Lovely quiet location, comfortable bed, great shower
Needed a bit of TLC, only basic cooking equipment available, Wi-Fi was very hit and miss, when working was slow but ok, unfortunately were times when it didn’t work at all.

The setting was idealic and the accommodation was comfortable. Loved the welcome pack.
Internet was not available for about 5 hours in the evening.

Food hamper was a lovely touch! The flat had a homely relaxed feel. The bedroom and bathrooms were spacious, however more storage in bedroom could have been helpful. The area was quiet and serene in the countryside surrounded by great views and wildlife. Although the location was not near many amenities, it was central to many of the larger towns which made getting to see the whole of Kent accessible by car relatively quick.
The stairway up to the flat is quite steep which made getting luggage in and out tricky. An additional kitchen knife would have been handy. The smell of horses was to be expected but overwhelming at times.

We stayed here during February half term with my 3 teenagers. Splendid location, nicely tucked away in quiet countryside. The house was clean, warm, and very spacious. The welcome hamper was a thoughtful touch and was well received. Dover Coast, Herne Bay and Canterbury are all within easy reach by car. Had a wonderful time and would visit again.

Traditional farmhouse with a large kitchen, which was well equipped, leading to a dining room with a table and chairs to seat ten people. A lovely old fireplace with a log burning stove made the sitting room cosy and inviting. The bedrooms were traditionally decorated with comfortable beds. It was a perfect place to celebrate a family get together.
We would have appreciated a cloakroom to hang coats and store walking boots.
It would have been convenient to have a downstairs loo.

We love the location as it is easy to get to a number of nearby places i.e. Sandwich, Canterbury, without too much of a drive and the actual property is really quiet and private.
The house was extremely clean and tidy and all the relevant crockery, cutlery, etc was available. There was the added bonus of a lovely little hamper of goodies left by the owners for us upon our arrival. Due to the time of year that we stayed (mid-December) they even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the lounge area that, along with the open fire, gave it a really seasonal feel.
The only issue that was picked up on by all 7 of us that stayed was that the water pressure was extremely low. It was not that noticeable in the kitchen when filling the kettle for example but it really did make showering a chore, particularly for the 4 females in the group who all have long hair as it made it very difficult to rinse the shampoo out thoroughly.

A beautifully looked after cottage set on a quite country estate.
The property was immaculately presented with a generous complimentary welcome basket.
There were other guests in the other accommodations however we did not hear them during our stay.
we stayed with a baby and a toddler as well as grandparents and felt that the property was safe and suitable for all.
it looks as though works are being done on buildings for future accommodation however this did not impact our stay or enjoyment of property.

We liked most and the location was great for us
The
steep stairs.
The noise in the morning with staff using the downstairs toilet.

the large lounge was ideal, great to fit so many if one room comfortably. same with the dining room. the bedrooms were a good size and plenty of bathrooms. beautiful scenery.
Parts are quite dated and a little rustic. it could be modernised a little, but then it was good value for money.

Just open the door, the keys up some stairs in code box.

Nice size for 1 bed self catering
Sounds petty but there was nothing to clean the floor (a dust pan and brush for example)

The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and much appreciated.
In need of TLC and updating. Considering its a property for larger groups there are not enough glasses and this clearly is not checked . We were a hen party of 9 and there was only 5 champagne flutes. There was not a single serving bowl for crisps or snacks other than two vegatable dishes with the dinner service. Just providing some small wooden bowls would be nice. when we pulled one of the curtains the clips that hold them up were so brittle about five just crumbled on the floor. Some of the metals bed heads had screws missing. The heating system is solely operated by two thermostats. None of the radiators could be adjusted and the water in the sink was scolding hot. The table in the pictures looks lovely laid with a tablecloth but in reality had bits of food stuck in the huge gaps in it and was so high when you sat down on the chairs, my dear old mum pretty much disappeared lol. It needs some love and care as it is a lovely property otherwise.

The grounds and easy access for walking the dogs.
the oven wasn’t big enough and some areas desperately need a revamp. Peeling Lino in the bathrooms, sunken sofas etc just for the money you pay could do with a bit of work doing on the property.

quiet and comfortable in the countryside
steep stairs up to the property

The house was perfect, very quiet, very warm and really homely.
Some kindling to go with the logs so we could have a fire.
Radiators are playing up in the downstairs bedroom.
Mice in the loft in hobnail boots!

Nice quiet area, middle of nowhere, our sort of break.
Only downside is that the flat is next door to a worker's flat and you can hear them going to work early morning.
4.5 / 5.0
Lovely house, full of character and well equipped
A bigger TV would have been nice and non-slip mats for the showers - just suggesting.
5.0 / 5.0
We liked having spacious rooms each and things provided like tea towels, goodies, bathroom accessories and plant of linen
A couple of minor issues no television remote working, wall light in one bedroom not working, not sure where to put the glass and compost recyclables Two door keys would have been useful
3.0 / 5.0
Ideal location quiet near several attractions and beaches so good for a base
The showers just dripped when in use they need some attention the flow was painfully slow hair washing took so long as couldn’t wash out soap it was so slow . Not sure if there was ever a fire you would get out as only front door having a pregnant person with us no way she would get out a window nor would I as a larger person no would any elderly person think these issues need resolving as the house itself is lovely

Having space to relax in the living space was great in the evenings. Being self catering it allowed for us to choose were we ate. The flat was well supplied with kitchen equipment but it was a random mix which was missing oven trays (we brought one and left it behind) The flat was clean and tidy. We had a lovely surprise of a welcome package of goodies which was thoughtful. Overall a generally peaceful spot to relax and unwind.
We unfortunately had an inconsiderate neighbour who had children and allowed them to run up and down the stairs to the flat in the evenings which disturbed the otherwise peaceful stay.
