so were the pillows :) The kitchen was well equipped even if you plan to cook there (which we did only once) - what we appreciated the most was that there was a clean frenchpress and also a moka pot so we could make a fresh coffee in the morning. Free kayaks and paddleboards for the guests :) Our apartment was only steps away from 2 beautiful beaches. We used to go to the one with SUELTO beach bar with sunbed - a sweet place to be, sunbeds under olive trees, good food and drinks. The apartments are approx. 8 min walking to the tiny center of Steni Vala, with awesome tavernas and a small mini market. Katerina, the owner is the sweetest person, the communication was excellent - she really takes care of you during your stay and makes sure you're happy :) Just a small hint - we did not rent a car, so Katerina helped us and booked a taxi for us - booking a taxi for a certain time is always a good idea as there are only 4 taxis on the island. Overall, this is a really lovely place to stay, do not hesitate if you do :) You're gonna love it!
There is absolutely nothing to complain about.

Had a wonderful stay at Casa Kalypso with the wonderful host Katerina. Superb location, fabulous surroundings, short walk to a lovely beach with a super friendly family run taverna, and totally idyllic holiday destination. Katerina was super accommodating and helpful, and helped make my stay very special. I will certainly come again!

Peaceful location very near a lovely beach. 5 mins walk. Very comfortable bed & lovely linen. All amenities provided + more. Katerina is a great host.
Nothing. Just be aware you need to be careful for those trips to the bathroom in the night, to get down the ladder safely!

We loved the quiet location with stunning view (sunrise particularly special).
Katerina our host was so friendly and helpful, bringing us an umbrella when a storm was forecast, giving us homemade jam etc, and any advice we needed. The apartment was beautiful, spotlessly clean and furnished with everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable and there was fan plus a/c. We could even borrow a parasol and beach chairs. I cannot recommend casa kalypso highly enough!
Nothing !

Great place ! I have just had it for a week and if you look for tranqullity and peace, this is the right choice. Refurbished apartment, clean and fully equipped. Paddle board and sea kayak at your disposal. Tavernas at Steni Vala are just a minute walk, but far enough for any noise to reach you.

The property is a fantastic mixture of traditional architecture and way of life coupled with all the cons.
First, it is a wonderful property with a fantastic view. On the left, there is a lovely bay with clean waters and a little canteen to sit and have a sandwich and a cold tree. The bay has pebbles but once you are in the sea, it feels amazing; the trees come down to the sea. Also one can buy a pair of shoes to get to the beach. On the right, there is another place to swim. But further, there is a small cute port where sailing boats can rest, get petrol and sit. It has amazing tavernas and lovely cafes, a super market and it is walking distance. It is great.
Second, the hostesses do not just offer amazing accommodation; they offer an amazing way of life; canoes can be taken to the sea with no extra charge. Everything is possible and easy and one feels the calm and carefree days go by.
And all this without any compromise to the comfort. Mattresses are cocomats, the kitchen and bathrooms are clean and new, internet connection is very good, the walls white, the air con is strong and new. The accommodation has amazing verandas and trees, and all is summery and lovely. Katerina and Joanna are like your friends and help through any issue, and parking is plenty.
Overall: Heaven on earth.
Nothing to report really... Maybe not the right place for very mature people, or completely inactive people, although if one has a car, one can get around anyway.

Katarina was the perfect host - thank you! The location was breathtaking, the studio had everything we needed.
It was probably the best accommodation we had in Greece.
We plan to go back next year.
