One of a Kind Experience!
This gorgeous property is like a masterpiece! It's exactly as described. The attention to detail is impeccable and combine the level of detail with the perfect location, right on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, makes this a true treasure in Venice. Can't wait to visit again!

Impeccable Property
There is not a better location in Venice Beach than this property, and it is an architectural gem. We will definitely return.

Wonderful stay in Venice Beach
We travelled over the 2018 holidays with our adult children. We wanted a place where anyone could leave home and walk to shops, coffee, restaurants, etc. - certainly not easily done in LA. Michael's place was perfectly located for this. Abbot Kinney is the main street in Venice, bustling with great shops and restaurants, yet it's only a few miles to Ocean Ave and the heart of Santa Monica and a few blocks to the beach. The house has all the amenities you could need, and was laid out perfectly for our family. Michael was a gracious host - although he was away during our stay, we were greeted by his house manager who was very helpful for the walk through when we checked in. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable vacation. Our drive back to LAX took about 20 minutes - it's that close to the airport, helpful if you have an early morning flight. We'd like to return someday. Highly recommend!

terrific experience
This is a unique property--impressive and perfectly designed for the setting. Large rooms, remarkable use of patio and terrace spaces. Indoor and outdoor living fused beautifully.
Location could not be better. I stayed for almost 2 weeks and never needed a car.
The apartment is beautifully appointed and spotless. The owner made clear his hope that I would treat the space gently, and I did. If you're looking for a beach crash pad where you can bump around and leave your marks, then look elsewhere. This is a gem and should be treated as such.

Outstanding location. Outstanding property. Even more outstanding owner!

My wife and two children and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property. We were supposed to stay at another home away property which fell through. We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property instead. Michael, the owner, was very accommodating to us. The property is even more amazing in person than the pictures. It is an absolutely fantastic place to stay for your time in Venice! The property itself is spotless. Right in the middle of all the activities you would want in Venice. Not to mention the property is architecturally amazing!

This is a great space in a perfect location. Our group of four adults loved being "where the action is" in downtown Venice, but because of the design of the apartment, we were not bothered by street noise. Michael answered all of our questions about area restaurants and other attractions promptly and, though he was out of town during our visit, made sure that his assistant met us and served as a more than adequate backup. Because of the stairs, this is not a place for anyone with climbing issues, but otherwise, it is terrific. The two indoor parking spaces were a huge plus. We hope to return.

We really enjoyed our 4 days here in Venice. The location was excellent for walking the shops on Abbot Kinney. The beach was just a short walk away. Santa Monica was a 5-10 minute drive or $10 Uber. Michael and Mary were very attentive and easy to work with and our deposit was promptly refunded within a week.
We would stay here again!

What a wonderful space! I highly recommend staying here on your visit to Los Angeles! My family and I rented the space for a week through Thanksgiving and enjoyed every minute – we are counting down to our next trip! We comfortably shared the space with 6 people. The architecture and design is cool & hip just like the street it’s located on– it’s much more than just an apartment. It’s airy, light, spacious and clean – green nooks with beautiful succulent plants – you move constantly between outdoors/indoors within the space. The bedrooms are roomy, the kitchen has all the appliances you need, the dining room is perfect for a Thanksgiving meal and my favorite part - the rooftop with an outdoor fire place is ideal for enjoying a book in the sun or a cozy drink in the evening! The apartment is conveniently located on one of my favorite streets, Abbot Kinney – fun shopping, excellent coffee & delicious food (highly recommend Gjelina’s) and a close walk/bike ride to the beach. There is also room to safely and conveniently park a car and bikes – super convenient in LA. Thank you to Michael (the fantastic owner) for sharing his amazing home with us. I certainly hope to be back soon!

I had the great fortune to be able to spend two full months in Venice at Space B this summer. I can't recommend the home or the folks associated with it strongly enough: from the thoughtful outfitting (everything you need and nothing more) to the beautiful decor to the owner and his team, this is an above-and-beyond vacation option.
One thing worth mentioning is that the photos really don't do the innovative nature of the home justice. The layout is a bit too complex to describe easily in photos or even in a floorplan. The layout allows you to move between indoor spaces and an outdoor courtyard for a real LA feeling.

We enjoyed every minute of our extended stay at Space B. The location is hip and full of energy. It was so fun to be on Abbot Kinney, truly one of the coolest neighborhoods in LA. Space B is a gem- the owner is meticulous in every detail in the home from the linens to the electronics, the high end cookware/utensils in kitchen to the spotless interiors and exterior areas. We enjoyed all the bright natural light throughout the day and the indoor/outdoor living--just the way one imagines LA living to be. Anything we needed was attended to immediately. Honestly, we cannot say enough good things about Michael and his amazing home!

