The staff are very helpful.
The bathroom shower cannot be regulated. Not so many variety of menus to choose from.

The staff are very friendly! :) Very helpful to all our concerns.
Nothing. Everything is perfect.

The fact the hotel is on an isolated island and some of the staff were amazingly helpful. One of the guys even loaned me his personal snorkel gear so I can go see all the fish that collect around the pier. Good air-conditioning and amazing views.
Beer needs to be colder. WiFi was not available everywhere,. like the room, but most common areas. If you like nightlife in the city on the main island then it is hard to experience because last boat goes at 10pm, no exceptions because it becomes a safety issue with the dark.

RECONSIDER YOUR STAY HERE! Please read before booking.
The staff here were great however management is the real issue.
We booked the over water bungalow and even upon arrival was not told that it was under maintenance. We were just issued a different room (even though we had already paid for the bungalow). It was only when we questioned our booking did they tell us.
We later saw a couple move rooms to an over water bungalow that was supposedly under construction. Which was infuriating to see.
The resort has a transfer boat to and from the island to the mainlands with great boat crew. The boat only goes to and fro a handful of times between 8am and 5:30pm so if you want to eat out anytime after 4pm, you cannot. They have set it up so you must eat dinner and breakfast at the resort. Especially if you do any island hopping tours or diving the tours begin at 8:30 and end at 5:30 meaning you are forced to take the first and last boats leaving you no time to eat out or collect food/drinks to bring back to the resort.
The kitchen at the resort has a very limited menu. Forget being vegetarian or vegan. And of the limited menu, IF the food is available (quite often what you want is unavailable) it’s not great quality and costs over double what it would on the mainland. And don’t forget the 10% surcharge added to all items. Costing roughly 800 peso (880 with surcharge) per meal.
If you order a cocktail don’t expect to get what you ordered. A pina colada is a bit of green cordial with some form of alcohol.
Breakfast was included for us. However of the fewer than ten options to order from, more than four of them were unavailable.
The egg meals come with one egg and you must pay extra per egg. The coffee is shockingly watery too. Again no vegetarian or vegan options. Not even Pescatarian either.
If you’re hoping to snorkel or swim around the resort then don’t. It’s full of deadly box jellyfish from the mangrove and sea urchins.
The food, the feeling of being trapped. Unable to leave for dinner.

The location is superb, the staff and the manager always makes sure we’re comfortable. The Manager, Jericho goes out of his way to give us what we need and want. He’s the best for sure.

I love the idea that its on the sea. Corals are nearby. The only concern is its another island from the town and the hotel boat to go to town is only until 5pm which is abit hard if u want to go night life.
Clean and Very peaceful place

the kitchen staff were very nice along with the three owners
You are stuck on an island with nothing to do. The resort was completely empty when I arrived and now I understand why. The food is incredibly over priced and they charge a whopping ₽1000 for ferries to the main town which stop at 8pm. The front desk is not helpful with managing the reservations, giving me false information multiple times. They ignored my messages and over charged me for my stay. Over all, it was a huge disappointment and a big waste of money. They are very sneaky about how they charge you and what ever you do, don’t touch the bananas.

The room was really nice and big. Had an amazing bathroom with rainshower and it was very clean.
The view over the sea was beautiful and we had sunsetview which was great.
The ferry didn’t go later than 17:00 so on the evenings you are stuck on the island. There was no service or internet and because of the ferry you have to dine in de restaurant of the resort which had really bad food. We got a pizza which was raw and the chicken had bone/hard pieces in it. The staff was very passive when we asked for things like warm water (it stopped working). You have to pay a lot more for additional thing for breakfast, even for tea!! Also they said there were canoes free to use but you had to pay if you want to use it.
The only nice things were the room and the view. All the others things are not making it a “resort”.

Poor WiFi connection
Staff uninterested
Food very poor. Very little dishes are actually available on the menu.

Coron Underwater is charming - my hotel room was supported on sticks in the water. I loved the quiet and beautiful location, only a few minutes from the town of Coron by boat, but a world away in terms of beautiful, peaceful setting - all you see are green hills and small secluded beaches. There's a large, marked swimming area right from the hotel, with a small coral reef for snorkeling. The pier is a great place to hang out, set out over the water. Gorgeous sunsets from here. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. There were few guests when I was there, so the vibe was extremely friendly and casual. The hotel boat takes you the short trip into Coron at scheduled times, but they are also flexible about dropping you or picking you up at other times. The staff was very attentive and kept great track of us - always waiting to pick us up in Coron when we had requested. I did a snorkeling trip and a scuba trip from the resort.
Don't come here if you want town life, restaurants, nightlife, etc. It is a quiet peaceful spot, not for everyone.
When I was there, the hotel wasn't able to take credit cards, so I had to run into town to get cash.

