Exceptional
The view from the terrace was breathtaking and definitely the highlight of our stay in Ribeira Quente. We were delighted to receive a welcome gift upon arrival, and the apartment was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. However, accessing the apartment with a car was quite difficult. It would have been nice to have more toiletries and a hair dryer available for guest use. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a stunning view.

very nice apartment with a very kind host, lovely island
the view and the location were wonderful. Ribeira Quente is a lovely quiet town and everything is very green
the ants in the living room and kitchen were annoying

Superb
Great view to the sea and nearby village (Ribeira Quente), sound of the sea, clean, friendly host and staff, good kitchen, wonderful pool with great view, too (though you need to take some extra stairs as its not on the same level; not heated in winter)
Not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as there are some stairs to climp. Access by car is a bit tricky but feasible, especially for larger models, as there are narrow bends in the city.

The first time but definitely not the last here!
The check in and out went smoothly. The host and stuff were very friendly and helpful. The view is amazing. We spent a perfect time here.
The parking is a little tricky.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we loved being there
We loved sitting on the terrace outside the apartment to eat meals while enjoying the sea views. The pool area is absolutely stunning too. The grounds are beautifully kept with lovely plants. Inside the apartment is decorated very nicely too, & we try well equipped.
The sitting space is quite small, with only 3 comfy chairs which was a little difficult as there were four of us. Maybe if the TV was wall mounted it could accommodate a small sofa? But overall it’s just lovely

Lovely spot, private, could bump it up a notch.
Good spot, private, pool. Could use more breakfast variety, and knowing breakfast price upfront. Some small living room bugs. Plenty of hot water.
See above. Surprise breakfast cost. Bugs. Needs a toaster.

Just everything!
José met me with a warm welcome and it was all up from there! His property is perfectly placed in town with spectacular ocean views, a pristine infinity pool, a jungle oasis for all my plant lovers out there, and with easy access to village amenities. This will definitely be my go to anytime I end up on São Miguel! I was not ready to say goodbye.

Exceptional
We stayed in Casa de Pedra in 2019 and when planning our trip to the Azores this time we couldn't think of staying anywhere else! The location is amazing, tucked away in a small fishing village with just a couple of restaurants but about 15min drive from Furnas. The house is very clean and comfortable, the bed is huge and super comfy! The kitchen is nicely fitted with enough to cook if you wanted to. The bathroom is clean and the water pressure is very good! The pool is very nice (even if it was too cold for swimming in April) and the view is insane! The owner is lovely, will come and meet you in the village to show you how to get to the property. He also left us some food and wine in the house to enjoy. Can't recommend this place enough!
Nothing to do with the property itself but just be aware that the road to get to the house is very small and the parking can't be a bit tricky so if you're renting a bigger car it might be easier to park it in the village and walk up to the property (it only takes 2min!).