A generous environment
The apartment feels like a house. It is filled with natural light & we had a gentle breeze through the whole place with the internal courtyard doors open day & night. It is very secure & offers an oasis of calm.
The owner/designer has been very generous in attention to every detail from the faultless building design to the cutlery, china & the bed linens, it is all lovely to touch and use, everything works, the kitchen is well stocked with lovely equipment and the beds are very comfortable! The atrium gardens are fascinating, beautifully colourful and like everything else- just right.
The owner is very kind & attentive but not imposing. The information pack is informative & thorough - not least the restaurant list provided. He recommended the best coffee bar & it is the best coffee I have had in the USA.
The place is spotlessly clean & the effortless to keep clean.
Parking is great & secure & my bike is down there too.
The second bedroom is across an internal atrium & so can be very private- our teenage son sleeps there before between surfing & skating in the venice skate park.
It is situated on the best restaurant & shopping street in LA & very dangerous to live so close to an exquisite bakery. The beach is just down the road & is a lovely stroll with or without your surf board, but you are stepped back from the craziness of the venice beach carnival atmosphere.
What's not to like?
We will have been here a month & will be sad to leave.
Would highly recommend it to anyone.

GORGEOUS
I recently had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house. Situated in a wonderful block, just 6 blocks from the beach, it was perfect. My parents and my 5 year old daughter absolutely loved it, Not only is it comfortable and welcoming, it is designed in such a way that there is light everywhere and also privacy; interesting views throughout; the building materials are elegant and organic; the feel of the place is natural, easy going but with sophisticated lines, furnishings and appliances. Often the places that are elegant are not also user friendly but this place was both -- The beds/bedding were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious and the baths grand; the kitchen was modern, big and easy to work in. I have only one comment and that would be that a smaller saucepan would be very useful! All in all a total delight, a great place to have spent a working vacation.

superior live/work environment located in the heart of Abbot Kinney Boulevard District.
I'm a commercial producer from Portland, OR. I rented Space B to live and work out of during a recent Los Angeles commercial production. All the comforts of home and a great place to work and hold client meetings. i highly recommend this beautiful space.

Amazing house in perfect location
I stayed in this architecturally designed house with two couples, and we were absolutely amazed by the house. The attention to detail in the modern and functional design was incredible - down to the outdoor decking area with a hot stone fire, and the internal courtyard scattered with succulents.
The listing description and photographs perfectly match the house, which was in pristine condition.
The owner Michael was extremely helpful in pointing out the house and location facilties, and made our stay a very comfortable one. It was a very easy and enjoyable stay, and much more enjoyable and glamorous than a hotel.
I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to stay in an architectural masterpiece - it is an amazing experience.
There is a great bakery just downstairs, and Axe is only up the road (wonderful brunch).

A Perfect Summer
I was lucky enough to spend six weeks in this delightful property. Stylish and comfortable, the apartment became our home from home. The adults enjoyed living on what is arguably the funkiest street in Venice/Santa Monica, and my five year old daughter loved the beach and a cycle down to Santa Monica Pier. Oh, and DISNEYLAND is easily reached - still, you can't have everything!

the perfect choice (for us)
We just finished a 3 1/2 weeks stay here, visiting from NYC, and long to return! The apartment is exactly as depicted -- intentionally designed, drop dead gorgeous, very spacious, and centrally located. What you cannot see in the pictures is the wonderful flow of air from the ocean, the moon out the bedroom window at night, the yummy sheets and towels, the gargantuan bathtub, the perfectly laid out kitchen, and the great balance of feeling that you're living in a home while not being overwhelmed by someone else's stuff. We felt that we were living in an impeccably art-directed but unfussy setting, a sophisticated apartment that also felt totally comfortable, and a space that brought in the outdoors while also offering a retreat. While we had come to LA in part to visit friends and family, we never wanted to leave the apartment, and kept inviting them over to visit us, cooking meal after meal from the Santa Monica farmers market.
We also loved Venice. Its a real neighborhood, edgy and fun. Within a 10-minute walk there are at least 4-5 restaurants within a 10-minute walk that deserve a visit (or two, or three!), design stores, clothing stores, a spinning studio, a yoga studio, and phenomenal coffee (Intelligensia, where we sat, and read the paper every morning). Within a 20-30-minute drive are great beaches and mountain hiking in one direction, and all that LA has to offer in the other.
Michael, the owner, was low-key, attentive and available. Maria, the housekeeper, kept things spotless.
