Superb

The capsules are really nice. The price is the same as a dorm room in a hostel but the capsule has a lot more privacy. The courtyard is very nice.

kinda worth the money

the location is great and staff was nice.

I stay downstairs and i literally heard everyone walks from the upper level. not enough storage space. I have seen many guests put their luggage in the walkway.

not worth the money

the location

the mirror glass and the two plugs weren’t working in by podbed. I told the person in charge about the issue and I said that someone will comme to fix it at some stage, but never heard from him again, which was quiet annoying. the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, (and I’m usually pretty easy on that matter) couldn’t sleep properly at all, and also found 2 cockroach in my bed the toilet and bathrooms were ok but only 2 of each in the girls toilet, and only one toilet in the men’s area, which doesn’t seem to be enough when you see the amount of people staying in the hostel. the kitchen was nice but small. again, definitely not enough room for everyone. over all it’s unfortunately a bad experience.

Cheap place to stay in Sydney closed to the beach

The localisation

The bedroom would need a good full cleanup. The humidity attacking the walls and the smell when you enter in the bedroom. I wonder if the bedsheets have been change between the previous guest and myself. The bathrooms are not handy.

Great location, but slightly overpriced for the facilities offered.

location was great and nice outside area

cleanliness wasn’t great in bathrooms, beds weren’t made too well and kitchen appliances were scarce. Having said this, the cleaning staff seemed to be working much of the day! would have also been nice for laundry to accept card like most other hostels.

Great location, very cute cozy hostel

I liked the capsule beds and the hostel was very cute and on a perfect location

Communication with staff. I almost couldn’t get inside the hostel one night because of I couldn’t get the gate code working. I was very upset and scared when I couldn’t get in touch with the staff so that they could help me and thought that I would have to spend the night outside. Luckily some other guest noticed me and helped me.

Good

Location is amazing, 3 blocks from the beach and coastal walk which is stunning. A great selection of restaurants and bars around. Clean rooms and nice hang spaces out front and back. Contactless check in, which was great when I arrived into the airport near midnight. Great water pressure and temperature from the showers too, can never have too much water pressure!

There's not much soundproofing so expect to hear doors slamming all night. Also the zero tolerance for alcohol on the premises was a little downer. Would have been amazing to chill with a beer after a massive day of walking.

Perfect location for me, It could not have gone any better and would stay there again!

Location was perfect for me, absolutely perfect! Showers and toilet facilities were excellent also.

Nothing that I did not like, it was what I expected!

Pleasant

The location is great, we leave the building and we see the ocean. The garden is very nice

It is very hot in the rooms, the cleanliness is to be improved and the comfort of the beds is not optimal

Great place to stay in Coogee

Great location, central to Coogee- a 2 min walk to the beach. Room was very comfy (had a private double room). Nice back garden area, kitchen was good, felt more like a house than a typical backpackers.

Room could have been cleaned a bit better- there were nail clippings all over the floor beside the bed :(

A good place to crash

The location & hot showers. Staff were friendly. Rooms were quiet.

It smelt a little bit like my brothers room when he was a teenager. I got there after hours & I didn’t know that the linen was is the locker & I also didn’t know that I had to bring my own lock. The doona & pillow cover felt a little greasy, not sure if it was washed properly. There were no numbers on my cube so I didn’t know which one was mine. There was fans inside the cube but they were not cold enough so I woke up hot. Mattress was thin but I don’t care about that. The place served my purpose & I had a good time otherwise.

I liked the pods, facilities were clean enough, friendly people and convenient location

Not myself, but some others complained that their mattress at the pods were a bit hard/sunken in in the middle.

location

the bathroom was not clean at all and most of the cubicles were out of order. the shower didn’t drain well so was just stood in water and there was only one sink to was your face/teeth/hands which had no ledge to put anything, felt dirtier than when I went in to clean. the room was okay but felt dirty too and bed was very squeaky even just moving around in my sleep. walls super thin so could hear people in the kitchen even though it was doors away.
