Lovely young man on reception at 00:35!
Easy. Clean. Exactly what the needed

Nothing
Everything. Room was dirty, never been to a hotel room that was so dirty. Dust everywhere, stains on the walls and in carpet, some dirty red jelly stuff on nightstand.
We did not want to stay here any longer so went to the reception where the friendly receptionist told us we could get a refund. Problem is we NEVER got the refund (because we had already loosened the cushions, make the room 'unsellable'). Biggest joke ever, they wanted this dirty room to sell to others.
I have never left a bad review but this experience was absolutely horrible.
3.0
A pleasant 'no frills' overnight stay.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable I also liked the hand and body washes in the bathrooms nice to see some quality and not some cheap stuff that dries skin out.
Rooms a little dated could do with a touch up. Fans in bathrooms very noisy and take a while to shut off very annoying when you can hear the other rooms either side of you.
2.5
Everything apart from what I didn't like in the question below.
The room (Room 38) was situated in a noisy position. I could hear the humming of electrical machinery throughout the night.
4.0
The room is very spacious and quite, beds really comfortable. The bathroom is big, towels clean and abundant. There is a lot of space where to hang towels and clothes.
We enjoyed our stay, nothing to complain about.
Just a suggestion: a toilet brush might be useful 😅

Not much! Only the reception area.
Very tired and in need of redecoration. The surfaces in the room were varnished and everything stuck to them!

good location
two single or little beds prefered over two double beds

Not much. Room size was ok
Carpet ripped. Room tired. The M74 wasn't open so we had to use the back entrance. Seeing that it's a service road it wasn't marked well on Google. A message from the hotel warning us would of saved a 20 mins detour as we tried to use the normal entrance

location
I paid £140 for one night to stay with family. It was a terrible stay because No Hot water at all. Poor cleaning.
Hair in bathroom and on pillow cover as well.
Carpet was very old, and smelly.
I will not recommend this hotel. Don’t stay there if you want to spend good time with your family.

Location
Very sticky work top wrong cleaning product, worn beds old mattresses. Cold showers, old bathroom, dirty bath , kids had no wash, unable to offer an earlier check in at 1400, travelled from London from 03.30am with 2 young children, Hotel didn’t inform us the motorway was closed that evening our route back after visiting family. was an understatement frustrating, avoidable unacceptable a lot of work and care and improvement needed.

The room was run down the bathroom was in need of repair. We tried to change rooms but there were none available so was give a £10 food voucher , we would of rather had a different room. Will not be staying again.

Nothing all good thanks

Ideal for a 1 night stopover to break up the long journey as right on route at the services. Reception Staff were chatty, Bed was very comfortable.
Room showing wear and tear and soaps had run out but it's cheap and functional so no complaints.

Mcdonalds and Costa
It seems the hotel is meant only for Motorway visitors.
it took us more than an hour to reach Hamilton by bus and we had to take a taxi otherwise we had no chance to reach that totally inaccessible place.
The woman at reception was totally rude and not helping at all. It seems they had some previous bad experince with some guests. However for someone who is new in Scotland and just vistor, and has to face totally unhelping receptionist, is very disappointing. Extremely poor to no WiFi connection. Beds were not comfortable. It was a mistake to book this hotel!

4.5
Our rooms were clean with everything we needed. The location was good for our plans as a family.
Handy to have a McDonald's just feet away including a WHSmith, Costa and small arcade.
Bathroom walls needed a paint ( but otherwise clean).

Staff were helpful and friendly and tried to help as much as they could.
One side of the main doors to hotel would not open. Staff could not open them. This meant I had to take a wheel off my wheelchair and crawl on the floor to get in and out the main doors. I also had to do this again at the room door. The main front doors should all open for safety reasons. Even a pushchair wouldn't get through the one. Staff should be shown how to open these and if they are broken they need fixed.
Lights at bedside not working.
Carpet stained and ripped.
Bath plug chain broken.
Dogs allowed to bark throughout the night.
Children screaming and slamming doors at 5am.
WiFi wouldn't connect and number it gives to call does not mention whether it would be chargeable. Staff should be able to help connect on site.