Restaurant and housekeeping staff were nice
Good food but overpriced
Beautiful views (if ignoring the rubbish around the "resort" area)
It says it has a beach but there is no beach on the island
It says there is a spa but there isn't
Swimming pools covered in algae; no shade at the pools only option was to sit in the sun - was told the umbrella was broken; had one brought to us after insisting.
Receptionist told us it's fine to "explore around the island" but we ended up on someone's property (5min away from the "resort")
Had to wait for 1h to be picked up by the boat from town
Had been charged a ridiculous amount to have laundry done
Receptionist stating he was not aware that on Booking.com it was written that there was a beach or a spa nor what Booking.com is. It is however stated the same on their website

nice location (very quiet)
waterbungalows were really nice
clean
nice staff
good sleep/ comfortable mattress
we requested a tour that wasn’t part of their package and they said they will look it up and come back to us… never happened, so we almost weren’t able to do the tour cause of time
restaurant doesn’t have any dishes on the list (always sold out -Almost everything) and it takes forever from ordering til receiving the dishes
boat service is from 8am to 5 pm which is to short for a deserted island… afterwards you need to pay for it…
so you are coming back in time and eat in the restaurant and than they don’t even have the dishes on the menu

Artwork on the overwater villas was cool. Boat out to the accommodation. Rest was very average.. :(
Staff were not very helpful. Boat transfer was very late. Tried to charge us a crazy amount for 3rd person in the room (even though the room had 2 x double beds). Bathroom in the room smelt awful. And the breakfast was sub par - not great at all.

Coron Underwater Resort is located away from the town of Coron. The resort met our expectations of staying away in a quiet locale. resort has good facilities and decent rates for food, although the service in the restaurant could be a little slow due to the lesser number of staff. The resort being a little away from town, there could be shortage in food menu options available depending on the number of guests staying at the resort. The staff are very courteous and helpful
Few aspects about the resort that one needs to add into the booking.com website are:
1. The free hotel ferry timings are from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Beyond these hours the cost for using the ferry one way is Pesos 600.
2. The airport drop if required from the boat jetty will cost Pesos 200 per head.
Nothing really despite a little slow service in the restaurant.

the ad says it is the city proper. it is on another island.

The guy that works in the kitchen he make sure we had food all the time that was my favorite person in the hotel
I just love everything

The property is perfectly located in a secluded Island which is perfect for a solitary vacation away from nuisance of the town. Clean water and nice facilities.
There no much food available.

Food. Drinks. Breakfast
The restaurant charge for cooking our seafood from market was toooooo much.

Staff very friendly and very supportive, very nicw and kind. Strongly recommend this place.
The only thing we disliked was the fact that not one of the fish dishes on the menu where available during our stay.

Free drinking water
This “resort” was the worst nightmare we ever had on Booking. Small rooms, air condition was as bad and noisy as some people describe here. The place was stinking and you cannot even use toilet paper in your (and also in common) restrooms.
Both pools are dirty and full of oils / suncream
We also ordered couple massage for me and my girlfriend - they managed to get only one therapist 90 minutes later than we reserved! And the massage had to take place in our “room”.
All this was even quite expensive (100 USD per night), when you can have far better hotels in Coron for only 20 USD per night more ...

The place is really not so bad as many write. Apart the noisy aircon and the absence of a mirror in the bathroom everything is Ok. Some sockets didn't work but others were Ok. The shower worked fine and the water was hot. It is possible to dry clothes outside the floating house. No bugs were detected in this house. Don't expect good wi-fi, get a sim card with data. The cleaning, change of towels and sheets is done if you live the key at the reception. The last boat from the city was at 6 PM. You must have a dinner at the hotel or find a private boat. The food was not bad and the price was Ok. It didn't take forever to wait for the food as other write in the reviews. Of course, you may get much better food in the town but this is an island to "relax". I wouldn't say that the town is noisy and i doubt if it is really worth staying on the island. All the trips are from the city so you have to get a boat to the city first and then transfer to a tour boat. The pool with fresh water is Ok. The pool with the sea water is murky. The staff is fine. You can pay with cash or with a card +4% surcharge.
The aircon is old and noisy. It is not possible to swim around because the water is dirty and there is jelly fish in the water. There is no "underwater garden" basically. The evening entertainment is a good idea but the choice of movies and the quality of the microphones for the live band should be improved.
