About this apartment rental
Bob and Meri's Condominium, on the Big Island of Hawaii, is part of the Keauhou Gardens I complex located in the Kona Coast Resort. Our condo is a two level townhome of 2000 sq ft having three bedrooms and three baths. There two lanais with ocean views. Need to replace blinds in Master and downstairs room broken. 2nd bathroom upstairs loose towel rack. And front door bottom hinge is loose. Had a great stay very comfortable and roomy.

We (8) had plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and enjoy the condo and the grounds of complex are well maintained and pools are very nice. Only negative is the lights were a little hard to figure out, but once we found all the switches it was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. They do have everything you need.

We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas available. Space worked well for our family. We know it’s a tropical area but there was a bug problem, don’t know the source but should be checked into.

Loved the location and amenities, condo came with pretty much everything we needed for beach trips, was right across from the “quiet pool” on site, very short drive to supermarket and restaurants. Washer, dryer, dish washer, cook top and ovens all in great shape.
Felt like a home away from home with lots of room for the six of us to spread out. It was a great week!

This townhome had everything we needed during our vacation and was immaculate. All of the small details like comfortable bedding, well equipped kitchen, and beach gear made it definitely feel like home away from home. The owners were very kind and respond quickly to any questions. The location is perfect near beaches and shopping. The activity center help us plan our luau off the resort. The restaurant at the resort has great food and drinks. We even saw a whale breach during breakfast by the water! We would definitely return. 100% recommend to anyone.

The condo resort was amazing. Staff very polite and helpful. The condo clean and convenient for what we needed. Sleeping arrangements were perfect. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking ware and necessities you would need. Which came in handy when you can cook your own food. Tourist activities were 10-15 minute away. The owner of condo was very helpful. Our flight didn’t leave until later in the evening so they were able to accommodate us.

Definitely plenty of room for the 7 of us adults! Lots of room for bags and to lounge around/eat. Parking was not too bad, we just had to get a placard for the dashboard and park in the guest parking zones which were sometimes completely full near the unit. We also found & killed 2 cockroaches in the unit during the stay, not sure how they got in. Otherwise the unit was very clean and had no other issues! We would come back again. The master bathroom tub was amazing, and the pools/amenities were an amazing feature for evenings after a day of adventure.

We had so much room for our group of 7, and everything was comfortable, spacious and well maintained. The lanai became our favorite spot, we hung out there every evening. The smaller pool is right across from this unit so that was very convenient

Big mahalo for opening your home. From the time we arrived, parking was great, super close to a “quiet” pool, spacious, clean and a nice welcome to a “cool” home when we arrived home in the evenings. Highly recommended.

As I previously shared to Robert & Merilyn's email, we had a great time and found the condo in excellent shape, and did our best to leave it as such. We had no issues, just a great time, as we have had many times before with the previous owner's Fred & Bonnie.
We also purchased, and left in the condo, a good quality, red plastic cooler that we used for day trips with sandwiches/water bottles. We left it there in hopes others may find it useful as well. We hope it will be there next year when we hope to return and rent the condo again.
Again, no issues, just a great time in Kona and in the Condo (sunsets are beautiful!).

The property was great and fully stocked with way more stuff then we could have expected. There was laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, big washer and dry, beach stuff which helped us not have to go purchase, extra stuff like aloe in the fridge, extra blankets, pillows, and sheets. They even supplied Aveda Shampoo, Conditioner, and body wash.

Great space, perfect locale!~
Near perfect stay...I say "near" only because, upon our arrival, the main floor toilet flushes properly WHEN the handle is pushed forward and then the handle is pulled back, once contents of bowl have gone down the drain. It wasn't a problem for us when we figured this out, but I would suggest the owners look into a fix! Loved our stay!

