Gammelt ærverdig Hotel med fin beliggenhet .

Beliggenhet ved sjøen og kort vei ned til havnen og stranden. Deilig basseng . Gode senger . Fine omgivelser og rolig sted.

Dårlig tilbud til folk med el bil. Var to ladere uten strøm ved inngangen. Og to ladere i nærheten uten kabel. Fint om dette kunne ha vært opplyst på hotellets info sider angående lading av el bil, så hadde man tatt med lader hjemmefra. Vi kjører vanligvis ikke rundt m laderen vi har i felles garasjen der vi bor. To andre ladere på området virket heller ikke og alle var kabel løse. Angående frokost som syntes vi maten var bra jevnt over, men savnet det å kunne skjære brød selv. Første frokost var det kun ferdig oppskåret brød. Og ingen rundstykker . Til middagen var det ferskt brød man kunne skjære opp selv , men ikke frokosten ..? Noe merkelig .

Beautiful historic building, but the room very basic and old for the price.

I got a smoking room that have old room lingering. Without even asking me or confirming it first. We took late breakfast time 9.30. Where most of the food almost gone, table not clean from dirty plates n mugs. Feel rush to finish our breakfast.

The Front Desk Clerk was not Very Nice, it seem like I was bothering him and would not give details

The Front Desk Clerk was not Very Nice, it seem like I was bothering him and would not give all the information about the Hotel. he did mention how the breakfast each Morning would work. I had to come back to inquire and set a Reservation in advance, he did not provide details unless I asked first. Please provide a Refund of our Stay for 1 Night

Superb

Great location with a beautiful little private beach and pristeen waters. Breakfast spread was good. A la Carte lunch very nice. Clean comfortable rooms.

Dinner options are limited and somewhat confusing. There's an a la carte option at the bar but it consists only of snacks, no real dinner options. There is a set menu option but it is fully set and only starts at 7pm (not ideal with small kids) and it's overly formal.

Nice location but very poor service.

Nice location

Service is poor. We have in our family 1 vegan and 1 vegetarian. I emailed about this before we arrived, I called them before we arrived and also at arrival we asked what they could do for breakfast. The result was none and the staff has also no intention at all to arrange anything. They just repeat what they have for food and do nothing. Very disappointing.

Comfortable, welcoming, great location.

Location suited us as we needed a stop on our travels from Flam to Kristiansand. The location and view of the lake were great. Restaurant dinner and breakfast were good. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. For us it was the fact they had a guest laundry that was best. It was the only hotel on our 6 week trip that had one. Not sure what Europeans do for clean clothes as we stayed at most places only 1 or 2 nights so not long enough to use the very expensive hotel laundry services. Laundromats seem to be few and far between.

Rooms were a bit cold - for us. The curtains didn't quite block out enough light at night when the sun was still up.

Nice two night's stay but nothing more

Great hotel for a stopover on the way to the west coast. Ideal if you plan to go from central Oslo, or that region, and over to the west coast on a 2night's trip. Much used by biker's who're willing to pay what it costs for a bed

Check'in was a little bit ad-hoc. Reception a bit on the cordial rather than friendly. The hotel rooms are overpriced whilst compared to the offering itself, even by Norwegian standards. While check-in is "digitized" our encounter wasn't straight fwd. Dining reservations was operated by sheets of paper and, apparently, did not correspond with check-in details. Hadn't we asked we both would end up paying double, since we were assigned to double rooms but had made reservations as single. My room had an interesting stair case in it, leading to where I don't know. The bathroom in my room had shower since only one shower door or half a shower enclosure water splashed all over.