Nice Property
I stayed in this property with my family and another group of family friends. Our party of 8 was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had no overall issues with the property during our stay. We also visited the resort pool and jacuzzi on multiple nights - the pool is a bit warm, but very clean and amazing after spending some time in the jacuzzi after a long, tiring day. 5 stars.

Awesome Place
The first words from my 8 year old grandson were: "Wow, this place is awesome!" Most of the previous reviews were pretty much spot on. Everything we needed was provided, we just had to look hard as there were so many storage spaces. The resort was was beautiful and easy to get around. The kids had plenty of things to do outside. Thanks for making this stay very relaxing and worry free.

Amazing place, although the a.c unit was not enough for that big place parts of the home was super hot. the good thing there was a pool right outside the door... Parking was extremely close for those that couldnt walk far. loved loved loved the 3 baths... We had a lot of guest coming and going so the bathrooms was a big plus.

July 2021 review of Bob and Merilyn's condo in Kona Hawaii
This condo is great for larger families, we had 4 adults and 3 kids, plus excellent privacy. It's a 2 story condo with only 1 shared wall and in a great location. Lots of amenities, nice kitchen, and pool, bbq facilities.
We enjoyed cooking or barbecuing, plus the main family pool and restaurant is great for days when you want to relax and take a break from the beach. There are snorkel gear, sand and pool toys plus beach equipment so you don't need to bring those with you, which is very convenient.
I think with a few updates and fixes (leaky faucets, toilets, and squeaky doors, little bugs/critters), this would be perfect. Would stay here again and highly recommended.

Great Condo
The condo was great location and plenty of room. The only thing I really have to say is that we kept finding dead cockroaches for the first couple of days. I am assuming that no one had been in the condo for awhile because of how many we found. I do understand that there are going to be cockroaches and I appreciate that they were dead. I would like to suggest that someone make a quick sweep of the condo before someone new comes in so there aren't so many laying around.

Loved it!
Great condo with ample space and amenities. We loved having access to snorkel gear, extra towels, and so much more. The hosts were very responsive and so helpful when we had a simple issue. I would definitely stay here again! Just as a disclaimer: the condo is 5 minutes from the water, but not a beach. Despite it not being walking to a beach, it is a quick drive to so many other beaches and the town. All around great location.

Plenty of room!
A great place for the price! We had 2 other couples staying in the same resort. Their rooms were definitely nicer and more updated, but not as spacious and were more expensive. A couple of minor issues but my understanding is that the place had just sold to new owners and maybe they haven't gotten around to fixing up the place yet. With a few furniture upgrades (couch in living room) this place could be a 5 star condo. The beds were comfy, A/C worked great, and pretty much everything was as it should be. There was one issue, but I don't think it was any fault of the owners. Owners can feel free to email me and I will let them know.
Pools were nice and the facility was well maintained. Sadly, restaurants were closed (Covid) but otherwise everything was great. Walking distance to food and groceries.
Overall, very spacious especially if you have a large family or 3 couples, and a good bargain at the price. Would consider staying there again.

Good Condo to rent!
The condo was just perfect for us, I will try to book it again. They provided everything we needed. We were so happy to use the snorkels and fins. The property manager Joe answered each call call quickly and helped me with questions. It’s was very nice!

Our stay
We wanted a staycation to get our minds off of what was going on and I had stayed in this unit previously so I was excited to go back. I was very unhappy when I learned the entire resort was closed and the pools were closed. Wish I had known before booking. It should say that on the website. Other than that the staycation was very relaxing.

It was a very nice condo supplied with everything you need. The instructions were complete and well organized Great having nobody above or below us and we really enjoyed the quiet location off of Alii drive.
My only suggestion is to replace the Master bedroom bed mattress, it is uncomfortable and noisy. The mattress feels like a futon and not for side sleepers.

Spacious townhome
Wonderful spacious place in a great complex. Lots of room for everyone, beautiful view from the Master bedroom deck, choice of two pools and hot tubs. The unit itself was a little dated but very functional. Would definitely stay here again!
